Well in my case it seems that my lower back is really weak that I can't raise my hips from tuck to advanced tuck planche. Do you recommend an exercise to strenghten my lower back or should I focus on my shoulders as you describe in this tut?
How is this thing called on which you are doing the exercises and where can I get something like this? I find doing the exercises on the floor more difficult.
I cant seem to get past the tuck planche i can hold it for around 15-20 seconds but if i extend one leg i fall, this is on floor not p bars, any suggestions please?
try to master each of the stages so that you can hold the position for 60 secs before moving to the next stage of training. i.e. when you can hold tuck planche for a min in one go without strained breathing try the next step.
Each time you train do as many sets as it takes to reach the 60 secs for whatever position your doing with breaks in between each set, slowly the number of sets it takes to reach 60 secs will drop till you can do it in one. then try the next position
It looks so easy but it is hard as hell, the hardest part is to loose all the fat to help your arms and shoulders, and i am still at 18% fat and feel heavy...
very good and motivating instructions.i do yoga and this is similar to lolasana pose which i am now desperately trying to achieve.i can do if my hands are elevated.slowly working towards just using the floor.getting there slowly but surely.tq
You don't need the stands really. You can use chairs or something anything that gets you into a higher position. More room beneath you makes the movement easier. The less room you can manage, the more control you have. Just be sure that the items that elevate you into a higher level (my example 2 chairs) fall over while doing the exercise.
For those of you who doesn't have stands, but ofc. If you have stands, why not use them...
Im going to give everyone a little warning on this, this exercise is extremely tough on your elbows. If you do not condition your elbows previously through frogstand, strait arm frogstand, advanced frogstand, and planche leans you will get hurt. Please search these terms on youtube, they will help you greatly on your journey to a full planche.
@fre901108 If your stuck that might mean you need to get your shoulders stronger - or do more pullups, dips pushups. I dont really focus on planche I just do calisthenics anв but I practice the tucks. After A while it should come most people take a year or more to learn it
@BaRussian Right now, im doing tucked planche and L-sit, V-sit for shoulders, but i need to begin with pullups too, because i rarely workout my biceps.
SUPER!! Lifting my hips just seemed impossible (maybe because of my long torso..).but I think I could fix my problem and make some progress. A whole bunch of thanks~~
WOW! this is the best planche workout tutorial I have seen on YouTube. I have been trying to work up to a planche for a while and haven't found any solid tips till now. So Thank you.
this is fantastic. i'm glad he talked about how to raise the hips, cos that's something that i've really been struggling with. can't wait for my shoulder to heal so i can get back to it.
ughh im so close... my tucked planche is just about perfect but i need to train some however longer to get an actual planche. thanks for the tips! Hopefully i can get it sooner with this tutorial
Really a great video. I was doing 50 push ups 3 or 4 times a day to build up to try the planche. This gives me so many real exercises to move me towards getting this rather than just more push ups. thanks for showing this once i get one i will upload it.
i made my own, didn't take much, although i just fixed them directly in the floor of my home gym. so all i needed was 2 metal rods and 2 pieces of wood on the top.
an easy alternative is just to buy a couple of pushup stands (you can get them anywhere)
those are what i used beforehand, you can get them real cheap, just make sure their tall enough for you and that their sturdy, i got some that where made of metal, but there are hard plastic ones to, and i'm sure they'll do fine
@KoKoKorean actully it does help on your flares it helps to gain the back strenght n arms strenght, other then that you gotta pratice them n get use to the flares movement. it wount guarantee you a flare but it will get you way closer to them.
@phantomhockeyzero "Planche" comes from French and is pronounced with a soft "ch". His pronunciation is an Americanized version of the real pronunciation, but it is nonetheless the accepted way of saying planche in American English.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I wanted to progress to a planche on rings, would I want to train with my hands positioned such that my fingertips would point towards my feet (as I believe that the hand placement must be this way on the rings)? And is that hand position (just on the ground) harder than if my hands were to being pointing out to my sides? I think so, but I'm curious about your feedback. Thanks a lot! This was a fantastic video that will definitely help me!
What the fuck is wrong with me...i can't balance, but i can keep straight enough to actually stay in shape to do it....What am i doing wrong?
