However avitus looks to be real traitor :) As in retribution (Spoil) Tarkus says the traitor was hes old old friend and a battlebrother thus onlyone that fits that description is Avitus : < and as THQ stated that 1 turning chaos is canon storyline so its avitus : <

Well after today it has been confirmed by Relic that Apollo didn't die in Chaos Rising as he is officially the new leader of the Space Marine forces in the Retribution single player also likely hinting that Tarkus convincing Diomedes of the corruption around him is the cannon one in the Chaos Rising cannon story.
