  • I can't uderstand his horrible english, but he always give ridiculous excuses when he loses, he and his annoying idiotic fans

  • Nadal's parnets divorced and Nadal was injuried in this match, so he had a mental distraction and phsycial injury. inwise Rafa had his revenge in 2010 french open final, i respect Robin Soderling, he is a great player. Always VAMOS Rafa

  • @halimthebest1 nadal fans are like nadal... putting ridiculous excuses like always

  • ON something. Roids. ON

  • Pretty sure Rafa was hurt. Im not a fan of the guy but he wasn't moving or playing "normal". Something was up. Prolly his knee or both. Plus, he had to lose sometime. King Of Clay maybe, but this was bound to happen. And yes, I think hes something. Jus sayin.

  • I think Nadal's not as gracious this time coz of that 2007 incident where Soderling made fun of him? I dont know. but hes usually very classy so he must be very upset with himself.

  • @giggles014u the 2007 wimbledon incident bwteen them, has a lot to do with it, soderling and rafa truly dislike each other and rafa has declared this openly, in the media, that robin soderling is the only player on tour, he really dislikes.

  • Nadal didn't play good because Soderling didn't let him with that impredictable and agressive forehand. Can't he recognize that???

  • @jorgojas89 rafa won´t give robin to much credit, because he truly dislikes robin soderling and vice versa, their ego´s have colided..

  • This was surprising to hear. Nadal is usually pretty classy in the aftermath of matches

  • Bad Knees!!!!!!!!!

  • Why arrogant if he is telling the truth?.. why is telling the truth arrogant for people?... all these comments here about him been arrogant makes me really angry. Stupid arrogants here, good for nothing but criticizing don´t even know what´s the meaning of that word.

    Go Rafa!!!

  • nadal said always. "I didn't play my best tennis" when he lose to low ranking players. Sodering, Davydenko, Malzer, etc. injury or sick or tired. arrogant excuse always

  • arrogant cheater

  • You people jealous of Rafa, you're all a bunch of anglo saxon racists! Watch the video again.. or go to spec savers. In the tie-break, one of the points the wind affected the ball in the other balls, whenever Soderling hit a winner (or near as damn it) it came off a Rafa short ball, period! What did Rafa do the following year, hit impeccable length. What did Soderling do... lost in straight sets! Rafa hit the ball short in 2009 I rest my case. Thank you and good night!

  • @ganz7ful what has anglo saxon got to do with it

  • @ganz7ful

    @ganz7ful

Check every match in the history of tennis. You'll find that the majority of winners ARE hit off of short balls. It's just the way it works, unless you're Del Potro.

  • if u dont like rafa winning ur life must be as shit as a tree of shite, put your bra on, snap ur nickers back over ur a- hole and fuck off out of it, u lose.

  • @peterpeterxxo shut up you stupid twat

  • @TennisCoachno1 fuck off pathetic little cunt.

  • @peterpeterxxo make me bitch ha!

  • hundreds of players work hard and wont win majors because they dont have talent. rafa has loads of talent. if u want go out and train with rafa then u can be world no1, and win 10 majors, as you too have no talent, gimp.

  • Why are you all arguing about Nadal.. who is a really good player. Some say he has no talent.. wtf? If he has no talent then how can someone who is almost self taught with their own playstyle do so well? In my opinion that is what talent is, and obviously he is a very hard worker who deserves more respect than most people on this comment page lol.

  • @Swordsman808 Hmm, some of the stuff I agree and disagree on. But I like your honest, humorous slant on tennis players. So who's the best out there right now then, do you believe this Djokovic era will last many more years?

  • @Swordsman808 LOL I have to agree with your comment so much. You talk a lot of sense.

Just curious, what do you think of Murray?

  • @Swordsman808 Cocky?. How about self-critical?. And no talent?. Lol. That's why he has won 10 GS. Sure.

  • @Crisstti you can win 10 GS with no talent but with alot of work and Nadal is that way he WORKS HELLA LOT but has no talent if he had talent he would've had 20+GS...

  • @mechkapechka Oh, I see. So you've got to have won 20+ GS to have talent. So no tennis player has ever had any talent. Thanks for clearing that up for all of us.

  • @Crisstti are you stupid or what ? guys like nalbandian are 100% pure talent but are not hard workers and they have no slams ... highly logical

  • @mechkapechka You are the one who seems to be stupid, or blinded by hate. Rafa has talent AND is a hard worker. That is why he's so successful. I'm done talking with you.

  • @Crisstti if he had TALENT AND WAS HARD WORKER then he would have been 25+ but he is only a Hard worker

  • @JohnJuanUnited yeah, running down balls all day long looping them back is not talent, dude.

  • So every match Nadal wins, his opponets played bad? Its a terrible excuse for a professional tennis player, Nadal played bad because Söderling made him bad, this is so disrespectful against söderling.

Nadal, take a look at Federers interviews after he loses, he never complains about anything, he never sais iam injured or I played bad. He always sais that his opponent was better, and played really well. That is class nadal, go and learn from federer u cocky bastard.

  • Nadal said. "Personally, to watch a Pete Sampras versus Goran Ivanisevic match, or one between those kind of players, is not enjoyable. it is not really tennis. " sucks arrogant Nadal.

always exaggerated. always overaction to mad. always fake of time-out. always stupid take time. always cheaters in the game. Illegal coaching. exceding time limit between serves. always ugly gamesmanship. always fake injury.etc. sucks

  • sucks

  • shame on you nadalito

  • @Swordsman808 When as a real fan you go follow what Nadal went through in 2009. This sure as hell is nothing compare to it. Obviously you don't watch enough tennis to know that in the past, he has struggled with other players. He overcame them eventually. You bringing down one of the most talented players in this sport is pretty fucking hilarious. What kind of low ass bitch enjoy spreading that kind of hate and can't give credit when it's due? An insecure asshole just like you.

  • Nadal is an overall better player than Soderling? no doubt. Was Soderling better that day? Absolutely. Saying that this was a fluke because Nadal beat him twice at RG after this is absurd. Every match is a unique event. Federer has an incredible record against Blake and yet good old James beat him at the Olympic games for the first and only time.

  • I have watched the video of the match again. Nadal did not hit short or "to the middle of the court" nor did he "make it easy for Soderling". The swede simply played the match of his life that day. However, most surprising is that the now famous "knee injury that made him lose the match" only appeared a week later. He ran like always and hit like always but faced a guy who made very few errors that day and hit the lines several times.

  • @jeannonin It seems Djoko has "touched" him a few times this year...

  • @Swordsman808 HAHAHAHAHA. A worthy successor? FUCKING PLEASE. Bitch can't handle heat and retired twice in grand slams. Can't handle Andy's joke and take it so offensively.. and pisses off an entire crowd. Has the worst parents as support. You don't have to be fucking ignorant and rude. Keep sucking Djokovic's dick. It suits you well.

  • @Frenchazn94 Nadal has his own history of retiring from matches and using excuses when he loses so don't make this a point of discussion.

  • @Bostero3771 Retired once. Excuses? Obviously you've been listening to the biased commentators. AND WHO ARE YOU? I wasn't even talking to you.

  • @Bostero3771 Once?? Did vs Murray at the AO, once at Wimby, once against Monaco, another one against Davydenko so "once" is not right. BTW I did not realize you were "talking" to anyone. You are posting a comment in a public space so I can comment, so the right questtion is WHO ARE YOU to decide who can comment and who can't?

  • @Swordsman808 He might have beaten Nadal on Sunday but.. lemme remind you that Nadal has 10. Roger has 16. While Djokobitch only owns 3. I will wait 2012 and just watch how Nole defends every point. It will be fun to watch. I do think this is very exciting for the sport, tennis isn't televised as much as football or basketball so. People now get more into tennis.. like here we are bitching at each other. I still can't stand Djokovic's family. Even Federer hates them too.

  • @Swordsman808 i like Nadal off the court, but on the court i don't. You know who i like? Federer...humble guy and such an admirable style...but Soderling played well that day. funny how he takes out the defending champions two years in a row at the same tournament...nadal in2009, federer in 2010...but still lost in the finals...

  • Nadal gave an interview like this because Nadal and Soderling don't get along very well.

  • and im sure if nadal was on top of his game , he would have breezed passed solderling, he didnt play well , and that why he lost, he didnt lose because solderling is a better player

  • @Swordsman808 wow, you describe a guy who has won up to ten grand slams with no talent what so ever, i know he acts cocky and to me he's quit disgusting, but you have to admit he has talent....

  • Rafa is telling the truth. Rafa played his short topspin balls that made it easy for Soderling. STFU haters. The victory is not incredible if Nadal gave him the match? so many stupid hater comments here

  • In that match Soderling was beast, he rape Nadal :)

  • i don't no what the hell is wrong with some of u guys by posting some nonsense comments about rafa .. give him some respect he won 10 GS last year he won 3 stright slam on 3 differnt surfaces even the great Roger Federer haven't done yet 2009 RG was fluke rafa had injuries on his knees he come back on 2010 and 2011 and dominate everyone ..... all the best for rest of the season nadal

  • He was upset beacause of all the french court who where bullsh1t , they

can't stand a spanish champion and they never encourage him, so thats why he answer In that way. Ok he lost, but... he won on the final in 2010 againts robin and this year on cuarterfinals. Come on Rafa #1! 6 RG- 10 GS! VAMOS!

  • @Swordsman808 He could've but he didn't. It was his best at trying to beat nadal in their five confrontations in a RG final. Of course in the next few months, things are gonna get even tighter. Djokovic is bound to be n*1 soon .. his streak and his new confidence. He's a huge threat. Nadal hasn't peaked. He'll be there but he'll have to work for everything that he won in 2010. I don't know about you but it's going to be an exciting year for tennis.. at least on the men's side.

  • @Swordsman808 When things suck? I'm not a Federer Fan but if you watched the semifinal vs Djokovic. What he did was amazing. He didn't win but he definitely shushed everyone that he's still here. Things suck is when 2009 Nadal's year fell apart and people like you who are so aggressive and stubborn to see that Nadal is beyond talented. This isn't about your insignificant self either... so you go and be the ignorant little person that you are. It's what you do best anyway.

  • @Swordsman808 Look at this loser :) Hahaha Keep up! You're so sad!!

  • @Swordsman808 lol says the guy who is safely behind his computer

  • @Swordsman808 WHERE YOU AT NOW ? HMM?! That's what I thought. 10th Grand Slam title FOR RAFA. His 6th Roland Garros. :) Enjoy trolling while I laugh at you and celebrate this sweet victory!! Hahahaha

  • public of roland garros is.....puffff bad bad bad, but..is normal, Win Spain not France.

  • it obvious that he didnt played what he used to play, soderling didnt showed anything special

  • These were all honest replies, if you know anything about tennis or Nadal you would know that he's the best clay court player in history. If you watched the match you would know that he was hitting the ball shallow allowing soderling to attack the ball and drive it deep. Nadal wasn't being arrogant at all

  • I play short.. Yes because you could not match robins aggressive game.. He was playing dee

  • This conference will be the replica of the French Open final 2011 vs Djokovic...

  • @ArjunJethwa Wait for June 6th, Rafa will have a 6th championship.

  • @ArjunJethwa you mean for Djokovic or federer ? which one exactly ?

  • @Swordsman808 LOL! You obviously don't fucking watch tennis except for the big guys to play. Isner won a double title on clay just last week you moron. Nadal played horrible 2 tiebreakers but he turned it around and killed in the last 2. But obviously You didn't fucking watch the match either. Cause all I saw was a lot of aces, first serves in and many many forehand winners. Keep on trolling.. The baboon sits on $21 M while you keep on bashing him. ROFL what a loser you are.. saddening.

  • @Swordsman808 One dimensional? You obviously stopped watching him after 2005. This man has adapted his game to all surfaces and has made it ever more complete.. I call it heavy topsin lefty style with a hint a brutality that makes him who he is. His footwork is fucking amazing. You got a lot of excuses for his success But obviously people like you are bitter and can't accept the fact even if you don't like him he is MONSTERLY talented.. he deserved all the success he's had. Troller these days..

  • @Swordsman808 A guy with "no talent" who has 9 grand slams at home. 19 master series. Has a winning record vs Roger Federer. Owns the Mother fucking clay. Came back stronger in 2010 to win RG, Wimbledon and US = Career Slam. I can totally see where you're coming from... not really.

  • "Söderling won because hew was better today. Thanks for watching."

  • Was a fluke for Flukerling beating Nadal. As shown the following year when Nadal utterly dismantled Soderling in straights in the final.

  • Nadal is so arrogant and obnoxious here. How about giving Soderling credit for winning the match? Soderling's victory was incredible because it is the first time someone has beaten Nadal in Paris. Nadal says he hit the ball shot but that's his fault. Soderling just overpowered Nadal and blasted him right off the court.

  • @JordanjamesX someone other than fed beat nadal on clay @ RG..smh nadal must have been injured

  • @JordanjamesX I don't know where you see arrogance. But you can tell he's upset and it's NORMAL. He did give credit but this was the 1/8 round.. and he was expected to win there and to lose so early was HOLY SHIT! Nadal didn't play his best tennis and Soderling played his best ever vs him because that was the only time Soderling beat Rafa on clay. The last encounter before that Nadal trashed him at Madrid '09. And PH-LEASE Nadal is as humble you can get .. How gracious are you in defeat?...

  • @JordanjamesX In all honest, i thought Nadal did alright. At the end of the day, if Rafa had played badly and Sodelring had played badly, Rafa would of won. Robin had to play ta his best just to give himself a chance regardless. Credit to the Swede, he deserved it

  • Comment removed

  • @JordanjamesX and if you notice, last year in 2010, when Robin beat Federer in the QF's of this very tournament, it wasn't because Federer played a bad match. It seemed like he played badly, but all that was happening was that Robin was just completely overpowering Federer so he couldn't do anything. then this year, in the semis, Federer won one of the greatest semi final matches in grand slam history, IMO. He played phenomenally today, and if he plays like he did today on Sunday, he'll win.

  • @JordanjamesX however, to Nadal's credit, I DO think that Nadal didn't play as well as I've seen him on that day, but I agree that he should've given more credit to Robin. He's like "...sure, he did well." As if he doesn't want to acknowledge it and/or because he disagrees with Robin playing well vs Nadal thinking he played badly.

  • @JordanjamesX Roger did the same when he lost to Nadal in 2008 , it seems that he's a prick , too .

  • @JordanjamesX ALL the top players have sounded bitter during an interview after losing a tough match at one of the majors. Get off your high horse.

  • @JordanjamesX Oh come on! First at all he is clearly frustrated about the loss. Secondly, saying you lost because your opponent played that good, although you know you had a really bad day is such a wrong and disgusting thing to do. These players know they are good, they don't need anybody to suck up to them.

  • @Messier45

Yeah Nadal didn't say anything that made him sound arrogant. He said Soderling did very well. These people will nitpick anything to bring Nadal's reputation down.

  • Wow he is even more arrogant than the GOAT. never gives his opponent the credit

  • @gg2000gg2000 Admittedly, this wasn't his most humble interview, but he is usually very very humble, whether he wins or loses. I think he was just a bit shellshocked during this interview.

  • @gg2000gg2000 Never? LOL That is stretching buddy..

  • I think that's not very nice from him.. ok, he didn't play his best tennis but he ALMOST (I am not saying he did that, he ALMOST did) said that Soderling didn't win because he played better than Nadal but Soderling won because Nadal didn't play any good at all lol.. come on! Nadal was playing very well, shot-making as he always does... Soderling just had too many massive forehands that day and Nadal couldn't stand it. My opinion.

  • @Swordsman808 OK LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • my boy had bad knees

  • @and26rip sure. he wouldnt have made it to the 4th round then.

  • @cj397 he did he had tendinitis in both knees if u knew about tennis youd know that

i had tendinitis in the elbow u can play but it real painful

    dont hate on my boy!!!

  • @and26rip Exactly idiot, if he did then he wouldnt have made it that far. he cruised through first 3 rounds no complaints from a chronic illness, then when he faces a harder opponent he gets fucked

it happens, it was a huge upset.

cant blame it on knees, robin played better

  • @cj397 whatever dicksmack

  • @and26rip its true give credit where credit is due.. that's nadals house for the moment, and that was his one downfall and got his revenge

    awesome story

  • @cj397 no one gives a shit about tennis anymore if it wasnt for nadal it would be dead

  • nadal was very tierd of a bad yera he had, his parents separeted he had family issues and that affects you mentaly knowing that you´re family is having problems and your pretty faar away. and he didint play his best tennis aswell. and soderling played his best. so it´s ovbious that soderling won.. but when nadal is at his top there is only one that can stop him and it´s Roger federer.

  • Comment removed

  • soderling choked in the final like he did the year before. the problem with the swede is that he plays these phantom matches once a year but when he does, no-one can touch him

  • I don't believe you Rafa .... you don't play you best tennis ?

Come on ... Be a man and said what Robin was best in the game .... His drive was like a pistol and you can't stop that ....he games in a unbelievelable level. Come on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @FREDYKOBA fuck you......GO N SUCK ROBIN S DICK N EAT HIS SHIT N PISS U MOTHER FUCKER.....I WILL FUCK UR MOTHER N UR GIRLFRIEND INFRONT OF UR EYES........U SON OF A PROSTITUTE

  • @FREDYKOBA you are totally right man, I agree with you, when you play a sport you play always to win and always at your best or you dont play at all.. shame on Nadal

  • What terrible moments . Happy that Rafa managed to come back and win it again this year!!!!

  • Rafa's English has improved tremendously! I don't think he even spoke or heard much English until a few years ago (people should remember that he grew up on the island of Mallorca in a small town and not on mainland Spain in a larger city like Madrid where English is heard more often), so his progress is really impressive!

  • mentally the strongest EVER. I can imagine anyone in the ATP cry or sulk after a terrible loss, but never nadal. and I say this even though I think Fed is the GOAT!

  • @wanameetyou FUCK FEDERER.....HE IS GOAT SHIT........RAFA IS THE KING,THE WORLD NO1 FOR THE NEXT 7 YEARS....HE WILL WIN 25 GRAND SLAMS N $100MILLION IN PRIZE MONEY....WATCH OUT STTUPID BOY

  • @reagansgirls rager spotted

  • @cappe794 within like the first 10 seconds of this video nadal was talking about what a threat and a strong player soderling is!

  • Nadal is a loser and his fans are just as ungracious as he is. The Australians have a saying fit to play fit to go. Nadal lost this match Soderling still had to win it. Nadal cruised through the first three rounds not dropping a set. However, in this match Soderling was inspired and he just overpowered Nadal.

  • @JordanjamesX When Nadal is healthy, he doesn't drop a set to Soderling on clay. Check the H2H. Soderling should be congratulated, but it doesn't change the fact that Nadal was clearly not his best.

  • I don't think I am watching the same clip as a lot of u guys!! Where is he being rude?? And to criticise his English is just immature.

btw, ever seen a Federer interview when he lose? Now THAT is a bad loser!!

  • RAFA fix your english!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HyperHorse Why should he fix his english, You fix your spanish. Geez egocentric americans. Soon America will be broke and pitiful. Oh gee, it is now.........

  • @mlduree

wtf? He's speaking ENGLISH! Dumbass, learning Spanish wouldn't make it any easier to understand his English! wow.

    What a prick.

  • @mlduree I'm not an American.....

    LOL...

  • he not give any credit to soderling what a bad sportsman

  • @4fabiola

I think most people are telling the truth when they say they didn't play their best. Heck, I bet the number #100 in the world could beat Federer himself, if he's playing his best. But rarely are players 100% in their matches, so you just gotta do what you can.

  • of course, a healthy nadal is unbeatable

    just for the lulz

  • @4fabiola Do you realize that all he gave was excuses? and always said Soderling won because he wasnt doing well that day, shame on Nadal, his ass was being kicked and there was nothing he could be, it had been better if had said that Soderling won because he played great, but he implied that Doderling could manintain his leve of game because he wasnt playing, how stupid is that?

  • @jairito1985 wow lol i realized y u hate nadal so much, ur mexican and he's spanish, mexicans are the spainards bitches, it totally makes sense now lol. ur angry because your nadals bitch lmfao

  • He always does that when he loses. Humbalito at his best.

  • @89Pleasek yeah , also Federer did the same when he got hammered by Nadal at Roland garros 2008 6-1 6-3 6-0 , and he did it when he lost to Novak at the AO this year , Berdych at Wimbledon 2010 , Soderling at the french last year and almost every time he gets hammered by Nadal and the list keeps going and going ...

  • Both are sore losers. But Nadal is in a league of his own when it comes to losing, he has never given credit to his opponent, how many times did you hear him say "I got outplayed, he played way better than I did" etc. WITHOUT adding shit about his injuries, exhaustion and some other paethetic excuses.

  • @89Pleasek Pathetic excuses. You go and become a world class athlete. Endure hours of training then you can start talking. While you keep on bashing, I am celebrating :)

  • Wow I was surprised ! I thought Rafa was fair-play, but when you see the match, Rafa was really good, but Soderling was extraordinary good. So what he says at this press conference is not true !

  • it is true, he was not using dropshots and volleys, he was just standing very far behind the baseline and let soderling push hi maround. we will see this year if he has learned froom his mistakes

  • Nadal's rudeness and immaturity was on full display in this press conference. Nadal did not give Robin the credit he deserved for beating him at the French Open.

  • VAMOS RAFA !!!

  • nadal owns roland garros!!!

  • Congradulations Soderling you played Nadal on his absolute worst day and won...woop de doo. Rafa also restrained himself from saying a trueful fact. Soderling won because I sucked not because he's good. Vamos Rafa!! Crush him this year!!!

  • does anyone have a username called 'sore-eyes'?

  • sorry , Soderling. sorry for the sore eyes hahaahaaa

  • After all the bitterness these two have between them, it must have really stung to lose his first and only match at his favorite tournament to the guy he hates the most. Ugh, ouch.

  • @intldawn

Did he ever lose to Soldering on other surfaces previously? i.e prior to this particular match?

  • @datsun380zx

    meant to say Soderling heheh

  • Not that I know of. They played a contentious match in Rome before this that Nadal won handily and then, of course, there was that really tough match at Wimbledon 2007 where the two of them were mocking each other from across the net. Rafa won that in five sets. But Soderling did beat Rafa on hard courts at the Tour finals in London at the end of 2009.

  • Hmnmm.....

    King of Clay no more???

  • @avzboloy yes he is still the king of clay , and haters like youself have been owned.

  • Comment removed

  • Dont cry for me Roland Garros xD jajajaj

    Keep on crying ..

Tennis at its best WITHOUT Nadal :)

  • lol, you're funny.

  • @MattyOyola21 tennis is at its best when idiots such as yourselves dont watch it

  • @MattyOyola21 tennis is at its best with nadal and he's the new no 1, where he belongs. hope u enjoy

  • GUYS JUST COMPARE HIS LEFT HAND WITH THE RIGHT ... this is UGLY

  • feck of no? nothing rong with my hands

  • federer just smashed the guy who kncokced out nadal in the 4th round, is it federers fault that ndal cant make it in the final to get a chance to beat him, and its nadals own fault for his injuries every match he plays hes running more than the other apponent its always a grugde match for him.

  • i doubt it, federrer wouldnt get that trophy if he faced nadal in the final,,federrer got the big chance of his life after the big 3's lost early.nadal was injured and yet he stil played at garos

  • He wasn't injuried, but tired. His fisical conception of the game, makes him have several fisical problems and be much tired, That's his problem.

  • He wouldn't get that trophy if he faced HEALTHY and IN-FORM Nadal in the final. But Nadal was not healthy and/or not in-form. That's not 'bad luck' it's just a consequence of his style of play. He's been great for the past 12 months and now he's paying the price. It's only HIS fault.

Federer just did his job. He won't say 'I'm sorry that I've won, I know that Nadal is better than me". This year he deserved it and you can't deny that.

  • ye i know what you mean but there is still a chance that he might of

  • Federer beat nadal quite easily on CLAY. Nice try, and he just beat Murray and Djokovic at Cinci to win it. So your argument just went out the window.

  • @takkyu101 federer could never beat Nadal on clay at Roland Garros, only in a maters 100 event or something. Even federer himself admitted he couldnt beat Nadal at roland garros

  • @hhhhdmt really?? when did he say that?

  • @takkyu101

really. when did Federer beat Nadal
