@theludatoni well there is special heavy machinery to do that at exhaust masters and services, there are no cat's and no mufflers, just straight pipes from the manifold till the end. now i'm thinking of doing straight pipes to my E39 ///M5.
@theludatoni well my story is complicated, i was born in germany, frankfurt. but i'm turkish. and i now live and work in Georgia, Tbilisi. There are no legal limitation here, i know Germany is really strickt about sound pollution. That's why every one goes for Remus or Eisenmann. I'm thinking of either Eisenmann or straight pipes on my E39 M5.
bro i got a chip as a matter of fact i got VEMS V3.3 engine managment unit but the pistons r old and my engine failed on dyno)))) i need forget pistons and a better cooling system))))
Of course. I mean on low rpm's it's much better and it's reaching easly to high rpm's. this was the adjustment before turbo. i put in a HolsetHX50 in it wich pressures 0.9 bar low boost. but my engine failed on a dyno run because of my pistons. the engine was over 500.000 km's allready))) now a days i'm looking to do it again but first i have to get some good pistons....
Oh, I'm going to just get my 525 M20 through EU-test(had to fix suspension, brakes and get down the polution, then I'll at least cut the catalysator, maybe also remove the muffler and have straight pipes. I've also changed the head and have portet it and a 302 degrees camshaft, It moves pretty fast now, I reach 200 quick, but much wants more :D
Of course the sensor makes sense, It senses the mix and adjusts the engine after what it feels. It does not make no difference on the O2 sensor if the cat is, or is not there.
But usually it alters the mix so it dosent poison the cat. I also have a merc 280se, no cat, no oxygen sensors. Besides if the sensors fail, which ive seen happen, theyre very costly to replace and usually awkward to get at. My point is an oxygen sensor only makes sense when theres a cat somewhere along the exhaust system but where theres no cat its an unnecessary component
It is not there to secure that the cat don't get fucked up, it is there to get the engine to run best ! It tries to get the engine to always use 14,7 parts of air to 1 part gasoline.
eyw))) Uurastik bu kadar oldu ama insallah ilerde daha ii videolarla karsinizda olcas bu makinayla alakali. cok yakinda BMW E34 M20B Turbo olcak uurasios iste)))

did you cut out the middle muffler or the last one?
TurboPowaaa 1 year ago
@TurboPowaaa There are no mufflers on it, from the exhaust manifold till the end the whole thing is straight pipe.

@bigdash86
Hmmm... Sounds nice, but how about power loss, is there any?
TurboPowaaa 1 year ago
@TurboPowaaa nope, there was more free flow and because of that more power even.

@bigdash86 how did u do the bending of the pipes? and theres no catalyzator?

well u done well mate))) if u want more juz get a turbo kit and a VEMS V3.3 engine managment. that will be enough for more than200)))

Some of these cars came without a cat as standard. Mine has an oxygen sensor but no cat. Makes no sense haven the sensor atall....

The compression ratio is actually 8.8 to 1. Thats why it can run on 91 ron. If it wer 14 to i u cud burn methanol only.....
