This movie looks to be just as good as the rest of their movies.
i don't think tales from earthsea was that bad. it was no hayao miyazaki movie, but i still watched it 3 times (my average for hayao is 12). i haven't yet seen arrietty. i DO really like the cat returns. they set it up so well in whisper of the heart. does anyone know if there's a place i could read the 2 volume manga for this movie? i'm starting to enjoy the more "real life" movies from ghibli. one last question: how many times has joe hisaishi composed vs satoshi takebe for ghibli?
@katarinaricke Joe Hisaishi composed way more music for Ghibli, i love all his songs. I know how to play "The Sixth Station" & "One Summer's" from Spirited Away.
@xionxiox Tale From Earthsea wasn't that bad, sure the plot was kinda weird, and the lack of dialogue makes hard to understand the characters' background, but other than the movie was fair.
is there also comming a translated version into german?

I watched the movie in Tokyo last week, and it was great!
After a string of more fantasy-themed movies, I forgot how well Ghibli did these coming-of-age sort of drama movies..
Hope they will show it in other countries too.
Btw, bought the soundtrack as well because I love the music as well
