  • thank you

  • @prince38395; VW isn't the first car to have the rollover pop-up bars. Volvo and I believe Mercedes have them too.

  • the 2006-present Volkswagen Eos is assembled in

    Palmela, Portugal

  • 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible the best!

    eos poor!

  • @NIKALE74 Chrysler sucks donkey balls

  • @NIKALE74 What sane person would ever buy a Chrysler? One of if not the shittiest car company in the world.

  • Its good but not great they could have made it a 5 start safety rating not 4... Still a pretty good car to drive (for a convertable)

  • his head still hits the steering wheel, so why the airbag..

  • my god, your head is ripped apart if u crash :O NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • Just like the Pontiac G6. The car absorbed impact and did not crush the driver. That's how it's supposed to be.

  • Convertibles are historically less rigid structurally compared with coupes or sedans. Good for folks who like the wind in their hair. I would not recommend for hauling the kinder though. Thanks for posting!

  • what is that thing that pop up on the rear sit? and did this car do well on this crash test?

  • Becusz it is a convertible it needs added protection in case there is an impending roll over that is what those bars are there for to substitute when the roof is folded down...car got good marks in both frontal and side impacts

  • That "thing" that popped out of the rear seats are to protect any rear passengers in case of roll over. They are hydrolic/spring controlled locking roll bars. Great Idea VW!

  • It is for front and rear passengers

  • @prince38395 It`s not a VW idea. My BMW e36 series convertible had that system in 1998 and BMW had used it before. I`m pretty sure someone from Germany must have invented it anyway ;) (just kidding)

  • theyre like antiroll bars. so incase it rolls over, it wont make you look like a bloody accident.

  • @NiceCar2008 they are these bars just in case the car rolls those are suppose to safe ur head!!

  • ALL OF YOU WHO COMMENTED AND SAID THIS CAR PERFORMED BAD YOU ARE STUPID. THE structure had little intrusion and injury mesures were low this recieved the highest rating. BETTER THAN SEBERING. ITS GERMAN!

  • exactly

  • i think i love you... finaly someone who understands german engeneering

  • well done, german work

  • @kaschil But made in Portugal

  • @steva30

    but construed in germany ;P

  • WOW, this is not so cool~~

  • i had an accident today with my brothers brand nw eos

  • did yo made it with out broken bone

i bite yo did its a vw

  • :( that sucks. hope you're all right

  • the driver's head barley hit the airbag.

  • hmmm, this sucks, the Chrysler Sebring did so much better

  • agreed. have you seen the G6? wow, thats even worse. even for a eouropean sourced gm car, it is wayy worse than this car.

  • seat belt is virtually not existent. Does not work at all!

  • seat belts are made to restrain the legs and keep the passenger/driver in the vehicle.

  • that sucks - it folded up just like the G6

  • Safe happened

  • what is the speed?

  • 40 m.p.h or 64 k.p.h
