I own a Type R and while I respect other cars, nothing else that's FWD comes close to the perfect balance of speed and handling. SRT-4 is faster in a straight line. Throw in some curves and that thing's off the road in no time. Nothing even comes close in terms of handling. And for a non-straight line car, the Type R fares pretty well, making mid 14s with a good launch.

I don't own a Scion. I have a Mustang. The Scion is my friend's car. My reaction times range between .034 and .089, but reaction time does not play into 1/4 mile time. I clocked 7.1 0-60 in my friend's tC with both of us in the car. I know a guy that worked for Toyota and tested a 100% stock tC and ran 15.4. He showed me the time slip. My friend runs 15.97 usually.

I want to know how you can claim to run a 0-60 in 7.1 with 2 ppl in the car and when the "pro" driver tested he ran a 7.8 and 15.1 1/4. How can you run a slower 1/4 time and still run a alot better 0-60. The cars are not set up diff. so the times should relfect that. The times you said would mean your friends 1/4 should have been faster than a 15.4 or 15.97. Think about it...My car has stayed with a 5.0 before...for about 3 seconds

First of all, the tC road test that claimed 15.1 also recorded a 6.9 second 0-60, not 7.8. The other road tests claimed 7.4 0-60. I have not seen the test that got 7.8. And yes, it is likely that you have stayed with a 5.0 before, and i'm surpirsed it wasn't longer than 3 seconds. Most 5.0s have over 180,000 miles, are beat up and poorly tuned (even when they look really sharp) and have shitty drivers, or are equipped with automatic transmissions (which are much slower than manuals).

You are correct. I raced a 5.0. but it sounded horrible, like a 4cyl. Then i found out that ford did make some 4cyl mustangs. It got beat by my riced out blue dodge avenger, with a heavy body kit and all. Atleast i had flowmaster exuast system and a decent turbo set up though.
