  • It's rather fuuny how they made this all epic. >.<

  • It sad what people make animals endure to boost business. What's wrong with replacing horse-drawn carriages with tour buses?

  • The people who run these business operate because they need to make a living. They care and love their horses to death. I have spoken to many men who run these businesses out in Boston and New York. They don't abuse their horses by working them. Horses enjoy working.

I have to agree with everyone else who stated that the horses do not freeze, how ever I disagree with that they do not get cold because they are like giant dogs and do need some sort of jacket covering their necks and

  • chest and their back-mainly in the winter time. How ever they are not being abused or neglected. These horses enjoy their work and the attention they get from people.

and for crying out loud like everyone else stated do your damn research about horses. Peta people make me sick. they go overboard and exaggerate every damn thing they see.

  • One word MONEY

  • Imagine if that was your horse..</3

  • @stopliesseetruth if you are stating the carriage company you are with is better cared for then you would not mind me taking a visit or photos of your establishment? Its just when I saw how bad the Phila Carriage cois I am under the assumption most carriage co's in the city are in the same boat. I would not mind getting to see how much better NYC carriage rides/stalls are....

  • @StopLiesSeeTruth I am not speaking for New York but Pa. I am not a liar and an investigation is being done by the pspca and L&I on the Philadelpia Carriage Co. Your behavior/ responces just how how ignorant and rude you are, sad to see someone like that who is involved with horse.

  • @jediknightkass44 shows* _how) The fact I am even responding to this even boggles my mind I shouldn't care, but I just want people to be aware that if carriage rides can't be done correctly then they shouldn't be done at all.

  • Ban the taxis you moron! The horse did not jump on the taxi now did it!

  • its a fucking peta vid fuck you guys go get lifes i love those things,i eat meat,i have pets i never saw ahorse abuse so fuck u you vegan pussy assholes

  • I used to believe that carriage rides were good to have in the city and fun for people. I learned due to being hired by a carriage company that this is not true. Horses and cars don't belong. I quit the company after my second day due to the horrible conditions the horses were in. Not to mention the staff lacked knowledge on how to properly groom and care for a horse. It was really bad and I don't have enough text to type it all. I will say the carriage rides in the city need to end.

  • @jediknightkass44 What an outright liar you are, you never worked in my business, it's statements like this that City Council saw through after hearings and inspections concerning our business and then GAVE US A RAISE!! Why would they do that if what you say is true??

Answer: You're a liar. Keep it up. Read my comment to short ass above.

  • not every horse dreawn carriage is abuse its like the horse industry it self it will always have abuse insted of banning it get rid of the abusers or rideing horses full stop will be banned

  • Awesome compilation of random dead horse photos, and an a Starbucks cup.. what really saddens me is the amount of people focusing their time on this issue when all of their effort could go towards something needed, like dog fighting or something. Shouldn't they people be on a flight to Philly?

  • @cjay75217

It's the old don't pay attention to our crimes, look at what he's doing. But that won't work. The fact of the matter is the focus here is horse abuse despite your trying to change the subject

  • @RadioReporter01 , I agree the focus is on horse abuse, I'm pointing out how stupid that is because this is not abuse.... and I like you comparing driving a horse carriage to crime.. it's called propaganda...

  • @cjay75217

This isn't abuse? And you live here so you've studied it up close?

I think you should put down the pipe, it's affecting your judgement

  • @RadioReporter01 .. no I live in Texas where horses are having to be put down do to neglect from people who can't afford to feed them.......but I can see the value in standing in the streets harassing people that are making an HONEST living with horses that are well taken care of.... it's very productive...

  • @cjay75217 The problem is I can't speak for NY, but when I applied to a carriage company in Philly the horses are not taken care of. Staff has lack of knowledge on horse care and are only taught how to drive a carriage. I have reported this carriage company to the pspca, but I feel that most carriage companies are like this and cities like Philly and NY don't need them.

  • @jediknightkass44 THEN DON'T SPEAK FOR NEW YORK, SHUT THE FCUK UP.

  • @RadioReporter01 HEY ASSWIPE !! CAN YOU SAY "VINDICATION"???

Are you still on welfare? You do know that we got a raise?

You petards poured on the lies sooooo thick at the hearings that no one in their right mind could possibly belive it !! The best part was when your buddy ROXY was removed for an insane outburst, it was CLASSIC petaRD!!

What a bunch of looney losers you all are.

Anyway continue having a lousy, lonley, somewhat crazy broke-assed life.

I'll be waiting for your MORONIC reply

  • @cjay75217 Dont bother with this retard, he's a twisted lonley antagonist, he gets off on pulling peoples chains. I'll send you a vid I made of acting like the tool he is

  • Re the accident photos, it would help if you posted the locations. Odd that you forgot to mention that the horse was ok (most don't read the sidebar). Re the topic of this vid, the cabbie should be charged with animal abuse, fined & made to replace that carriage. Also suggest placing picketers at all cab stands, charging them with horse abuse & demanding that all cabs be banned until the drivers learn how to see something as big as a horse carriage. ;-)

  • Have you EVER DRIVEN with a Cab driver in NEW YORK??? THEY were at fault.. The Horse had nothing to do with the accident and more then likely not the driver.. The PEOPLE driving the cabs are insane and the only pedal that they know is the gas.. Who is to blame for 99% of carriage accidents it is the Vehicle driver not the carriage driver or horse...PETA THINK ABOUT IT>> TAKE THE CELL AWAY AND IT WILL STOP!!!!!!!!!!! STOP SHOWING PICTURES OF THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN THE 70'S..

  • @noodlestudio69

    Riiiiight....

  • hey why dont all you people that are trying to ban horse drawn carriages go after the stupid idiots that cant watch where they are going. i bet those carriages where in the right in most of those accidents and it was the cars fault.... stop attacking the horses. they are out there doing their job just like the rest of us in this world.

  • @horsechik1988 Who care who fault it is. If horses were not there these 'accidents' and horses dying wouldn't be taking place. Sucking up a cars fumes is harmful to a horses health and the carriages just clog up a city that is already clogged up.

No one is attacking the horses, just the opposite, free them from the carriage industry, now.

  • Looks like the cab driver...

    *Puts on sunglasses*

    HAD A MISCARRIAGE.

  • looks to me like the taxi ran into the carrage so there for its the taxis fault

  • what's the music in the background?

  • WHY HASN'T NY BANNED HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGE WHEN LONDON and PARIS ALREADY HAVE? IS IT THAT HERE IN AMERICA PEOPLE FOR SOME REASON CAN BE CRUELER THAT IN OTHER PLACES? MORE INDIFFERENT? THE ANSWER IS GREED LIKE MANY OTHER THINGS WE DO AGAINST ANIMALS WE CANNOT CHANGE LOVE FOR GREED. FREEDOM TO ANIMALS YET WE ARE CALL THE LAND OF THE FREE SOME MIGHT SAME YES FREE BUT FOR THE PEOPLE NOT THE ANIMALS, YES BUT ARE WE REALLY FREE WHEN REGARDLESS OF WHAT WE EXPRESS PEOPLE DON'T CHANGE A THING STOp cruelty

  • A simple google search shows that both Paris and London have horse drawn carriages. Do your own research before eating the Peta pudding.

  • How many big cities in America have horse drawn carriages?

  • ALL of them.

  • It just occurred to me that Bloomberg's daughter is an equestrian. She competes in hunter/jumpers. How can she love horses and not have some influence (or care enough) on her father to ban the carriages???

  • I'd pay a carriage guy to just there on the side of the park just to give the poor horses a break. Horses don't belong in New York City. And they especially don't belong in the disgusting living conditions that they do, just to have some tourist giggle about how they "got to ride in one of the central park carriages". Puke. Get the horses out of New York City!!!

  • thats cause we got some crazy mf cab drivers here in ny...but anyways we really should ban horse drawn carriages for the sake of the animals

  • We should ban the horses, and cab drivers should get uniforms and some class and take driving lessons. The cars are ugly and the driving is horrendous.

  • Horrifying and those abusive drivers continue to pick up rides during the accident. It is all about money and not about the horses.

  • It's painfully obvious that it's about the money! What is wrong with these people?

  • Thank you for posting. The only horses that should be allowed on city streets are police horses. That's it.

And, speaking of horses on today's roadways, the Amish & Mennonites should have their horses taken away too! Those poor horses suffer terribly at their hands.

  • The Petitions are for banning horse drawn carriages in NYC. Why bring the Amish and Mennonites into the argument? I prefer horses to run free, too, but these groups do not abuse their horses, and it is unfair to target them for no reason.

  • Opelske, obviously you've never been to an Amish or Mennonite auction. The beatings and abuse that the animals suffer there is awful. They take ex Standardbred racehorses and then run them into the ground like we would do with an old car.

I've seen images of these people kicking and beating horses with whips on the face and body.

Look up the New Holland auction online. There will probably be more links from that to other web sites highlighting what goes on at other auctions.

  • @andalvin1962

You do realize that most of the crap you are spewing is being fed to you by politicians who want to run the Amish out of Pennsylvania and New York because they can't shake much tax money out of them. The corporate animal rights movement (PETA, HSUS and their local lackeys) are one of the greatest frauds ever perpetuated, and they have no short supply of fools who will empty their wallets to make themselves feel good.

  • We dont ABusE our horses either, stop believing the lies! WHERE is the abuse?!!!! Accidents are not abuse. Hundreds of people are killed by cars every yr! 3 equine fatalities in 25 yrs is not abuse!

  • Don't believe anything this clown says.

You can see Mr Frank Rodden here at 38 minutes into "Blinders" pulling on a mask for an assault after the camera sees his face.

If you believe anything he says, I have a bridge for you (no horses allowed!)

  • There are many petitions against carriage riding in NYC. Is tourism more important than safety? Why not limit it to Central Park where there are no cars?

  • It wouldn't matter if they only drove in the park. The stables are located almost 30 blocks away and when they are done for the day, the drivers bring the carriages through the busy streets on the way home. I live on 9th ave. and hear them everyday from 12am-2:30am (long day!). It's totally depressing...

  • I didn't know that. It sure is depressing. They are such a beautiful animal and deserve better treatment.

  • Yeah if you listen to that Stop Lies clown, you'd think he made room in his bed for them and massaged them to sleep.

The truth is they go from horse hell back to horse jail.

You can see Stop Lies AKA Mr Frank Rodden at 38 minutes into "Blinders" pulling his mask on for an assault after the camera sees his face. Totally stupid, who does that anyway?

Would you believe anything this fool has to say?

  • @RadioReporter01

Damn RR, you love a good does of lies with your B.S., don't you.

  • @hellsunicorn

    " good does of lies"

What is that? Can you translate that into English for those of us that don't speak moron.

And tell us what you were speaking of?

  • @hellsunicorn

There's suddenly a rash of douchebag comments such as yours. Must be the hot season in Honduras and the asshole is back getting his puppets to talk shit on YT again.

    Can't think for yourself sparky?

  • Funny to watch them change lanes in the 9th Avenue tunnel traffic without rear view mirrors or turn signals.

And they risk an accident numerous times a day with the illegal u turns they make on CPW to get back in line.

One of these brain surgeons tried to tell me that was legal. Just because the cops are ordered not to do anything by the mayor, doesn't make it legal

  • This is so terrible :S Thank God this isn't allowed in my country. I personally think just bringing a horse into a town such as New York or London is inhumane, they need peace and quiet and a lot of space only a farm can offer, not a noisy, dirty city with all those "accidents". This should be fully illegal! >:(

  • i actually signed a petition for this.

  • Thank you Donny for taking up this cause. The truth about this cruel industry needs to be told. Bloomberg needs to go.. A mayor who hires/backs the ilk of a Charlene Pedrolie to run ACC has no clue about compassion for animals. Shame on him. He only cares about the almighty dollar. I can't wait for the day these horses are off the streets for good and asshats like Michaeleen Flynn are on the unemployment line.

  • this is so sad to see something happen like this.

  • HMM. i think cars should be banned from NYC . well lets see probably before any of you people were born there were horse and carriages of some sort in NYC so why don't the people of nyc rethink their priorities

  • The difference is that taxicabs provide useful transportation while horse-drawn carriages are strictly for pleasure. If you got rid of all cabs tomorrow, thousands if not tens of thousands of people would have problems getting around the city. I don't like them and I don't take them, but there are people who can't or won't take subways or buses. Get rid of carriages tomorrow and some tourists would complain but they would survive and could quickly find other diversions.

  • @horsesinnyc Hey crazy beeach, whast did you think of City Hall? We are all still so pleased that you were REMOVED by the Sgt, At Arms. Your uncontrolled outbusts of insanity are priceless. ha ha. The fact that we got a raise in fare is secondary to watching you get thrown out!!

So now we make $130 an hour, and you? oh that's right, UNEMPLOYED.

LOVELESS, CHILDLESS, JOBLESS and CLUELESS, thats some life you got there. NOW THAT'S KARMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hahahahahahaha heee heeee.

  • *pathetic*

  • shows how down right pathetoc people can be.

Am glad no person or animal where hurt.

  • The industry is protected by 2 people at City Hall - Bloomberg, who says that carriages are good for tourism, and Quinn, who is beholden to the pro-carriage Queens democratic machine. Even if she didn't have this allegiance, she would still block the bill because she won't challenge the Mayor (What happened to checks and balances between the legislative and executive branches?). Bloomberg & Quinn have stripped City Hall of democracy, and the horses are just a few of the many victims

  • @donnyfmoss

I'm calling B.S. on you donny. I don't think this has a damn thing to do with horses or animals in general. I just wonder how much you're getting paid by the opposition party to destroy an honest trade so that they can get their corrupt hands back into New York politics.

  • @hellsunicorn

Who's hand is up your ass that you suddenly come on here and make comments? You smell of asshole. Who have you been in contact with that sent you here?

  • @donnyfmoss How are you short ass, you do know that your arrogant and self rightous manner got us the raise and defeated your own bill!!!!

The City Council of NYC voted 44 to 4 in our favour, not so much because they like us, but because they hate YOU and your lying, coniving bunch of anemic, lonley, pathetic cretins.

Keep on harassing the council members, keep spreading you lies, keep on deluding yourself that you have power.

  • Mayor Bloomberg should be ASHAMED of himself, especially considering that his daughter is an equestrian rider. Are they both numb of all feelings? Must be. Vote this Dictator out of office, along with his paid and cared for Council members.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you Donny for getting this horrific truth OUT!!!

  • This is awful. Those poor horses belong in grassy pastures, running free, not chained up and made to pull a carriage in a dangerous city in all sorts of inclement weather.

    How cruel.

  • And completely inhumane :S

Who would want this kind of life? Look at the eye of that horse in the end of the video. Almost brought tears out. So sad and makes you wanna rip something up, just do something!

  • Christine Quinn is, in fact, the problem. Because of her ties to the Queens democratic machine, which is closely aligned with the horse-drawn carriage industry, she has blocked the bill to ban horse-drawn carriages - a bill that has the support of thousands of New Yorkers who believe that horse-drawn carriages have no place in the busy streets of New York

  • Why won't NYC start protecting horses? Because too many people are stuck in some 19th century idea of New York City, when horses didn't have to compete with cars. Because money matters more than life in New York City. And because Christine Quinn finds it charming to take carriage rides and won't allow humane legislation to get to the full City Council. Shame on NYC, its politicians and every person who rides in a horse-drawn carriage.

  • It is disturbing that NYC cannot stop mistreating horses. We don't allow the mistreatment of dogs or cats for the sake of tourism, so why do we go along with it when it comes to horses ?

Why can't Mayor Bloomberg do something about this ?
