Al, read closely cause I aint about to type this here message twice! I better, and I repeat, I BETTER see a video for "Death & Destruction" in about 3 weeks time or else! I'll be checking nightly.
I cant wait to hear more of it, so far what I have heard does have an old school feel to it...Al been doing it for quite a while ( the only album i truly hated was "with Sympathy"so i dont own that, but I got all the rest
It's true. Big Black sounded like Ministry, back when Ministry sounded like Michael Jackson doing vocals over Depeche Mode. I like both bands however.
A local bar played the new Ministry album in it's entirety last night, and I have to say that it's probably the best Ministry record since Psalm 69.
Because Big Black aka Steve Albini broke up the band in 1987. They quit while they were ahead. You can catch Albini in his new band,Shellac, which sounds ALOT like Big Black but a bit more math rock-ish.
Al looks like the crypt keeper from "Tales from the Crypt." I didn't even recognize him from his pretty boy days of With Sympathy. What happened? Is Al sick or something?
Thanks Uncle Al. You've been a great influence on me as a muscian and it's great to see the intelligent lyrics about what's going on in politics from a band that has balls. And no, Ministry's past 4 albums have not all been just Bush bashing, then again I buy them and listen to them.
This commercial looks like Nine Inch Nails Closer. What is up with the magic spells and slaughter and God all of sudden. He is stealing ideas from Trent. Trent came up with the psa first for Year Zero.
Um, Ministry were rearranging people's thought patterns (not initially, but that's another story) while Trent Reznor was selling keyboards. The "religion of apocalypse" theme has been a long running motif in their work.
Ministry didn't create shit. Big Black was doing this shit before that pussy half spic Al was even making music. They were a talentless pop/snyth band. They haven't made a good record since Pslam 69.
Al looks like a really fun guy, i heard people say he's probably arrogant but i dont see that at all. anyways its sad that this is the end for Ministry
Ministry was one of my favorite bands and I can't wait for the new record but dude this is a GAY psa. wtf??? That's the best they could come up with??? I lost like 100 points of respect seeing this shit. Granted, they are working on their retirement and I'm floored that they have survived this long but the irony is gone and asking for people to buy baubles is transparent and comes across as desperate, at this point. MINISTRY. Be fucking hard core again. Please.
Also, the sample in the beginning is not from the new album, it's from Rio Grande Blood. Perhaps this is why people are assuming things already. It helps if you've actually listned to the records to know what you're talking about.
Actually, this album will be more oriented with the downfall of the U.S. "end of days" kind of theme. And this wouldn't be the "4th album" to use focus on Bush Bashing. The only album that soley did so was Rio Grande Blood, if you've heard Houses of the Mole' it deals with far more than just bush. And the other bush related material was vastly just remixes and so forth, not completely new material. So...I don't know why everyone is complaining so much.
Is this commercial for another Bush album? Haven't the last 4 Ministry cds used Bush as his muse and thats makes AL really tick and thrive and happy. I am looking forward to it.

"The Last Sucker" ranks up there with "Psalm 69"; phenomenal record.
I'm a little bummed out about the lack of crack though. A couple of stones in my 13th Planet bundle would have been nice.
