I always felt like my groin was gonna blow out trying to go wide,I would rather squat wide but just feel way too weird for me.Guess I need to keep trying them,I know it`s much better for heavier weight.
I hear ya, but as you already know it is much better for lifting serious weight. The reason why you feel that way is because your glutes and hams are a little weak for what your lifting. Right after your main squat/deadlift exercise do some glute/ham work. lower your squat weight a little and give yourself about 10 weeks doing the extra work. You will pass what your squating now with no problem :-)
I will give that a try and see what happens,I have been squatting close stance for a long time ,my knees are starting to ache a little from that also..
I've never seen anyone use these before, so pardon my ignorance. If the chains never leave the ground, how can they help? every video i've seen shows the chains dragging on the ground
I'm not sure I understand your question... You want a link or two still on the ground at the top of the squat or they will be whipping around like nobody's business.
The point is to make the weight heaviest when your biomechanics are strongest - during the middle to top of the movement. You'll be able to push more weight that way, rather than getting stuck at the bottom of the squat.
Im pretty sure squats in flip flops is a bad idea... or is that just me

Next vid put your numbers up. If I'm correct I see about 100lbs of chain and 315 on the bar... Nice lifts... ATG baby!!!

What is the point of using chains?
