  • Dear rika I love Judee Sill and you brought tears to my eyes.....enough said......thanks

  • Great version.

  • I just discovered this song, very nice rendition...

  • I applaud her effort -- her voice is excellent. The fact that she performs Judee Sill shows just how far Judee's influence has reached. I can not honestly criticize this on any level because Rika's sincere singing does shine through. I think she understands this song better than some of the more professional Americans who have covered it.

  • @lastrada52 There's a specific Truth in your comment that rings out like a bell: never mind differences in accent and delivery, and annoying guitar twirls and diddle-diddle ending - at the heart of it, she obviously *understands* the song - and it's that understanding she's striving to emote: and she does so a lot better than many, many others who tried, and only butchered it in perfect English. Judee Sill remains the one and the only - but this is a very sensitive and respectful interpretation.

  • Dear Rika,

I love this song, I don't know why but it always brings a tear to my eye.

I play guitar a little bit, if I could do what you have done I would be so proud.

I am 33 with a large music collection but only discovered Judee Sill recently, you keep going Rika don't listen to any negative reviews, you did it proud.

    Best Regards

    Ross

  • Nice voice but you should make a Japanese language version!

  • No - I'm afraid that does not work for me - sorry. Judee is the only person who has really done justice to her song

  • What a beautiful voice.

  • arigato gozaimasu, Shinohara san

    shan desu

  • try the hollies version

  • Rachael Yamagata has also covered this song.

    Great vid. :)

  • really lovely, warm tone

  • I had the distinct pleasure of attending two Judee Sill concerts at the Troubadour in West L.A., and Rika's rendition is very moving, almost like hearing a reincarnation of Judee singing live. Thanks so much for posting this video from an aging idealistic hippie. It would be so fun to jump a time machine and re-visit 1973. -eugene louie
