  • Ain't old father time a bastard, it is not five minutes since I was a good looking young lad who turned the girls' heads, now I'm a seventy year old grandad who finds it difficult to turn my own head, not really, I'm still getting up at 4.30 and going into work just to keep me feeling young, any young lads reading this get it all in while you can, life is very very short.

  • nice shots, but the music doesn't fit at all with the video......

  • The beauty of it all is that all of them left behind some amazing work that will be enjoyed by generations to come. Each one brought something to the table for us to feast upon unlike a lot of the "stars' today who pull up to the table, eat the grub, and leave nothing of substance behind.

  • @MrChinesecrested you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • I am 48, and I am so afraid this may start happening to me in 10 or 15 years. I still get carded!

  • @MrChinesecrested I can't wait until YOU get old

  • I'd have loved to have sen Liz Taylor in her 50's without the mask of makeup and dyed bouffanted hair all straggled over her forehead and cheeks......minimal makeup and natural hair brushed back off her face would've looked stunning.

  • @n0iwont Look Elizabeth Taylor there must be a Pony by richard Basset, minute 4:45

  • Ah Marlene Dietrich ... a beauty of them all ...

  • Nice. Too bad you don't have video. As a kid, I had no idea that was Myrna Loy on Love Sydney playing a character strikingly similar to Greta Garbo.

  • today you are young

  • Of course now they are all skeletons or dust so they REALLY are changed now.

  • Myrna Loy 1920's icon

  • the photo of Myrna Loy portrays a timeless beauty not captured in todays standards of trash

  • Loved the photos but I think the song choice is all wrong for these classy and elegant people. It was terribly distracting and even really annoying...

  • I look forward to the resurrection when the dead will come back to life including many of these beautiful people....and then.....even to grow young again!

  • William Holden very very beautiful in youth!

  • I liked this music very much,is hot...

  • For the women, it's unfair that some stars here died young...so never could be photographed as old. Some photos are a decade or more before they died...and some are within a year of their deaths. So this album is not really comparing apples to apples. The men in more cases, seem to age better. They can seem more distinguished, though spiritually, appearance is just the cover of the book..

  • @followthefleet1 Thanks for not including Rock Hudson's photo when he was dying of AIDS. It was heartbreaking.

  • Growing old (visually) sucks!!!!!!!!!! Sorry but it does :(

  • I would have 'jumped' Gary Cooper at any age.....

  • Some of them are terrifying (Kirk Douglas anyone?) but quite a few are gorgeous- Gardner, Hayworth, Leigh, Lamarr, Loy, Hepburn, and I don't mind Mitchum or Cooper too much for the boys

  • People like that don't get old, they just mellow, like fine wine.

  • Great video

  • Garbo,Kelly,Leigh and Hepburn looked beautiful! Did they learned how to stop getting old or something?

  • Doris Day looks the same as she did when she younger and so does Rita Hayworth they are still pretty!

  • Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly and Myrna Loy still looked great when they were old.

  • Stanwyck IS A QUEEN

  • Myrna Loy young photo is beautiful, timeless..

  • Garbo wasnt that old in the old photo bc she was never photographed after 1949, which she was still fairly young and still a goddess

  • AVA........... THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL THAT EVER LIVED

  • So many of them preserved their beauty so well.

  • OH GOD................. CHILLS ALL OVER MY BODY BC I SO IDOLIZED AND IMMORTILIZED THESE GIFTED PEOPLE

  • great idea, however, some if not most of the "later" photos were of them in their middle years, not older years, several were air brushed too! much better to have shown the last known photo of them before they passed away to show the real cruety of age, rock hudsons was dreadfully airbrushed and lana turners was from the late sixties, while only kirk douglas showed the real sadness of age and plastic surgury not blending well!

but a great video non the less.

  • Getting old sucks. Oh to be young and beautiful again. You just don't realize how fast it goes by until it's gone. I'm in my forties and I'm going out kicking and screaming. I look pretty good now but I miss the good old days.

  • i love james cagney

  • and where on earth did you get an old photo of Garbo????

    she wasnt photographed after 1949

  • no photochopping in the 80's. around the time alot of these older photos were taken.

nowadays, who cares bc all the real hollywood celebs are all dead n gone, at least the best of em

  • Fantastic video! Love Maureen O'Hara and Myrna Loy and so many of the actors and actresses you showed! I would love to see what Deanna Durbin looks like now. She stopped singing and acting so early, and completely disappeared from the public eye.

  • young and stupid, or old and wise. damn shame ain't it?

don't forget to tip the waiter.

  • Cary Grant and Greta Garbo looked great when they were older.

  • OMG Kirk Douglas has done way too many surgeries.. He's nose and eyes looks so weird now :(

  • @Kikiwannacracker2010 No, I believe it's Lana Turner.

  • I´M OLD! AND IT´S HORRIBLE TO BE OLD. LIFE IS A PAIN WHEN YOU GET OLDER.

BUT SOME STARS WILL BE ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL AND SHINNING FOREVER.

  • Fun video, but most of these remained in the public eye in their later years, so it's not particularly revealing. It would be more interesting to see stars who truly disappeared from view in their old age.

  • I dont want to get old.

  • They look good all ages

  • Thank you so much for this video. And that was a great song you used for it too.

  • I LOVE, ADORE, IDOLIZE, IMMORITALIZE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF EM, AND THEN SOME!!!!

ABSOLUTE IDOLS AND IM QUITE YOUNG MYSELF.

    THANK YOU SO....

  • @Kikiwannacracker2010 Lana Turner

  • it seams like women change more than men

  • O NEVERMIND, GOT EM ALL FIGD OUT EXCEPT ONE. THAT CHARLTON HESTON ONE STUMPED ME.

  • THAT WAS WONDERFUL.. THANKS SO MUCH!! ANY POSSIBILITY OG GETTING THE NAMES ATTACHED, I DIDNT RECOGNIZE A FEW?

  • Gene Kelly aged very well, as has Doris Day.

  • Wow Cary Grant was the best .

  • Ginger Rogers was without a doubt the biggest shock :o

Joan Crawford, Rita Hayworth, Doris Day and Elizabeth Taylor hardly look different at all :L

  • @ArBoBsIsE Ginger Rogers was in her later years in the photos, if a middle years photo as shown similar to the others she was just as glamourous! same with Deborah Kerr.

  • Great video! Love it and the music! Well done...might have been nice to see the names and years of each of the photos in a pre-slide....just so you know how many years between photos.

  • the last one?

  • @phlapps1 Rita Hayworth

  • I like your video

  • The moral and message of this video is to DIE YOUNG! It's better to be a good looking corpse than to be transformed into a creature from the chamber of horrrors. I don't care what anyone says, growing old gracefully is an oxymoron; like the filthy rich claiming that money can't buy happiness.

  • @Fiftiesflashback Your pretty awesome to say that. Have fun dying young.

  • @coolkid1234533 I'm sure it was in jest.

  • @Fiftiesflashback hehe, pre much the truth

  • Get used to it.

I we are all so lucky to grow this old...we will have the same changes so to speak.

I actually have to commend you because some of your later photo's of the stars were not all that bad. Some that I have seen in the past were even further advanced in the aging process.

  • whats the song answer me please !

  • @sk8Piti it says under the video above the like button. Butterfly boucher - Changes

  • some have really aged well. aww i want to hug them.

  • wonderful

  • Awesome!!! I was captivated through the whole presentation. Thanks for posting.

  • Katharine and Audrey were always beautiful. Naturally!

  • Katharine was always beautiful!! Naturally.

  • Have you seen this video called " Gene Kelly\Cid|Charisse Opening A Colorful show" from Breton2Robert. WOW and the ending is crazy

  • ingrid, doris, barbara, sophia and audrey aged very nicely don't you think

  • @Bergman90 oh and katharine

  • @Bergman90 High, got a lovely signed photo from Doris a few months back.

    Mick

  • @ponrabbel2003 I got a large framed autographed photograph of her for my birthday a year ago, and she also signed two of my sisters favorite films of hers for her birthday as well.

friends of the family know her. beautiful person.

  • My mother would have enjoyed this She always spoke of how time ravaged our physical forms In mind we always stay young but the mirror plays a vile trick on all of us! Maybe some don't want to see or admit what time does to all of us But your video speaks for itself Thanks for keeping it real A+++

  • I've always thought that Barbara Stanwyck aged incredibly well. i love the vid!

  • i love that fred astaire looks pretty much the same:)

  • @barbiebrut Nobody looks the same after 10 years.[some even 5] .. let alone 30 40 or 50+ ... Aging is a bitch!!

  • oh well, we have to get old someday!!

  • Wow that was really cool! thanks for sharing! 5 star!

  • So brush those choppers every day! Everyone of your young to old except maybe Frank Sinatra ?? I just never new...oh' well, most of them were from a day when they couldn't even get an audition without showing a perfect grin. SO I love old movies so much I dream in black and white for the first time ever. These people look just as great in old age as that other age they forgot about. Yeah' right!

  • Wow, Doris Day aged well.

    Mae West, however...

  • im almost positive that isnt garbo when she was older, she ran from photographers when she retired in the 40s. she never made any photos like that beyond the age of 40.

  • @bdavis5306 Her good photographer friend took that picture of her around 1950 when she was posing for a passport photo. She got pissed once he sold them to Vogue and never spoke to him again.

  • These stars reflect that growing old, if allowed, can be graceful and beautiful. Well done!

  • @04554497 growing old is not graceful but it beats the alternative[death] Aging is a bitch ...but it is universal so we unwillingly accept the ravages of time

  • Absolutely DAZZLING video! Thank you.

  • the men seemed to age gracefully better ,but thats usually how it is!

  • @ILUV2SING2005 BINGO My sister always said this !!!

  • Excellent video. They were all beautiful when they were young and "older". At least they could move the muscles in their face. No plastic surgery here.

  • I think most aged very well, I think Maureen O'Hara still looks good for being almost 90, might be because of good genes and that she did not smoke. Alot of my favorite stars in this very good video! :-)

  • myrna Loy is ageless, she's my favorite actress

  • Comment removed

  • let's see how today's " stars " look in 20/30 years, if they are still around. even the ones who died early back then still had style and class...

  • wow most of these women look great and wonderful for their age, and some of the classic men stars don't look that different! Beauty was real back then. Now we can tell when our stars are fake as they age.

  • holy crap where did that second picture of garbo come from? it's been colorized, right? great vid!

  • Interesting video,I wonder how old Gene Tierney was in the older clip, for me Gene was the most beautiful of the big screen movie stars, even in older years the light shone from those eyes and that smile, heavy smoking took its toll though.( A Wilting Rose Is No Less A Rose For That ) For Gene..

  • Lilian Gish lived till she was a 100 born1893, died 1993. It is amaizing.

People were healthier, there were no preservatives, food was fresh and natural.

  • Some aged very well..and some...well...not so much..but they're beautiful nonetheless

  • I've seen better pictures of ginger rogers but myrna loy aged very well.

  • Bogie! Yay! I was a little scared when I saw Rock on there... but you got a decent picture. My favorite actor!

  • luv liz taylor!

  • Some havent changed, and some look better! Its a bit hard to compare because they were different ages and some were ill at that point of the photograph. But still very interesting!!

  • Unfortunately many of our faves had a battle-with- the-bottle and other substance abuse problems.

Claudette Colbert 's pictures hardly changed. She really aged gracefully.

    Excellent video and thank you:D

  • Sad...really sad, I think is like a disease. In my humble opinion, in the future they'll have a cure for that...

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!! Totally loved it. vivien always stayed beautiful and so did audrey and ava

  • Great video! Sophia Loren still looks great today. Ava Gardner and Vivien Leigh are two of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I loved Clark Gable no matter how he aged! Still do!

  • Hahaha..Hedy Lamarr and Myrna Loy didn't appear to change at all!

Wonderful video..all of them were beautiful(and handsome) no matter how old/young they were.

  • Getting old is cool and hip... cause everyone is doing it:)

  • @syntaur

    I would prefer immortality.

  • Oh I loved this :D Such a good idea! They all look wonderful at any age :D

  • I love it! Thanks!

  • Very interesting and charming. .

  • @2:04 whos that i know she comes in a movie cant pick it u help?

  • that is Sophia Loren, and Italian actress and sex symbol of the 1950's-1960's. She won an oscar for TWO WOMEN. anything else just ask

  • where's Robert Redford?

  • @andrezuqueto

um...he isn't in the there because he was after 1955's

  • @mimismith Sophia Loren!!! her newer photos show a much older look>>

  • lovedddddddd it

    thanks heaps

love classic hollywood so much better than it is now

  • Really like this video - what a great idea you had for this! It is in my faves! 5 Stars!

  • Congrats on a great video. Although I recognized many of the stars I drew a blank at about 7. Any possibility of including their names someplace? I'm sure younger folks who are just getting acquainted with the stars of the golden age of movies might find this handy. Thank you for posting.

  • well im only 17 myself, but yeh sure, they'll be named in order in the personal info box. Thanks for viewing and commenting, i'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Thanks so much, xoxclaudia101xox, for listing the celebrities. Helps a lot.

  • Lauren Bacall, Bogie, Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy <333

  • The best ones. I love Bogie&Baby! I also love Katie and Tracy, they worked so well together

  • Fab video, I like it alot. Orson was a handsome fellow, reminds me a bit of Vincent D'Onofrio. 5 stars!

  • Great idea and excellent video!

  • Awesome vid! :) It was really interesting to watch..:DD

  • excellent 5 star job, claudia101!! Interesting how some look just as good, or BETTER, when they have aged many a year. Sadly, some don't do so well. Father Time shows no favorites, we all just have to hope for the best.

    Thanx, Claudia101!

  • Well that was great, and you covered a great many. The music was perfect. One things for sure though, it REALLY DOES suck, aging!! We may have earned the wrinkles, sagging skin, and grey hair, but this girl ain't likin it too much. Sophia Loren looked fabulous though. Thanks xoxclaudia.

  • Great video, the music and the pictures fit perfectly! You've included many of my favourites! :) ***** Excellent job.

  • Wonderful video! You've included many of my favorites. But it is kind of sad, though - seeing all these people, many idolized for their looks, worn with age. I mean, it's bad enough aging as a regular person, but think how hard it would be to get older if you were famous for being beautiful, and having to watch yourself age on the big screen...Yikes!

  • that was great!! a lot of them you could still tell who they were when they got older. i never knew that the older picture of greta garbo was really her!! amazing!!!

    thanks,

    -FREDandGINGER4EVA--

  • Such an original idea!

I think lots of the stars still looked great when they were older.

Audrey said about it: "I don't want people to photoshop my wrinkles away, because I earned every of them." I think she's right, of course everyone looks more beautiful on a younger age - but when man gets older, the face shows knowledge of life (:

  • yeah, lauren bacall said something similar about your life showing in your face too

  • Wow cool! Thanks for sharing!

  • That was very interesting. Ya know, Cary Grant being older - he still looks great. 5*****

  • very cool,i really enjoyed it!thanks for posting

  • Wayhee, excellent video, really enjoyed the photos and the music. Hadn't seen Cary Grant or Gary Cooper or Spencer Tracy older. Greta, Ingrid and Rita still looked great older, not that the others didn't. I've only ever seen Orson Wells older, he was quite a hunk in his younger years. Don't know the actress at 0.43 but she looked stunning. 5 stars!

  • thanks for commenting, glad u liked it. the actress at 0.43 is mary pickford of the silent era. many say she was the first movie star.

  • This is great - and a little bit frightening...

  • Enjoy your youth while it lasts!

  • Love it. have favourited it. Very interesting to see them like that side by side.

  • great!:P

  • very nice video i think that sophia loren and rita hayworth still looked absolutely amazing even when they got old

  • Young or old, we will like them always.

    Interesting theme. Good job!

    Thank you for sharing..

    See you soon,

  • neat vid

  • Great, I love it. They still have a distinguishment about them, even in old age.

  • So much fun ! We all get older - most of these stars still looked amazing as they aged. Thank you for choosing nice photos as they aged - I hate those awful photos you see in the grocery store gossip mags.

Cary Grant looked good young - middle aged -old -he was a cutie !!

    A terrific video ! 5*****

  • ★★★★★ AWESOME thanks toni and claudia ' issy

  • toni, thank you for sharing this with me! thank goodness this hasn't started happening to me yet!! LOL and cary grant?? the guy was only average at his best!! LOL thank you also, claudia, for posting this fun video!!

    david

  • very orginal, but i missed Marilyn Monroe

  • heyyy, im confused with what you mean, but if youre wondering why i left marilyn out its because she died so young- there are no pics of her old. same for jean harlow and jimmy dean. thanks anyway!

  • ideals must not staret'.When, ukhodyat stareyut....To the SOUL of -katastrofa.dlya me them "rabota"-etalon,voskhischenie..Ideal.Kakaya selflessness, otdacha....!5*!Thank you!

  • oh my,....this is amazing. and what I like most about it is that you chose flattering photos of all of these worldwide icons. great clip.

btw, princess Grace Kelly...looks the same imo.

But that's how it is with princesses I guess. they always remain young and pretty 'cause that's what makes a princess, right?

  • Very funny and interesing, and a lot of work. Congrats

  • What a great concept, and love the music, too! Another great video, thanks for sharing it Claudia!

  • i luv it awesome work as always loved cary grant he stilled look good older...5/5!

  • Excellent video! Its going to my favourites! 5 Stars! *****

  • Fantastic Video!

    Great Job!!

And Marlene is in it too,

    Wonderful!!

  • Well done Claudia! I'd like to single out Hedy Lamarr, who remained a gorgeous lady until her passing day.

  • good job girl
