I would like to comment that lives DID get better. Now we were able to leave the country without being shot if we had ways to. There were ways that we would be able to raise our children if we could. I was born in early 89; though I was small, I DO still remember hearing the gunshots at the lobby of my building. My Parents and I left Romania for a better life and we have it now, many did the same and we still come back to love our country. Now we can do THINGS without getting killed.

I would like to comment that lives DID get better. Now we were able to leave the country without being shot if we had ways to. There were ways that we would be able to raise our children if we could. I was born in early 89; though I was small, I DO still remember hearing the gunshots at the lobby of my building. My Parents and I left Romania for a better life and we have it now, many did the same and we still come back to love our country. Now we can do THINGS without getting killed.

In that exact period, things were not so marvellous as it has been 5 or 10 years before, because ceausescu was trying to pay the country's debts, that's why the people were iving a spartan life. He had a good idea, but starving milions of people is not so good. some say that he had no clue about what was happening throughout the country. There are different opinions among different people, depending on how each and every romanian felt the regime.

Indeed... in the Christmas day, for a Christian Orthodox nation is even worst, but we already payed this in the last 20 years. I don't know when we'll have good peoples in the govern.. When they will stop stealing? When we'll have a good infrastructure (roads, freeways), a good health system and a good teaching system, I don't know if I'll see the day when a Romanian university will compete with the greatest universities of the world, this goal cannot be achieved without investment in education.

Am fost si in satele invecinate si n-am vazut nimic teribil, in afara de un taximetrist care m-a escrocat (in ciuda de 19ani de libertate gratie eforturilor mele, inca n-ati invatat sa fiti canstiti)... situatia actuala nu poate fi mai rea decat in ultimii ani cu tiranul sangeros Ceausescu, de fapt un "Partid pentru intoarcerea lui Ceausescu" care sa obtina multe voturi nu exista, si daca dvs. ar incerca sa-l infiinteze, ar fi linsat imediat!
