thanks for the info everyone... all correct. Late 1972 did have a disc up front... I have another one. Tank is 1970... correct would be the green one...
To answer a few questions:
Bags sold with the bike and extra tank and sides... great deal.
There is every single part for these bikes still available.... many NOS.
Check out my new listed cb350 café racer project bike now on ebay... see other videos. thanks,
Seriously sweet bike; I'm interested in starting to ride and this is precisely the kind of bike I'd like to have--I'm kinda partial to Honda for some reason. So are these still good, reliable everyday bikes or are they more collector's items nowadays, re: parts, repair, and such? I'd want something that's cheap to buy, easy to fix and find parts for, and safe to ride. I have faith in Honda quality, but these things are older than I am, after all. I'd love to have an old CB.
@moogyboy6 if you maintain them, these are dead reliable bikes.
if you want them to be even more reliable, throw in a new electric ignition and a new set of carbs (originals had some tuning issues) and your set. very little to go wrong on these bikes.
350s are great, BUT...the timing chain cam roller has a life expectancy of only 25000 miles. If you buy a used 350, assume the engine will need a teardown at 25000 miles! There is NOTHING you can do to extend the roller's life. FYI, that bike in the video is a 1973 supersport 350 with a replaced tank off a '70.

my dad bought one used in the late 80s,
its been sitting in the garage ever since.
he lost the title and its seized up.
im 17 and hes to pussy to hand me the key even though ive had more 2 wheel experience than he`ll ever have.

I had '71. yes it had both kick and electric start. This one sounds rough, a tappet adjustment would be a start.

Pretty random question, but how tall are you? I'm 5'5 and really interested in one of these bikes. I'm just wondering how tall they are.
Imadit12 7 months ago
@Imadit12 they arent very big i have one. im 6'2 and its a bit small so you should fit it pretty well

@DAB0690 if you actually have a good runner to ride, it won't really matter.

This can't be a 1972...72 did not have front disc brakes. Unless you changed them.
theconquerors 2 years ago
@theconquerors
actually they did have front disc in the front back in 72. my cb450 has the disc fronts and it's also a 72, and mines all stock.
hotrod347 2 years ago
@theconquerors its a 73g, but titled as a 72. bikes back then were titled by the year sold, not the year they were built.
my 71 is titled as a 72, the year it was sold.
if this 73 was in the us in late 72, and sold then, then its title says 1972 on it
