this is not how i make stuffed peppers at all. i have never seen some1 do it this way. 2 each is his own i guess. i clean the peppers out, you can even cut them n half if u want. mix hamburger, rice, and seasonings & then stuff the whole pepper of just the half; pressing firmly. use 1 can of v8 and put the peppers n the juice n the crock pot/oven as long as the peppers are submerged n the juice. cook until the meat and pepper are cooked 2 your liking. serve on a bed of rice with the juice ontop.
Awesome recipe! Thank you very much! I also have a really yummy stuffed peppers recipe if anyone would like to try :) its on my website if anyone is interested
hey i always wanted to try stuffed peppers well i have a question the ground turkey or beef do precook it first or do you cook it when it is stuffed in the bell peppers?
@ColorMeCrazy7 At 350 for about 45 minutes. You can put them in a pan with a little water and then cover them. It will steam them. Everything is already cooked except the pepper so when that is soft, you are good to go.
Just thought I'd post that I'm trying your way of doing Basmati rice as I type this. Followed your instructions to a tee. Wonder how long it takes for the rice to steam up in there?
I make something very similar to that, but maybe you could put tomato puree on the top instead of ketchup, it would maybe make it even nicer than it already is (:
That sounds shockingly delicious. Usually not a fan of bell peppers, but that is an awesome recipe. Love your stuff. You make it so easy to understand for a novice cook. :)
wow I've never heard of steaming stuffed peppers haha I've only ever heard of them being baked in the oven.. not that its a bad thing though! It lopks very yummy :D
Hi here is a recipe of mango lassi famous in pakistan and India •2 cups peeled and chopped mangoes •1 cup yogurt •3 tablespoons sugar (Adjust to taste) •1 tablespoon chopped mint leaves (Optional) •6 to 10 ice cubes (As needed) Method 1.Blend the mangoes, yogurt, and sugar into a puree. 2.Add chopped mint leaves. 3.Add the ice cubes. 4.You can adjust the thickness of the lassi. 5.Serve chilled.
SO awesome looking! Can you PLEASE explain how you make the basmati rice again? I love that rice and cook it all the time but would love to try it your way too! :)
I use 1 cup of rice and 3 cups of water. I put a clove of garlic in it. I bring it to a boil cover it and turn the heat off. The rice will steam itself.
Grrrrrrr!! I got impatient after the 20 min's rice would take to cook and I turned heat on LOW! Took forever to cook! I'll have to try letting it sit for the 40-50 min's you suggested. Argh, I'm so upset!
So another way would be is to cook the rice till it boils, put a lid on it and simmer on low until it is done. It will cook faster but, you need to watch it and fluff it with a fork while its cooking. Try that and see if it works better. Could depend on the rice. Let me know - Mary
Yeah it's the same thing. She puts the meat in the pan and breaks it up with a spoon and cooks it that way. Should work the same way with minced meat.
I hated peppers as a kid, so when my grandma would make em, she'd leave the some meat mixture out (we called em porcupine balls). She also called them stuffed mangoes, so when I finally saw a real mango, I was REALLY confused. :P
I love how simple your recipes are and they all taste great! Everytime you have a new one, I'm so excited to try it! I'll have these for dinner tomorrow. Thanks.
Everything sounded good up until you put ketchup on top, yuck! But the rest sounds yummy
