Well you know it is pretty stupid to be standing by the roadside viewing a car race. You should be well clear of the track around a few hundred yards away preferebly behind iron fence.

the race was being held at a road with no houses near.

Organizers are responsible for safety of participants not the spectators who tend to stick their faces in strip. You cannot prohibit an event based on the fact that people are stupid enough to get themselves in trouble. Racing is a sport and these kind of events are held primarily to bring out talent. Organizers were at fault because there were no barriers and personnel to stop people from getting close.

A lot has been said about the Bahria town incident. Sudden loss of dear ones hurts. It was not reckless driving, rather it was a badly organised event. Lack of care for spectators, a total disregard for safety and participation by drivers who were incapable or unqualified is evident. The organisors should be heard publically, responsibility should be affixed & taken as per the Laws of Pakistan to avoid such incidents in future. Passions be directed towards constructive action. they came ahead of the drainage pipe. if you see the videos the car has not gone ahead the drainage pipe. The organizers are to blame for the accident. there was one fuckin banner that was enclosing the drag strip if concrete blocks had been put or bags of cement this might have been avoided. all those who died my condolences go to their families but we must try to understand that in every organized racing wherever in the world accidents due occur and people do die. this was a much better organized event then the previous held at bahria town. but still proper precautionary measures were not taken and people weren't even listening. before this particular race 15 min were taken to place the people behind the drainage. as usual they listend for 5 min and as soon the cars started

This was an organized race, not an illegal street race. The organizers are responsible for making sure the spectators are at a safe distance from the road. At race speeds, things DO go wrong no matter how good the driver is, mechanical elements are subject to failure. I am sure the organizers are aware of this. The organizers must be held accountable.
