I swear this is the saddest of the 3 movies. Spidey almost died, Harry became evil, he and Pete made up then Harry died, oh, and Pete didn't marry Mary Jane. Must've been 11 yrs yet I still cried at the end, but I hid it from my parents ;)

It really should be too soon for a reboot, but after this mess I can see why it's necessary for the franchise. It's a shame too, because 1 and 2 were just about perfect--many people considered Spiderman 2 the best superhero movie ever. They just tried to cram too much in this one, and didn't do either villain justice. Both Sandman and Venom deserved more screen presence than they got here.

It sucks that they dropped the fourth film and remaking the whole thing with different actors, have you heard of that?

I Heard. Back in '02, during Spider-Man premiered, Sam (Raimi), Tobey (Maguire), Kirsten (Dunst) & James (Franco) had been under contract to do a second & a third film but not a fourth. Plus, you should know that Tobey is now 34 & overpass the age range of Peter Parker (if he would continue to reprise his role) which is 15-20 years old. So now that Sony is rebooting a new Spider-Man film with a brand new cast & crew maybe the way to go.
