As a licensed funeral director with 22 years experience you're skipping over a few things. 1, what's with the odd lighting in there? 2, when you lay out anyone's remains - people are going to judge your work.3, casketing a body too low gives the impression it's "in a box", has zero to do w/embalming

@Famfriass God only knows...I always ask for a recent photo and I presume they at least saw one/got one. If there was a great deal of extensive restorative work done they could have used a casket veil(very old school) or changed/rearranged a few things. They may just have gotten into a habit of doing it one way and that's that. Very odd setup.I remember trying to get a f.dir to change a layout and the response was "Weve been doing like this for 40 years!" So who knows what happened.

For all you know that could be a total face reconstruction with countless hours of restorative work behind it. I know all "you" the consumer see the final product which is layed out in front of you. Re: the wig and clothing you can only work with what the family brings in even with guidance from licensed prof. they ultimatley make the decission on burial garments and hair.
@jlicey2 The bottom line is this: the funeral home could have done a better job in how the body was presented. It doesn't matter the condition of the body as I have seen photos of people's who's face was torn off, and you wouldn't be able to tell it viewing the body b/c the funeral home did a wonderful job. It's clear to me and others looking at this beautiful lady, that the body didn't appear to be placed properly in the casket, ad her chin looked like it was touching her chest.

Her real name i discovered is Emily Pantoja, she along with he sister knocked on someone's door and asked to use the restroom, once they were inside the resident they let in two more (male) indivduals, ho robbed the people at the home. The neighbors next door heard what was going on and contacted the local authorties and gave a description of the alleged car and ppl in the car, the driver lost control and wrecked, and this how Emily died.
