  • Thanks heaven.. Manuel !

  • I was a 12 years old boy in Park Slope, Brooklyn, at the time. Hazel (a real knockout) wanted to ask me a question, but was too shy(?). So her friend Norma Jeane did it for her. It was the question in this title, a recoding of which Hazel was holding. I stupidly said "no", because I didn't want to look like a chump in front of my guy friends. In a rage, Hazel broke the record into pieces with her bare hands, and flung them at me. I was a chump.

  • Cute overbite 2:07

  • beautiful

  • I won´t ask again, will you, Funnstuf, let me show my worthy admiration to The Shirelles?

  • Sweet Brown Sugar.

    I Love IT!!

  • This amazing song was a lot better than we deserved when it first appeared...it helped get us to a better place

  • Oh, the innocence of the time! I miss it.

There were many girls then who honestly believed this was about love, not sex.

  • OK I'm old now, but I'm sure glad I was around when this first first released... Oh the magic!

  • Such an enthusiastic and touching moment watching this video!

  • i wish i was alive in this era

  • love this music mi favorita cancion

  • Micki, will you love me today, and forever? I say it from the bottom of my heart.

  • Great female singers singing a great song.

  • No Auto tune needed!! they could SING!

  • the 1960s looked fun v,v

  • the absolute days of magic music , for all his faults we should all thank Berry Gordy Jr for tamla motown and what was spawned from it in the 60,s ,sorry to say music today just doesnt cut it when it comes to real talent and class like the girl groups back then

  • This will always be one of my favorite songs, words that actually mean something in music.

  • They look like they are having so much fun!

  • I love it

  • yeah they were right in the groove

  • These women look so classy!!..

  • Wow this is great....Shirley looks like Jennifer Hudson here :))

  • @iluvrachellef I would say that Jennifer Hudson looked like Shirley :)

  • fabulous

  • love it thats real music

  • Carol King wrote this song one of the few white girls writing songs for a black groups, the group and carol just had a magic connection, one of the all time best girl groups ever so young and so good, check out Shirley Alston liv version of soldier boy.

Thanks for sharing this GREAT CLIP

  • Priceless...no way to even measure it against others...in a museum, this song is the Mona Lisa

  • I love this song. wonderful voice!!

  • @MikeMikey2012 i saw them in crystal beach ontario with dick clarks calvalcade of stars. they were told if they wanted to sing their second song no more shaking. check out from 2:00 TO 2:10

  • astounding

  • Thank you for reminding us what good music is made of! Girls are just perfect!

  • that's when music was simple on the core was more about the voice than the beat.Beautiful simply beautiful. period.

  • This song is a pathbreaker, like the Shirelles themselves. Without it there'd probably have been no Supremes, no Diana Ross and none of the many girl groups who became famous afterwards. The song might have been written by Carole King, but, in my opinion, she never sang it like the Shirelles. The Shirelles were like a tectonic shift in pop music for women. If I had to choose a favourite pop song of all time, this is it, and it just keeps coming back!!!

  • This is a rare version that allows you to hear their live sound. Love it!

  • Sweet talented girls. Miss them Miss the times. Thanks for posting.

    -Bill in Canada

  • they are booty-shakingly awesome! :D

  • are they the Pussycatdolls of 1964?

    superkinky moves from 1.58, cute!

  • I love this song.

  • i met SHIRLEY ALSTON REEVES AT THE CASINO ABOUT TEN YEARS AGO AND SHE STILL BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN AND I WILL LOVE HER IN THE MORNING

  • Spot on ladies.......as far as I'm concerned, this stuff still pumps the heart & soul & gets the oxygen flowing through the veins to clap your hands & tap your feet. This is classic material that will stand forever. It's groups like The Shirelles,The Marvelettes,The Bluebelles,The Crystals & others responsible for opening the door & paving the way to the many groups that followed. This clip is a gem.Thank you for posting.

  • The best girl group ever...love this song

  • The best female group of all-time.

    11-10-11

  • @patrickb5197 The Only one!

  • As I said those oldies are and were Great.

  • 00:37 Take a glance at the happiness in her eyes. This is singing from the heart. So simple, yet so amazing...

  • ...Back in the day my girl kept asking me the same question, after 47 years She

    ..should know by now...Haha...Lol...

  • Great group

  • perfection

  • perfection . why arent songs like this anymore?

  • That really brought back so good memories. Sound and the picture was very good. Good post, thanks.

  • awesome almost 50 years old clip, and live too. i am curious about the back up band.

  • reminds me of jr. high.

  • Wow! Those of us who lived and loved in the 60's cannot possibly make today's mixed up lot understand what a fantastic era that was.

  • @rickyleebee I lived and loved in the 60s - and WE were always called 'today's mixed up lot'! I guess things never really change.

  • Jennifer Hudson could play the lead singer of this group if they do a a movie about the Shirells !

  • nice hair

  • This is one of the first bands I saw and danced to at the Park Center in Charlotte in the mid 1960s. Good times...

  • Classy!!

  • zoweeeee! man that's a good song!

  • Teriffic memories, teriffic talent.

  • What a beauty that lead singer was! A face like an angel. Who was she?

  • @PennPearson Shirley Alston.

  • Fantastic sound from a great era for music. We were spoilt.

  • fantastic

  • !!! Beautiful heart and eyes !!! ... brave women at that time expresing their thoughts when times were abused by the color of the skin ... Can't take enough of this AWESOME video !!! Thank you !!!

  • A delight to watch their understated moves, their individuality, charm, youth and humanity. Today, the style is stagey, mechanical, dehumanized, pretentiously choreographed and far less magical -- from muscular Madonna to overproduced Gaga.

Apparently, btw, this song was banned form US radio, because it's about premarital sex and the singer's fear that the "moment of pleasure" might only be a one-night stand.

  • Amazing footage on so many levels ... thanks for posting

  • Jersey girls!

  • timeless

  • Where did all this talent go....Wish i had a time machine. I would go back to this era in a heartbeat....

  • beautiful in every way

  • .......Fine looking black woman she is !....

  • so misrepresented today, a throw back to quality relationships

  • she had a deep voice back then =)

  • gotta love the band pls give credit who were the members?

  • One of the first successful girl groups and you and u can barely find any live footage of them. Ridiculous

  • Shirley is so GORGEOUS!!!!

  • 13 yrs old I was when I heard this on the radio. great times and more to come..

  • Priceless,I think the backing band is Sounds Incorporated.

  • That's the way it's done children.

  • this "rocking" version is great ! so different from the orchestral original one.And that backing band is hard.I suppose there was a resident band at that tv channel.

  • I love this song flagged by mistake.

  • I love this!!!!

  • real musicians, real voices, real talent. i LOVE IT

  • Timeless sweet hearts.....xoxoxoxox

  • красиво!!

  • This is great...whoever hit that stupid "dislike" button needs to get a friggin life//I don't know why Youtube even has that ridiculous option!

  • :D Love this so much! :)

  • Look at the way they dressed when america had morals...now turn the clock to today...they look like morans...what a shame.

  • I think there's a big misconception here - the lead singer here is Doris (Jackson) Kenner. Shirley Owens (Shirley Alston Reeves) is the middle girl in the trio. Shirley actually sang the lead on this in the studio and on most other singles. Doris sang lead on the "Dedicated to the One I Love" single, and then later "Blue Holiday" and a few others. I know Doris took the lead in the 80's version and displayed outstanding showmanship. I think there may have been some dissention in the group .

  • Absolutely charming

  • Absolutely charming

  • It's just beautiful. Sweet!

  • Is the song title "Will you still love me tomorrow," or just "Will you love me tomorrow?" I'm seeing both on Google search.

  • The song is simple, the arrangement is simple and the vocals are simple...AND IT WORKS! Why do so many girl singers nowadays try and over-sing the song and try and do vocal exercises throughout? Keep it simple and IT WORKS!

  • PRICELESS ... one of the BEST EVER !

  • man she has pipes

  • great vocal performance. i like that the there was no orchestra, just a guitar bass and drums--cool.

  • cute

  • Quite possibly ther best pop song of all time

  • @blisskasden Totally agree with you.It really almost brings tears to your eyes as it brings back OLD memories.

What a BLOODY FANTASTIC song written by Carole King & Jerry Goffin,,i think.

I'm an 68 yo Australian & i still get blown out of the water when i hear this song.THANK YOU.

  • WOW these girrls are really good--thanks

  • @Tarn1968 They were reported to have admired the girl groups quite a lot. They liked anybody who could make good music.

  • love this

  • @onlypain1 love it love it LOVE IT !!! :-)

  • Great music and a great group, one had to be part of this era to know what it meant, this music will never die, if the music and the groups of today can last as long as this timeless magic then they can class themselves as great, but they never will. This was indeed magic and the groups like the Shirelles were class acts never to be surpassed.

  • Superb music, never surpassed, all the music from this era was marvellous, if the music of today can last as long as this and it and the groups still have the same appeal then people can say that it was great music. Takes me back to my childhood, great times.

  • Wow....Shirley is gorgeous! Such a beautiful face...and those Ronettes' eyes!!

  • Unforgettable. 51 years have passed and I remember every word. The Shirelles personified music of this great era. An era where lyrics were simple, classic and genuine, and you needed talent to sing. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard this song. What impact it had. The lyrics are timeless and universal. 13 or 50--it's natural to question...Music of this era was created from the soul,

sung from the soul, and touched your soul. Timeless. Incomparable. Not possible today.

  • One of the greatest girl groups of them all.

  • come on this song FEELS GOOD

  • this is in my top three all time favs prob no1 but my jury is still out. never a finer line in any song 'can i believe the magic of your sighs' cant be beat in my humble opinion. this song always, always without fail gives me goosebumps, the magic line just about kills me off, can i say anymore 'cept one of the finest songs ever written. i absolutely love it.

  • This song was 50 years ago no.4 in the world charts #shirelles

  • wow 1964??? this is so cool

  • great!!!

  • from romania : those gorl are great!!!!

  • ...oh man...tHIS IS THE REAL DEAL...NO FAKE SHIT,JUST TALENT,ETC...

  • Really, really, really like it. Thankyou for posting. Genuine wow.

  • This is a gold nugget from American pop history. The Shirelles are an icon !!!

  • Wow! Really!!! Nobody is moving to this hardly at all in the crowd? WTF? Thank you for this.......Peace all

  • Love it

  • Not just a great girl group but a truly GREAT group all around. Part of an era that gave us some of the best music ever recorded.

  • wonderful.

  • The Shirells.. You must be from thoses days( 1964) in order to appreciate songs like this. Now thats singing you can love...

  • @sexxylady60 i appreciate this and i/m born in 66.....

  • Even with 6billion+ people on this planet, it is hard to figure that 4 people disliked this song.

  • magic!

  • just a pity the shirelles wern"t british they would have been up there with the beatles and the stones. fantastic song, magic.

  • LIVE - WOW - EVEN THE BAND - EXCELLENT!

  • Since this record was made there has been tens of thousands of unforgettable rubbish, yet this song by the Shirelles sounds as good if not better than it did nearly a half century ago. If it has lasted so well over such a long period then it will go on forever, perhaps THE golden oldie of all time. They don't get any better

  • Cant beat the 60s!!

  • God do i love this song and this group of girls, slowly melting, wow

  • Over 60 years old, this has to be one of the true golden oldies. Deades away in the future when I am long gone, this song by the Shirelles, will still be rated as one of the all time greats. Can any body tell what the chart toppers were last week ?

  • they are sooo beautiful!!!!

  • they are sooo BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • Excellent!

  • What a CLASSIC...Love it...The Shirelles were great. I remember when this song was released

  • Modern girl bands watch this. Simple styling classy singing. Its so cool. Oh yeah and Goffin and King songwriting. It does not get better than that. What a joy.

  • Thanks for existing, Shirley

  • To my dear friend Shirley Alston Reeves you are the best. Keep on doing what you do best. Singing and serving the Lord. Love your old friend.........Shirl

  • I've always loved the timbre of Shirley's voice. And she's stunningly beautiful. What a great vid!!! Where's my time machine!!??

  • I've always loved this song, and others by this group, I'm 64.

  • I think I was born in those days and probably my mother would sing this song many times. This is the reason why I love so much.

Thanks Doris and Micki, wherever you are ... in heaven.

Beverly thanks for making the flame of the Shirelles continue living.

And thanks Shirley, I am still in love with you

  • I love this group! Shirley is my favorite :)

  • Whatever it is she's wondering about at 2:30 my answer is 'most definitely YES'.

  • Shirley is spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And so are the other girls!!!! I love this vid. It's everything that we don't have now in the music and entertainment industries.

  • I just absolutely love this version of their classic hit along with their bright personalities and huge talent.

  • I;m in love again (at 64)

  • I just love this. Great song to begin with and I love the little touches that aren't on the studio version. And they're beautiful and sexy in that classic understated way that is so much cooler than crappy skankiness.

  • Absolutely pure heavenly magic!!!!! Shirley is angelic, enchanting, and beautiful. Wow, watching this vid made my night. This was one of the first 45s I bought way back in the day.

  • Around 1972 I went to an "Oldies" show which featured 3 of the original Shirelles, Gary U.S. Bonds, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddly, and the headliner act, Bill Haley and the Comets. It was fantastic. About 5 years later I was at the very last show, ever, at the famous El Monte Legion Stadium. The headliners were the Shirelles. 3 19-year-old girls ran out on the stage. I instantly knew it was a rip-off, but I think that I was the only one who knew that. "Buick '59" was FANTASTIC.
