  • On Xmas Day 1964 Wailers played a show at the Palace, Kingston, a big show for them then. Soon after the show began the electricity cut out. Palace was in an area controlled by don Big Junior & Coxsone Dodd who managed the Wailers, had had run ins with him. Bottles rained down on the stage & the crowd had stuff robbed & snatched. Wailers hid in a toilet for an hour. Then the lights came back on, power cut had nothing to do with Big Junior, but the Wailers wrote this later thinking it had.
