  • I loved this show as a kid awesome

  • As a kid, whenever I went to Eaton's Centre/Simpsons, I would always look for the Today's Special area. I could never find it, no matter which floor I was on :(

  • How many kids would have been watching Today's Special at that hour? Their parents would've been watching World Beat News.

  • "tues to thurs at half past six" so classic....i loved tvo

  • That promo has got to be older than 1985, since there aren't any clips from episodes beyond 1982. Outside the opening credits, the episodes represented are Family, Games, Shoes, Opera, and Music.

  • @schuminweb

And any T.S. lover and die hard fan will know that too Ben!!!

  • Where's the mouse that lived in the wall? I frigging loved his pad!

  • That's John DeLazzer, a class act and I'm proud to say, a friend of mine!

  • I can't find the episode with the termite called "Wood". That's the one I remember liking. Oh and one where Jeff was a Chef.

  • @doowoppingchainsawer

The one where Jeff was a chef is "Food".

  • I actually remember this promo. The rhyming narrator.

  • Anyone notice the announcer rhymed perfectly?? He must have taken lessons from Muffy!

  • That was when me mom was 14 years old

  • Ah, "Today's Special": The show that put TVOntario on the map!

  • I'd have to say that it was Readalong that made TVO a household name.

  • That is the ultimate announcer. He makes one want to watch!
