I fondly remember the slutty sorceress Hecubah, and Nox being a nice 'distraction' hack and slash game because Diablo 2's release date kept getting pushed back.

Year 2000, it's amazing how 12 years have passed just like that.

Your English is actually quite good; no need for you to apologize. :) Nox was really well done, but released a little too close to D2 for it to get the attention it deserved. Maybe one day EA will scratch this up from the bottom of the barrel and give it a proper modern reinvention.

Nox was an awesome and very underrated game. I was so addicted to Nox multiplayer, and this was back when I was still using a 56K modem and I had to fight my sister for the phone line. Good times :)

Unfortunately Nox got totally eclipsed by Diablo 2, which was released soon after. Westwood probably thought they could compete with Blizzard, but the Diablo 2 hype was just too strong.

This was one of the first games I played online and I loved it.  The best parts for me were coming up with inventive ways to kill people with wizard traps and the guild v. guild combat. Why hasnt there been a sequel yet??

@VsionEffectable well if you play it for your first time it can take a few days to complete with one character. I'd say roughly about 20 hours total with one character (and there are 3 of them and the gameplay is wildly different with each so I suggest trying them all). But since I've played it so many times I can finish it in 8-10 hours without straining myself. The thing is that the action is fast paced and the emphasis is on action rather than character development. This makes it very fun.

Nox is one of the best action RPG's ever made. It is level on diablo 2 and superior to most others because of its humour, excellent story, and most important: simplicity where its needed and brilliant concept and art style.

If I could choose between Nox and Diablo 2... get Nox, its free, its good, its not overburdened and stretched out.

I never got to the third act in diablo 2, simply because I GOT BORED. on the other hand, I finished Nox without a problem.

@DuskStar101 YOU CAN play multiplayer, as long as you know someone else who wants to play. The westwood servers are down, but there's a program called GameRanger. It's free, and it acts like a server. There's plenty of other games people play on it too, but the Nox Multiplayer is SO MUCH FREAKING FUN. give it a shot. It's great. I promise. lol
