I have a hard time using a large barrel curling iron on my natural hair like that because it does not hold curl. Maybe if I got a hotter or better one it would help? The only way I can get it to stay is with a smaller one which takes forever. Besides backcombing are there any other tips to make sure the clips don't show in the back?

@AllthatandMoore wash your hair the day before, do not use conditioner, let air dry, the next day just use heat protection and curl. My hair is uncurlable and this worked for me! good luck:)

i have super tight naturaly curly hair so i always curl my own hair with a big iron to get looser curls then curl my extentions with a smaller iron before i put them in...works realy good for me.
