160,000 miles have never had no big problems with it at all very reliable now has 40'' tires and handles them great too

and you cant stay in deep water but a few sec or water will come in the cab

and the transmission was not regeared you cant do that you regear your axles had 3.73 gears in the axles then witch came stock in it but now has 5.13 gears but now i am also run 40" tires not 35

I have woned silverado's since 2002, an would prefer a solid front axle.. But, in all, all you have to do is put tie rod sleeves braces on and the front end is pretty tough.. I have a 2008 silverado, and they have beefed up the front end alot.. I have never had the front alignement get knocked out from offroading like trey said below.

I use to have a 4 door HD. Was a 2002, and only got it aligned once.. That was after I cranked up the height on the front end with the torsion bar's. Hated that sagging look the front ends have! But, I had it in the mud a few times, and never had the alignment go out.. I do know with the new ones since 2007 the front end was beefed up.. I have a 2008, and the whole front end is foreign to me now.. Why I just decided to go with a leveler kit instead of the torsion bar crank up. lol

when you put the lift on did u have to get a leveling kit first? or the lift leveled it? cuz my silverado is unlevel and im thinkin bout gettin the 6 inch lift but it would look dumb unlevel.

a lift will level it..whoever instales the lift can adjust it with the so it is level..

yes i do have a k&n cold air intake well i am planing on lifting it more and repainting it white and leaving all fo the trim and badges off i hope to turn it into a show truck
