  • he better should stop talking. It sounds so painful.

  • I love that story about the frog so much

  • Notice how his face brightens before saying, Death. He knows he will die, he has accepted this. He is only still here to teach us, and thank you so much to the great Spirit for allowing this to happen.

When Ram Dass leaves his body, it shall be a great change in my life, and i accept this change, all of it, the emotions it will create in me, the sense of loss, and the lessons taught.

    Om Hreem Namah Shiva

    Eihwaz!

    :lugh:

  • Love you, Baba. By writing Be Here Now you let me know i wasn't crazy as a kid for seeing the world differently than the status quo. Blessings, Dear One. Blessings on your path.

  • Thank you, Baba Ram Dass

  • What a beautiful soul! He has taught me so much! And pointed out so much I needed to be at piece with.

  • His affliction only draws my attention.

  • Where is the story of the frog from? Can someone send me a personal message. I was intrigued by the story.

  • @deathshore I think it's just a witty variation of the old fairy tale of the princess kissing the frog which later turns into a handsome prince. Only in Ram Dass' version, the gender roles are reversed and there is a mock twist ending. Hope this helps!

  • Thank you, Ram Dass,

  • Really brings it home when you watch someone like Ram Dass over many years, sort of like watching the various movie stars, you don't ever expect them to grow old.

This man has been a teacher for so long he is like a teacher version of a movie star.

So what I am actually getting at is that all of a sudden this man is old with an age-affected body bringing to us the perfect lesson in impermanence regardless of what words he uses.

    Inspirational Ram Dass.

  • It is so easy to love Ram Das, thank you

  • @VriakII Simply stated, perfectly.

  • Jai Ram Dass!

  • This dude just smoked a fatty; come on pap's, spit it out I have shit to do today.

  • the last three words were really heartfelt werent they, gosh touching

  • My only Prayer to the Universe is Please let this be my last Journey as i havent the strength to do this again.....What a agonising Life it has Been........

  • Thank you for posting this... Dear dear Ram Dass...

  • I love you Ram Dass!

  • He is one of the tallest tree's in our forest.

  • lucky to see him laughing inbetween :-) he looks so sad in general... and not authentic. i mean: he seems to tell just stories - by hardly remembering remembering every single sentence, each single word, but it seems to come from his HEAD, not from his HEART. and not at all from emptiness or any enlighting. i cannot understand why he still pretends KNOWING anything, this silly sad old man... hey Richard: drink sOMe redwine as you did with Alan Watts and freak out! come on! give me an A !!!

  • if you say so....I'm not really getting that vibe. Is it possible you might not be as good at reading stroke patients as you think you are?

  • please tell me what is a "stroke patient" ? in general i do not want to think that i am good in anything, it just made me little sad to see him (you?) like that! i have respect to rams TRYING to do the very best out of his life, he NEED NOT pretend anything :-)))

  • He had a stroke...blood clot in the brain. Lack of oxygen killed off a fair number of blood cells. As a result, it takes more effort for him to talk and convey ideas...

Pretty sure hes not pretending and pretty sure he does "Know" what he's talking about/around.

  • wow! sorry for my "attck", i did not know THAT and i appreciate/understand NOW much more that he manages so much concentration at all to talk about all the nice things!!! is he still alive???? give him a hug from germany, please!!!! i love Alan Watts, that is my connection to Ram as Richard :-))) So he did what he was able to do! Wow!!! Yeah!!!! ThanxXXL - t...OM

  • @mrkurt13 his teachings are like a joke as he says, if you get it you laugh truly if it has to be explained to you then you don`t laugh as much ;-)))

  • @TomDeToys He's had a stroke for Gods sake, listen to the start again. Yes, listen. To yourself! His stories go deeper than you can see with your mind. He's an enlightened being and a profound spiritual teacher, you're not. "There are none so blind as those who will not see". What did he want you to see that so many couldn't? Find that, and yours will be the earth and everything that is in it. And what's more you'll find yourself. Namaste
  • what do you mean with "enlightened"? i do not have such a theory, i am just a human tgrying to understand how life works :-) but thanx for your friendly advice...

  • @TomDeToys

Enlightenment isn't a theory, it's a state realised when the "I" behind the mind is known and all cognitive processes are completely subordinated to the will of the spirit.

it is the end of all suffering for the self.

  • and by the way: i see you like Alan Watts and you are asocalled psycho-therapist. THIS is really funny, this is an even better joke than ram dass! Watts was also against elitary esoteric arrogance, and when richard alpert and he once has a nice drunk evening, Ram Dass was told important things by Watts about HIS "pretending" being a holy for everybody :-) Dear Smudge, you should be really really very very angry about Watts having no respect for this aggressive enlightning game ;-)))

  • "but it seems to come from his HEAD, not from his HEART"

well, if you are unsure and if you need to use the preposition "seems", I would contend that you are probably perceiving this spoken satsang through your own head without really being able to tell from your own heart whether or not it is coming from his own. I also don't understand the argument against having an experience drinking wine, are you saying that this somehow invalidates his entire life and personal message? Please explain

  • sorry man, maybe my wrong english as i am german. i love redwine myself!!! but it is relly ridicule to call THIS a "satsang" - stop all that superserious bullshit and FEEL life, it is so easy and no surrogates!!!! CHEERS !!!!

  • lol ok I understand you better now, and I do agree with you as well. It really is more of a brief discourse than a satsang, but still, why wouldn't some people be genuinely helped by this talk? That is my question.

Yes, I generally agree with no surrogates, but I also think that Ram Dass agrees with that as well.

All I can say is that whenever I am going through very troubled times in my life, someone like Ram Dass can help me move through it a little easier.

  • seriously: "help me move through it a little easier." is so beautiful how you say this. THAT'S IT i guess: doesn't matter who or what, it is always in trouble times SOMETHING anything, sometimes totally unexpected, WHAT or WHO can help, sometimes even "stupid" and very "normal" things we never tried before like just sitting around somewhere in the middle of traffic and listening the sound of the birds hardly to hear because of traffic jam sound, but THEN

  • THEN we catch that birds sound suddenly like a cosmic harmony and we get goose-skin and loose a little tear drop and feel and know it again: HERE IT IS: THE CENTER OF UNIVERSE: DIRECTLY THRU THE NERVES... what i mean: i agree to you: satsang HAPPENS whenever we NEED to sit for the big song - satsang sitsong - sogong :-))) and as i repeated already in many of my cOMments: i respect richard alpert for his HONEST SOUL SELF-RESEARCH indeed! he is an important example to show how difficult it can be!

  • thank you for that...

  • what he says the last several seconds is right on

  • I wish for you beautiful light. you are just a collective illusion of f'n time

  • fastronauts multiply as the quickening accellerates and mutations appear in the form of things like fntime. nihilistique

  • I have come across some very ignorant people on here... but you top the list.

  • lol

  • Embrace change. What would our lives be like if we could always do this?

    May all beings embrace change.

  • I love you Ram Dass! Thank you for everything!

  • Beautiful man, beautiful soul.

    I love this man...

  • fntime your awful man, Ram Dass has had a stroke and his love for humanity and God aswell as his brilliance continues to shine through, where is your compassion!

  • I didnt ask you to have compassion for me, I asked you to have for Ram Dass and frankly people here could care less what you think, go bother someone who gives a damn!

  • not as fraud as that ass your cunt mom sold to me last night...i nutted and dipped nigga shut the fuck up faggot..ram dass is a good guy..to bad i couldnt say that about you or your mother.

  • oh my god ram dass, "death," keep it under wraps! :P

  • Ram Dass I am learning to imbrace my change, but yes major change. Wow what trip it will be.
