MH look like PSO-like game and this kind of gaming (quest&co) is boring IMO. Plus, why all the game is centred on a stupid old women that give you quest??? This is so dumb!
right, have you played this game? cause it ain't about an old ady giving you quests, its about hunting the many unique monsters. if you don't play it, then how can you hate it?
I've played MH1 about 5 hours and MHU 20 hours. And yes, the game is based on a old women that give you quests. Well i prefer games that have much more scenario and I don't like MMORPG and minigames.
Hunting monsters may be fun, but not in a PSO-like game. I prefer when you can explore lot of towns and worlds without having to comeback in the same town when your quest is done.
I think that this game was not made for single mode but it don't have infrastructure and none of my friends have psp.
Just too point out, there is sort of a story if you check the quest info. And you gotta admit, it makes more sense as well as enhances the fun when you actually need to work for your kills instead of holding x until thing dies.

It sounds like Pokemon but you kill the monsters rather than capturing them forcing them into fighting without payment and spending your life playing.
actau1ay, you can capture them with tranque bombs, but god ony knows what happens after that. and a1so, with pokemon the ony thing cose to pikachu, is the khezu which is ug1ier than 50 year frogs
Also if you have a PS3 u can play online with AdHoc Party. U need to download the AdHoc Party from the japanese store. There are some vio tutorials here in youtube that tells how you do it.
