One of the better covers. Actually, I like any cover that changes a song's style entirely. What I hate is when bands sing a song EXACTLY like the original. That's not a cover, that's theft. Some people get all pissy when a new band takes a song and changes it too much. I never did understand that mindset. Can you really criticize someone for being too..... original? Does that even work? when you think of what you're complaining about you have to feel pretty silly, no?

@Bandaids4ever well man I see where you're coming from and I somewhat agree but when a band plays a song as close as they can get it to the original it's more of a tribute to that band kinda like saying "hey, this is what inspired us and what we love to hear and we'd like to share it with you" but there's a limit to it like if they do it live than it's ok but if it's released as a single or on a CD that's just stupid and pointless... but yeah this is an amazing cover

Pretty good. I love this song. I wish the singer had personalized it, just a little bit. I understand his gimmick and I like it ok, he's good with it, but the "oh lord yeah" and "huh" chorus bits - while delightfully understated - don't make up for the singer not putting his mark on it himself somehow. Not good. Bill Ward's drums and Tony Iommi's guitar playing are what made the original and Cake totally oversimplified it and made it dull. The song is meant to make a statement and be dark because war is dark yet these guys made it sound like it was a chore to do. Do as little as possible just to get the song done.

Look at Faith No More to learn how to properly cover this song.
