I remember my parents taped this when I was a tot, and this was my favorite part. I've kind of always had this song stuck at the back of my mind. I tell ya, though, after 20+ years of not seeing the Mother Goose special, I didn't honestly remember how badass this song really is...
About 3 years ago, this song weaseled it's way back into my consciousness. I find myself humming this song to myself at least once a month while I'm working. I find it amazing how accurately I remembered it. It has been nearly 20 years.
hi i really really like this song but i have no idea who sings it :{ people are saying the dank and gordon? can you please tell me who it really is by? <3 thank you
I often wondered just how to get a copy of this tune. I remember The Dank, and I remember most of the members of it. I wonder if the band Mucky pup is similar to these guys? (Mucky Pup was featured in 'Outland', as doing 2 songs for "Billy & the Boingers".)
OK, I was 22 when this movie came out, hardly a little kid, but I still loved it for its humorous references, and the star-studded cast (including a certain Debbie H., always a musical shero of mine) and the music was excellent! This scene was a standout.
Dude, I'm 22 NOW, and I used to watch this movie as a very young child. I just recently watched it again, and while some moments stuck out, this one was still amazing to me. I fucking love that band and I wish I could live my whole life like they do in these two short minutes.
Randy Jackson was famous for playing bass guitar before American Idol. He is listed in the credits as having a special guest appearence in this film. I'm going to guess that is him playing bass in this clip.
GORDON! Never really learned to play! Ooo-ee-Ooo! Always been a stick in the mud! GORDON! Now we gonna show you the way! Ooo-ee-Ooo! Why you wanna be a dud!
I think anyone who remembers this movie sings at least this one song and the ones who talk about us are the ones that probably ashamed of theirself....probably cause their gay! This song still kick ass!
I loved this song and this movie!! I remember watching it when I was a kid and sometimes find myself singing parts of this one to myself. Thanks for posting!
Brings back so many childhood memories that I thought me and my siblings shared. I had always thought this movie was made only for us, but I am so thrilled to see so many people experienced it the same way! I can die now...
I've had this stuck in my head for at least a decade and a half...it's a crime that this is the first time I've heard this song since the early 90's...I want an mp3 or something of this really bad :(
thats what i thought but i dont think anyone in kiss is black i think these guys are just session players who did the song or maybe just crew who wanted to be in the flick

I think the lead guitarist might be Dweezil Zappa. He did play like that before he started playing more like Frank.
I love that movie.

Who plays this?
The credits say it's The Dank, but when I search it, it comes up with other stuff.
princessxofxpoop 4 years ago
It was created by Dan Gilroy (gordon), and randy jackson (the bassist in The Dank), and some other person
But I don't know who is playing the band, except for Randy.
Bludspyre 4 years ago
One of the band members is Warren DeMartini from Ratt.

I think Dweezil Zappa is in the band too since he is another person listed in the credits. Can anyone confirm this?

Dweezel Zappa, I believe, is in the King's Court with the bright blue hair.
