It's all about proportions. I eat what I want but not the whole hamburger or side of fries. I do agree people need to eat more fruits and veggies. But you don't have to stop eating what you love to loose weight. I lost 25 pounds in 4 months with eating food I love but just smaller sizes and eating more of the healthy stuff.

Great advice. I'm overweight and have changed my lifestyle a few months ago to lose weight.
It definitely takes a lot of self control, especially when eating with/around people who are eating unhealthy foods. Fortunately I love raw foods and I've cut meat from my diet. When you eat meat, you take in the fat, cholesterol and other bad things from that animal into your body. I exercise a few days a week even if I only have time for a short jog. I've lost 30lbs so far! Good Luck All! <3

I recently realized your theory is true; I cannot live a "balanced" life of normal food and sweets every now and then, so I went on a sugar fast and the strangest thing happened.... It made my tongue so acute that I started tasting the sweetness in "non-sweet" foods, and now I don't miss it!

Everything that you said is so true. I really liked the way you talked. I'm not overweight, but I'm trying to get really cut, and lately I had some major binges on junk food. I realized (I hope so) that it's not worth it, because yeah, the pleasure lasts me the time that takes me to finish the food (how long? 10 minutes? 20 minutes?), and then I feel sick and guilty. I agree with the point you're are trying to make, but I think that ONCE in a while you are allowed to have your favorite kind of food, but to have them in a small portion. The only thing is that you have to have enough will power to not eat it constantly or in bigger portions. I think its more healthier if you train your brain to have that will power instead of just running away from bad food forever.

@pinkkrosse You can eat anything you want as long as it is in moderation. You are not going to get fat, eating a piece of chocolate cake. If you restrict a certain food, then that temptation is going to get stronger and then you are going to feel bad when you eat it. You should be able to eat what you want and not have someone tell you how to eat.
@WachChup72 if you do a boundary, and restict that food you are going to give in and then you feel worse about yourself. You should be able to eat foods in moderation. It is okay to splurge.

@101011001 The vegan diet is fine, however you cannot get the protein. You need at least a steak a month to get protein,. You can not all the protein you need through being a vegetarian. Also being a vegan usually triggers anorexia, because you are being so careful and restricting your body of nutrients that it needs. Soon you become obsessed with calories and fat and then you are ill.

At first i thought you were being annoying but your right and that's really interesting. It sucks how lots of ppl don't know this they don't take overeating seriously like an actual addiction.
The term "diet" is so...... bleh. It all comes down to calories. I think you can eat whatever you want to, BUT THE AMOUNT OF CALORIES YOU EAT PER DAY SHOULD BE LESS THAN WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR SOMEONE OF YOUR WEIGHT DOING THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK.
One should be able to control oneself and not get carried away eating if they eat a 'pleasure food.' One could get pissed off, but it's a good thing to remind yourself why is it that you are eating less.
I like your words about dieting not working. So true but I do have a few things to say that you did not mention. First is exercise. There is a misconception that diet is 70% of weight loss and exercise is 30%. I found it to be the opposite. I also found that if you forget about body image and just enjoy exercise and good meals you lose weight without even knowing it. Forget about the scales and the measuring tape and your body will be the weight it's meant to be. Works for me anyway.
I am an individual who suffers 8 years now from an ED..... I was anorexic/ bulimic (anorexica nervosa) but went to recovery. Unfortunetly recovery left me no rules for how to be "normal"... basically I fast and then get scared of what I'm doing binge and then snowball into aB/P cycle. A recovery mate of mine sent me this link. Even though my situation is dif. I still found this so helpful and kick in the butt to try and get my life healthy..THANK YOU! being healthy is so important.... trust me.

The point I was making at the end was lose the trigger food for a year and see where you end up then "treat" yourself but your dont treat your self to street drugs once you detox from them do you! i love this chicks attitude striat to the point "you have a problem" i have lost weight been sucesful but soemtimes this happens to all of us we try something and say fuck it ill run a mile tomorrow not eat etc and never do it and cram out mouths for the fuck of it and then feel like shit the next day. thats the problem, giving in. :p

I acknowledge that I'm fat and see no reason to change, being healthy will change me but it won't make me happy.
I'd prefer being fat and eating what I want then being skinny and eating food that tastes like arse.

this video likely changed my life! nobody wants to accept the COLD HARD TRUTH about life with people and addcitive perosnalities! it makes so much sense that a person has to stop eating certain foods FOR LIFE. i have failed so many diets due to that STUPID CHEAT DAY. i have lost 75 pounds and kept it off for 3 years, al of but 25 come back each year, due to getting back into addictive foods cycles my body is DONE with the ups and downs, i also agree w/ shonhubble and tasting sugar in non sweets

Girl, you are preaching some TRUTH! The truth is, you referred to addictions like alcoholism and drug abuse. But a drug is anything that alters your normalcy when it is taken away. My drug is sugar. I recently realized your theory is true; I cannot live a "balanced" life of normal food and sweets every now and then, so I went on a sugar fast and the strangest thing happened.... It made my tongue so acute that I started tasting the sweetness in "non-sweet" foods, and now I don't miss it!

... my mind has just been completely blown. Thank you so much for this video! I only have one kind of binge food; chocolate. I don't crave anything else and i don't binge on anything else. And your video has helped me realise that my 'craving' is really an addiction. My binges always begin with 'oh i'll just have one' and end with 'I think i'm going to throw up'. Your video has helped me decide that i can NEVER have just one piece as it will kickstart my entire addiction again. DETOX BEGINS NOW!

Everything that you said is so true. I really liked the way you talked. I'm not overweight, but I'm trying to get really cut, and lately I had some major binges on junk food. I realized (I hope so) that it's not worth it, because yeah, the pleasure lasts me the time that takes me to finish the food (how long? 10 minutes? 20 minutes?), and then I feel sick and guilty. If I reach my goal, that would make me feel greater in a long term. Your video is motivational. Thanks a lot and good luck!

I agree with the point you're are trying to make, but I think that ONCE in a while you are allowed to have your favorite kind of food, but to have them in a small portion. The only thing is that you have to have enough will power to not eat it constantly or in bigger portions. I think its more healthier if you train your brain to have that will power instead of just running away from bad food forever.

Girls unless she is a registered dietician or nutrionist, do not believe what she is telling you. Ask your doctor first. Being a vegan does ont give you the same kind of protein as meat does., you can replace it. When you restrict your diet in anyway from a certain nutrient it deprives your body of something that your body needs to function.Being a strict vegan also means that can easily lead to anorexia. BE WISE GIRLS. Dont believe everything you hear and read

wow you look so beautiful in this vid, you just open my eyes, i just noticed my problem and im 26 i've being size 9 since i was15. i've tried to go down to 5 and it just seems impossible, i go down to 7 and up to 11 and then i think well probably is the way i should stay in 9, im 5'7 by the way. but yeah i do have problems and i eat, and i feel that a piece of chocolate cake will make me feel better after 5 days of dieting, weird .... thank you for your time in your videos and your testimony

@pinkkrosse You can eat anything you want as long as it is in moderation. You are not going to get fat, eating a piece of chocolate cake. If you restrict a certain food, then that temptation is going to get stronger and then you are going to feel bad when you eat it. You should be able to eat what you want and not have someone tell you how to eat.

@101011001 The vegan diet is fine, however you cannot get the protein. You need at least a steak a month to get protein,. You can not all the protein you need through being a vegetarian. Also being a vegan usually triggers anorexia, because you are being so careful and restricting your body of nutrients that it needs. Soon you become obsessed with calories and fat and then you are ill.

I love you!!! I really needed someone to kind of tell me to stop making excuses and just lose the last ten pounds. I already lost 15 pounds and I just kind of stopped what I was doing and although I haven't gained the weight back, I know it'll come back if I keep eating like this and not exercising. And I'm tired of losing and gaining and losing and gaining! I really want to lose this weight! Ahhh! Thank you for giving me that push I needed!

The term "diet" is so...... bleh. It all comes down to calories. I think you can eat whatever you want to, BUT THE AMOUNT OF CALORIES YOU EAT PER DAY SHOULD BE LESS THAN WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR SOMEONE OF YOUR WEIGHT DOING THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK.
One should be able to control oneself and not get carried away eating if they eat a 'pleasure food.' One could get pissed off, but it's a good thing to remind yourself why is it that you are eating less.

I like your words about dieting not working. So true but I do have a few things to say that you did not mention. First is exercise. There is a misconception that diet is 70% of weight loss and exercise is 30%. I found it to be the opposite. I also found that if you forget about body image and just enjoy exercise and good meals you lose weight without even knowing it. Forget about the scales and the measuring tape and your body will be the weight it's meant to be. Works for me anyway.

I am an individual who suffers 8 years now from an ED..... I was anorexic/ bulimic (anorexica nervosa) but went to recovery. Unfortunetly recovery left me no rules for how to be "normal"... basically I fast and then get scared of what I'm doing binge and then snowball into aB/P cycle. A recovery mate of mine sent me this link. Even though my situation is dif. I still found this so helpful and kick in the butt to try and get my life healthy..THANK YOU! being healthy is so important.... trust me.

I'm not on a diet, but I was trying to become a vegetarian, and for a year I took like two days a week to eat meat, and after a while I ate meat all the time. So a few months ago I finally just said "you know what, I need to stop this because not eating meat made me feel happier and healthier, so I need to be veggie again." I did, and I haven't eaten meat in six weeks.

I've had this problem because my family always seems to have junk food and more junk food and unhealthy foods and its unusual for them to buy the healthy fruits, nuts, and green foods that you say we need to be eating.. starting today i am going to do as you say and be a Drill Sargon on myself and forget what they nag me to eat, they don't finish their piece of cake they've always told me to eat it....NO MORE!

It is all about changing your life and your habits. Stop eating junk food! Sugar and Wheat are killing us! I cut out sugar, wheat, dairy and went 80-90% RAW! I lost 38 pounds in 3 months. I went from a size 12 to a 4! I have kept it off and I eat all day long! RAW! Which feels better? Eating a cookie or wearing a size 4?

just because your fat does not mean your unhealthy. ive been fat for years,and im nice and healthy! i eat many fatty foods,but im still losing weight cause im drinking alot of water,its working for me may not work for you cause everyone is different.your not 100% correct,but some points are valid. i say some cause if your fat your NOT going to fail (im successful and im fat).you just need to know what works for you and your body,not just follow what everyone else says. this is just my opinion.

good video, but you kind of contradicted yourself at the end didn't you? bad triggering foods should never be an option right, even if you go raw for years. free days or any kind of bad food should never be a reward to look forward to, or that physical (& psychological) hunger for it will never die. should learn to just look forward to being fit & healthy! but anyway, i definitely know the ups & downs of weight, it's devastating. you have some great vids, keep up the good work!

@shofizzy Yikes honestly your 100% right! All trigger foods should be avoided 100% of the time. The point I was making at the end was lose the trigger food for a year and see where you end up then "treat" yourself but your dont treat your self to street drugs once you detox from them do you! @fastinggurl31 cont... reaction, it is somewhat controlled by us and our subconscious, for me when you have control over your mind you control your reactions as well. so what I feel is that when something goes from a treat to part of balanced nutrition, and yes I add "bad" foods in this to when the time is right because a little wrong for the body is good. it makes it adapt. anyway my humble opnion, great vid

Im am now struggling i went from 205 to 150 and goal is 140. i eat clean healthy raw life. and i keep going from 149 tp 155 seems on the weekend and ive doing this for a couple weekends. goal is right there and i realize i need to buckle back down and do it . thank you for this video

The only reason any diet works is because it lowers the amount of calories you intake. The new england journal of medicine even states any combination of fats proteins or carbs can make you fat in excess.
