blackmatch is consisted of black powder, a binder, and cotton or natural fiber string. black powder can be ignited with a spark. there has been some class b fireworks manufacturers that have burned down becuase of static sparks. some even choose to wear latex gloves to risist static sparks. but it just seems it didnt in your test, but it is a good observation.
It would be nice to setup a demonstration showing a static electricity discharge igniting an ematch. I've never personally seen it, but know of someone who did (he was wearing a nylon windbreaker while dropping shells... BOOM).
Personally, I won't use scissors, but know people who do. I believe they all use stainless steel though. I have seen lots of cakes transported after being matched. This video shows why that practice is the number one cause of unintentional ignition.
great vid, but i know there have been cases in the past of scissors setting off QM without an e-match inside. even if the cases had never been reported, you can agree that metal surfaces bypassing each other can create a spark unless they are non-sparking (brass, bronze). so then it is an unnecessary risk right? you might have to cut that QM a million times before it goes off, but that one time might be the time you have your face over a 6.
love part2,hey the "cheep e-fuse"didn´t go of very easy when hiting it,is that like better to have, ofc it´s best to have stabil stuffs but i mean will it fire proper during a show like the green would?then you pick the blue.1theyr cheep, and the green ones not for sale more?2they safe and still reliable?well id pick the blue one^^not bcs im using any of them but someday I may will xD thanks for the video hope you can get in to more shows bcs its great to see there is always new things see:)

With it pointing right at the camera, at 2:02, when the shot rang out, I jumped, lol.

The cheap ematch could have been using the Nichrome method rather than the Pyrogen method. Which would explain why it couldn't be ignited on impact.
