Ive noticed very little beneficial technologies make it out of these large universities, outside of military applications i sincerely doubt there will ever be an alternative energy device spawned from academia
unless its some cow college or tech school (where professors and students have financial freedom)
I don't understand why nano technology and high dollar research needs to be involved, Sterling Engines and Hydrogen Mediums combined with parabolics should be our future, Nikola Tesla also
ok, I've watched it two times now to double check, and although their is all kinds of details on Dr. Milliron's synthesis techniques and possible sectors that could benefit, there is absolutely no description of exactly what the coatings DO. There is a generic reference to "improve efficiency" but that is so vague as to be meaningless. Come on, a little actual tech please.
