Bloody beautiful that's crowd participation right there ! A haunting tune . The live aid performance is one of my best . This song stays with me forever . He was a very talented man . ! Bless the eighties
Only one issue. Who ever did the video editing for the DVD needs to cool it. Just show us Howard playing the keys. Screw that smoke on the big screen crap. We wanna see Howard doing his thing.
Always did and always will love this song .. and Howard himself. Sadly under-rated and slated by the British music press for no other reason than they could. Great artist, great song writer, great performer xx howard xx
for anyone who programs and uses old analog synth and drum equipment, this is pretty amazing. drums on roland 808, 2 prodigy's, juno 60 and of course howards fav jupiter 8. all howard. quite a feat back in the 80's. music production is so much easier now with computers. this performance and the others on this disc took some talent. just awesome
@newms55 Truly it is. If i may add, this setup allows more creativity. Everything is for its own, every device has its dedicated function. That's why i love using this sort of equipment more instead of a "all in one" solution. Of course his equipment is pretty expensive, now and then, and glitchy But that promotes creativity.
@ATVmidlands5581 I saw him a couple of years ago. With Go West and ABC. Brilliant and amazing night...... Brought everything back from being a teenager girlie again......
This album inspired me to learn how to play the keyboard and program synths. I'm a nobody musically, but what a great release it is to come home from a stress filled day at work and play this whole album now. Now with soft synths. it's no stress to set up the keys and just play. Human's Lib is still in my top three albums of all time. What a masterpiece!!

i saw howard joned live way back when he was famous he was good live,
also saw human league, they were ok, phil oakey did;nt quite cut it live, but as a performer myself i appreciate there may have been monitoing problems, i dont think phil could hear himself on stage, all round good memories,
this remains one of my favourite songs. Just bought tickets for his accoustic concert in the United Kingdom. Looking forward to it in Sept. Thanks for posting.
hope you find in everything and everything that you see,,lovely,,hi from dublin..thanks for putting this on,, but the downside is he doesnt get the appreciation he deserves,,we all listen on you tube..bitter sweet,,like me now.wont buy it now..good songs like this.thanks all the same..you know what i mean
Living in Australia in 2009 meant i was able to pick up this DVD for under $2, as Howard Jones - the British icon from the 80's - was obviously unheard of. The cheapest DVD I ever purchased still remains the greatest - go figure. But I do agree with vresi - less of the visuals and more of HJ would've been better. This is without doubt my fab HJ song and if you haven't done so already - watch the Live Aid version: FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC.
hope you find it,........
Howard is a great artist ,marvellous

A highly under rated musician. This was a class tune which most people at Live Aid loved. Can't be too bad. Very talented man.
