William Smith was the best actor in the role of sadistic and cowardly, after Jack Palance. Too bad it was not recognized enough for the film. Although insignificant roles in most films, and his talent surpassed the expectable performance.
William Smith scares the crap out of me now, and when I was a kid. He is hands down the toughest guy ever on screen. I love his movies and the characters he played. He never got the credit he deserved. He will always be my favorite tough guy and villian.
Without the Charles Estep & Falconetti storylines, Book II wouldn't have been very interesting. The ongoing storyline with that country music singer is boring.
I remember when I was young and watched it on television.Big Bill has a great physique and karisma too.I will always remember him from poor man, rich man.Even when he smiles you can se something in his eyes,a secret or something like that.Great man with great physique and karisma. My no.1 bad guy favorite,in western movies my no.1 was Lee Van Cleef. That where the days.
@bgibb101 smith said he was an interogator in the army and he played a german interogator in combat a guy from iran asked me if rich man poor man was popular here he said it was big in iran i said it was big here he said everything was americanized they should have never let the shah of iran fall

He was the only guy mean enough to shoot Kitty on "Gunsmoke".

I loved that scene in the pilot episode of "The Rockford Files", where James Garner gets the better of him.

that really was good shooting, as all fair ground rifles have warped barrels making it hard to hit 4 bulleyes in a row
