There exists a predicament that I would like to bring to the attention of all Americans whom, with a sense a profoundness, abide by society's laws & moreover, are careful to not violate the US Constitution
Currently, the government requires that "we the people" obtain government permission to purchase firearms. Some might say this is not true, but rather, only Felons are disallowed from purchasing firearms. However, it remains a fact that non-Felons must fill a document with personal,
identifying information that must be submitted to the government & a firearms retailer is not permitted to sell any firearms until they've received a reply from the government. That is, until government has granted permission to "we the people" to exercise our right
May I suggest that permission for our rights is in itself a violation of the entire US Constitution. Personally, I will not be coerced into violating the US Constitution by cooperating with such criminal acts
The US Constitution is in fact, destroyed. However, as long as the government continues to lack the guts to announce that they have destroyed it & they continue to display their act of waving Old Glory & claiming that they defend the Constitution, then its as good as though the Constitution had never been destroyed
This is because perception is everything. "We the people" definitely consider the Constitution to still be in effect & as long as the government words their agreement, then all perceive the same & there exists no one that says otherwise. Although "otherwise" is technically the reality, it is not manifested because "perception is everything"
But every child in America should be acquainted with his own country. He should read books that furnish him with ideas that will be useful to him in life and practice. As soon as he opens his lips, he should rehearse the history of his own country; he should lisp the praise of liberty, and of those illustrious heroes and statesmen, who have wrought a revolution in her favor. ~ Noah Webster
My daughter is taking a an 8 week class on the Constitution right now in her school. She is in 8th grade. We sat down 2 weeks ago to watch the movie Unconstitutional and she understood much more than I thought she would. Then we listened to NPR's radio program "Under Suspicion at the Mall of America". Nonetheless, as you suggest, much much more needs to be done. I'm along the lines of Noah Webster and his view on this. (see next post)
