Hey no worries, ogredanhibiki, I wasn't able to solve Fly-Mo either for a while at first!
I was so desperate at one point that I asked around, on sites like Gamefaqs, hoping that someone would know how to beat him.
However, no one came forward, so I remained persistent and eventually figured it out on my own, when noticing that the power punches carry on to the next rounds during this fight.
Anyway, I am positive that you could beat Fly-Mo now :).
Wow, you're awesome, I used to play this game a lot when I was kid, but I wasn't so good although I beat the game, but never could defeat the last guy in the first round :-D

Fly-Mo is indeed tough to put away in the first round. I could never do it consistently, because of the game's poor hit detection, which also makes it very difficult to put away Alpha Bonehead in the opening round.
It's hard to tell when a body jab connects, that's why I nearly screwed up during this speed run and just barely won at the buzzer lol.
Man could you please help me? I just go this game and I can't even get past the first guy. Like how do you take all their power in one hit like that? And how do you do the training so perfect? I need to know everything, I can't find a site on the net that tells anything about it. When I played this as a kid I could get to the second tank guy. PLEASE SHOW A BEGINNER THE WAY! I WANT TO LEARN AT THE FEET OF A MASTER!!!

Yeah, the training ships are pretty awkward at first, Internetgangstakilla, so it could be that you're pressing the wrong buttons.
Whenever the pink pad flashes, you have to press B along with the appropriate direction key, depending on the pad's location.
To hit the red one, press A with the appropriate direction key, hope this helps!

I've never actually beaten fly-mo. He was the only person I had trouble with. I could never figure out what his weakness was...

With a lot of practice, Thepaddster! Being a big time fan of Mike's also helped :).
People tend to do their best when they are inspired and this speed run is a good example of this.

This game was very frustrating to speed through with nothing but first round victories, but I just would not give up until I realized my goal.
Power Punch II needed to take a serious beating for a change and fortunately it all worked out in the end as planned.
