  • this proves ground tests dont mean shit

  • how do you make your glitter stars, composition?

  • i havent tried the winokurs yet ill give them a shot

  • what was the comp for the first star mine? They look great

  • @gothbro111 That was winokur 20 with Mg replacing the MgAl. The traditional comp looks better.

  • you could always just throw a bunch of sparklers in it...see what happens then haha

    their magnesium...that would be interesting.

  • Quite a "violent" tail.

  • Where did you get such a slow burning fuse?

  • @fireworkgalore That is falling leaves fuse.

  • @Nighthawkinlight Oh, okay. I'll have to get some of that.

  • @Nighthawkinlight

What IS falling leaves fuse, and can you make it?

    It seems pretty...

  • @japanesepoptart It is a slow burning colored fuse that is cut into short pieces to put into shells and mines instead of stars. It cannot be made at home.

  • hey can you give me the comp for this i made up my own its 50% kno3, 30% Mg flaked , 15% charcoal , 5% sulfur . it burned a white blue . actually if you give send me some simple comps cause i can only get KNO3 , Mg , aluminum , charcoal ,sulfur ,zinc ,titanium. really idont have access to the nitrates other Kno3 and i can buy stuff off the internet. have you ever used a pearl streamer star

  • @jsmithmilitary Try cannonfuse for a good list of compositions. I have not made pearl stars.

  • Very good intro, i'd like to see more of those.

  • new intro is super and i like it very much you are best firework man on the planet for me :) 5/5*

  • did you have any problems with the magnesium reacting with the wet comp. Because I have been making zinc based starts and the zinc always reacts with the water and heats up, produces hydrogen gas and destroys my stars. Any way let me know because I want to try it. And if you have used zinc let me know your trick.

  • If you smell ammonia it's reacting with the nitrate. 2% boric acid in the water used to wet the comp will prevent that reaction.

  • great, I hope that works! Now I can try to make my zinc stars again! Thanks so very much for the help.

  • @PoopSwindler remember the zinc-combustion reaction wont work if there's to much liquid present besides i haven't had a problem they burn blue green for me i've only made them twice though.

  • @RileyAnnDavison hey fuck you

  • @TheCombineify sorry I don't even remember watching this video! I must have hit submit or something on accident. Nice video though!

  • @TheCombineify hey sorry I don't even remember watching this video I must have hit comment on accident. thanks for pointing that out. Maybe you could be a little nicer. It was an honet mistake. Have a nice day.

  • @RileyAnnDavison im sorry bute he she makes good vidios.

    hmm

  • what is that "TT"? im really new to this

  • It stands for tigertail - Which is a type of star with a long orange tail.

  • ah ok, i see... thx

  • Tiger Tail

    44KNO3

    44C

    6S

    6dextrine

  • thx^^

  • I love it how i call then fireworks and has all these propernames for them...

  • i wanna go to this guys fireworks party :P

  • I think your TT charchoal has to be in a finer mesh.

    The rest is very nice!

  • its because the light is very great and the camera doesnt quite deal with it to well lol

  • how does the blue beam appear? the one on 0:30

  • the reflection of light on the lens

  • wat are te parts and the camicals you youst??

  • am ende sieht das ding aus wie was verwelktest oder totes :D

  • great tails!

  • Beautiful :D

  • very nice

  • make a vid on how to make

  • I have one. Look up starmine in my videos.

  • intro is great 5*. you should have seen my first 3/4" mine, it was d1 glitter. it was great

  • whoa, 0:50

  • love the tails, man

  • Thats really cool at :50

  • the one downside i see at 1:00 is all the falming hot stuff comin down... you know?

  • kool koolkoolkool nigg nigg

  • Are you serious that first mine was only 3/4 inch? What diameter stars? Awesome tails for small stars!

  • Thanks. The stars were about 3/8" in diameter I believe, and about 1/4" thick.

  • thank you and well what im makeing its more of ground based stuff i call what i do "ghetto pyrotechnic" lol its like cheap but they look pretty cool i use sparler powder and match heads and patasum nitrate.

  • ya i stared makeing fire works since yester day lol and well wtf do you use for getting the shit in to the sky im only 12 so bare with meXP

  • Put off making fireworks until you have a better understanding of them. And at your age get your parents involved. Things will go much better for you that way.

  • lol yeh, loving the respect for the equiptment; "gettignt he shit into the sky" and "patasum nitrate" o_O

  • LOL...

    yeah...

sure would hate to mess with any "patasum" based chemicals! XD

  • yeah! LOL I was thinking the same! lol what is "patasum" anyway?!?! lol

  • its called lift powder AKA granulated black powder

  • i dont understand why more people dont watch your videos people could learn from them

  • Why thank you

  • cool intro

  • like the intro

  • is this just basically the same stuff thats in sparklers?

  • Nice man love the new intro!

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • where do you get/how do you make stars

  • look it up

  • sköööööööööööööööööönnnn

  • Your intro is awesome, you should use it in every video! =D And those stars are wicked too.

  • hey ben can i make stars from normal black powder because i have made much meal but i forgot that i want ti make stars so can i make stars with normal ready bp and charcoal? and nice vid

  • Try adding about 20% extra charcoal and that should work fine.

  • ok i will try it :)

  • mmmhhh my stars burn a bit like tt stars but they dont ignite in shells in starmines they lokk pretty good and i used a bit mg for a sparking effect but they dont ignite in shells can you help me?

  • They are likely underoxidized or still damp. Also try priming them.

  • priming whats that :D

  • Coat them in BP for better ignition.

  • ok i will try it today thanks!!!

  • they burn they< ignite thanks

  • He told you to add charcoal, but don't forget the binder!

  • i know i always use dextrin :D

  • Cant you do a video when you doing Easy stars ? :) i mean out of easy matrials like ... KN03 and something ? :) if its work

  • Look up tigertail stars.

  • like the intro

  • nice'

  • Did you use the normal water/dextrin to bind these stars, and was the magnesium coated? Do you think if I used uncoated magnalium and bound with red gum/alcohol there would be any problems?

  • I used liquid laundry starch as binder, and the Mg was uncoated but large grained. There was some reaction occurring as the stars dried, but it settled down. With red gum I doubt there would be any reaction at all.

  • whats the song in the beginning of the vid?

  • It's just a bit of random playing I did. Sorry, I couldn't tell you how I played it.

  • im talik about purple or blue ones not these

  • Yep I understand

  • can i cut yours" go-getters" with the mix of 25 alchol and water and use it in a 2/3 ''shell but i think they ignite too fast i gonna make some biggers to " give in looks"

  • Yeah that should be fine

  • It is for s second time fuse because the Chinese use these shells and their fuse is terrible. PyroDirect carries good time fuse so I only need to use the one hole. The other I lightly plug with paper and paste over it. It's not likely the fire would get into it with a few layers of pasting.

  • as usual great job I can only hope

  • Omg so nice!

  • Another excellent vid. Does using AI rather than MG deter the glitter effect at all? Oh and excellent intro dude, you should put NightHawkInLight Productions, or A NightHawkInLight Production.

  • I'm not sure, I've never used Al in winokur 20. It is meant to be used with MgAl. I suspect course Al would simply delay the glitter.

  • Nice just one question i have never tried with my magnesium to make stars becuse it stands a label on it that you are not gona mix it with water becuse it will create gases that can easly ignite is that true? It also stand on some aluminium i have just got. Ps sry my english.

  • That is true. It is possible to use Mg powder, but it must be coated in linseed oil and also many times boric acid must be added to the composition to prevent a reaction.

  • if you put tiny chunks of mg ribbon with boric acid and linseed oil would that work to create bright flashes? or would the miniature strips even ignite?

  • Maybe. It all depends on the star composition.

  • GREAT VID NIGHT loved the mines.fitting gitfiddlin' on the intro too.Chalk it up as yet another quality vid.

  • Thank you

  • Not bad. I like 'em a bit bigger i want to feel the thump in my chest.

I love the way tiger tail looks but despite it being one of the simplest formulas i have never gotten it to work. i think i over wet it...

  • Sure, I like larger mines as well. I just didn't want to use to many of my stars up in testing.

  • great intro man! is that you playing guitar in it?

  • Yes indeed it is. Thank you.

  • Cool intro and another great vid

  • GREAT INTRO!

  • you used to be just plain nightwhawk dident you?

  • Nope, always have been nighthawkinlight.

  • i liked them alot. and the intro was awesome

  • lovley vid, and intro! why did you change account though?

  • Change account? What do you mean?

  • very nice intro, very nice min 5 stars favorited

  • intro stars test all good

  • loved it!

  • Very nice and odd that I was testing glitter last night... :P They are certainly more aggressive in their burn charcteristics that their Al/MgAl counterparts, and very aesthetically pleasing. 5*

  • hey man nice vid i benn waitingfor a new one haha 5/5

  • haha the intro is legit

  • Very Nice INTRO,great MINES 5 STARS

  • The intro was nice, but a little long, and I don't like intros :(

Fireworks are great, and I love them :D

  • Haha its only like a 15 sec intro

  • nice stars

    nice intro

    5*

  • very nice intro, and i really like the starmines. keep up the great vids 5* :P

  • That has a very hot afterburn. Arnt you worried about catching things on fire?

  • Not this time of year I'm not, it's always wet here. Though I would rather the stars broke up a bit more. I'll remember that for the next batch.

  • The intro is a great idea, loved it, and the stars are really interesting, they seem to crackle.

  • yeah man. great intro! like the music and it goes well with your name... bravo!

  • The intro - great timing with the riff/creamora but i think you could alter the fuse burning to something like a shell or something. Regardless, a great video 5*

  • Thanks for the input. I may do just that. I'll likely be playing around with intros for a while.
