Great video uploader I enjoyed it David was the man he made the temps him Eddie and Paul and Blue fuck Otis with he was 1 of the reasons why the temps were struggling after David Ruffin left the group why would he get mad because he signed a solo contract with Motown now I think the group should have been called David Ruffin and the temptations I am not taking away from Eddie, Paul, and Melvin all them were not afraid to sing but you were you never could electrify a crowd like those guys.
people stop hating Rap. I don't like rap, but i don't hate on it and i still consider it popular music. Why can't we all just listen to our music and share with people with similar interests?

I remeber when I was a little boy in the mid 70's my parent would play this song and other Motown artist on a 8 tack tape while we were traveling down south to my grandparents house. Great memories....
@SteveD042661 Probably not. The older generations naturally have trouble embracing new technologies and new ways of thinking. I'm looking forward to seeing what we're capable of once yall are out of the way.
@Azu910012, God Bless you!!! How in the Hell can you compare this Music to rap? Give me a break! I really feel sorry for the youth of today, they have not clue one about the Greatest Music was during the 50's thru the mid 80's, No doubt about it. Come to my channel, I have the Greatest Music of these Eras, just listen to the rhythm, the blending of the voices with the Music that was played on Musical Instruments. This was the Golden age of Rock & Roll, Motown, & the Ballad. Rap sucks!
Can't believe there's 1 dislike, if there's anymore to come then seriously there's something wrong with your taringa (ears)!!! Absolutely amazing & unforgettable these true Legends!!!
This is my Favorite Temptations song - and Lord Have Mercy Mr. Ruffin… He dipped his voice in butter and wrapped it in Soul on this one… Sing In Peace Kings!!!
This song really makes me feel better and helps me going on throughout my day. My first girlfriend died after 5 years of cancer and I have been single for almost 2 years now and crying does make the pain feel better. Then after being friends with a woman for 7 months telling her that I love her tells me she only sees me as a friend and we broke up. Hopefully life doesn't have to be this hard I am waiting for it to get better.
@DanielSchmidt94521 Hang in there. I lost my dad in December and it is horrible feeling. I talked to him just about every day and everything seems to remind me of him. Just when I think I am having a normal moment I will realize he is gone and I get sad all over again. Coming to this video made me remember him in a good way because he loved the Temptations and this song as well. I pray things get better for you.
I love this song...it is my absolute favorite song by the Temptations....there is so much pain and hope in this song...and I have felt that way plenty of times. It is simply a great song...Love it...
Now THIS is what I call THE TEMPTATIONS! Not the bullshit that came after the lineup after this one. Haters start talking trash. You're just close minded idiots :)
The sound a clarity on this video are great! What a performance. I wish we still had these men doing there magic. However, to those of you who think that the only music out there is on the radio or television....go see some local music until you find what your looking for. there are a ton of fine performers artists and musicians that aren't being spoon fed to the masses. Enough said!
Funny thing is that I wasn't raised listening to this music, but ever since I can remember this is all I listen to, i'm 22 and I'd rather listen to oldies than todays music...there was so much passion, meaning and depth to music back in the day....now all that is gone!
In addition, I just need to say that when I watch videos like this or whether it's Dean Martin or Sinatra or The 4 Tops, whom ever, they're wearing tuxedos or suits. It brings a sense of civility and manners. And not only that, back then performers weren't in our faces with their political beliefs which frankly dilutes the pleasure I find when watching some of today's performers. I 'm sure back then they had their opinions but they recognized the neutrality of their profession.
Just read a couple of the comments below referring to race. Let's just stop with the nonsense. But, since it was brought up, I'm a white guy in my mid 50's and my absolute favorite music came out of Motown. EVERY single aspect of all those great tunes is missed today . . . the melodies, and the lyrics are nostalgic and will NEVER grow old. The only rap I know is when I'm rapping on the bathroom door to see if it's being used. I hope to see the day when rap is looked back upon as a mistake .
@Azu9100012 Thank you! I'm also a white guy in my 50's and I love that Motown sound to. My favorites are Smokey Robinson,Jackie Wilson, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross and the Supremes and many more. I love cranking these tunes at a stop light in my '69 XL. People just look and smile!
@Azu9100012 I like Old School rap. ('78-'88) It's more braggadocio than violent. It's lyrical story-telling. All the other stuff - yuck. And Motown, well, that's music SUPREME!
@Azu9100012 Hip-hop has been around since the 1970s. I don't think it's dying off anytime soon. Also, not only is there plenty of good rap music (why many of those songs don't become top 40 hits in favor of nonsense is another discussion), there is also still good R&B in the tradition of The Temptations. Most of it is relegated to "adult urban contemporary" radio.
@Azu9100012 I'm 17 my parents are in their 50's though so I grew up on this music but of course I'm an avid Hip-Hop fan and an upcoming artist. Music is your expression of self. You can't judge the way I do it and say someone else did it better. You simply cannot judge something just because you can't relate. There is no such thing as a mistake when it comes to music because there are no mistakes when talking about how a person feels.
@stebecool What happened to white people? lol..that's silly...ask what happened to the music industry overall...and why the corporate whores are only interested in pushing garbage...across the board.
@stebecool Times changed, they came out with hip-hop and that rap bullshit. Some still make good music, but nothing like in the 60's, 70's and 80's. You don't need talent or class anymore to make a music and I wouldn't call that shit music. All the real talent has gotten old or died, so for me I just listen to the old good real music and the hell with that shit they make today. I really feel sorry for this generation, because they don't know real music and they never will.

You know who else lies about their age on the internet?
The guest stars on "To Catch a Predator" with Chris Hansen.
Just sayin'... people who use their age to try to make a point; end up not making a point at all.
