@Daydragon1234 they are hooked into my speaker wire terminal on my sub box.. so they arent getting constant power. they are only getting power when the amp tells the subs to pound. which makes the lights power up only when the bass hits

@YoDubie these lights are LED so they can handle alot of power.. just twist the neg and pos speaker wire with your neg and pos speaker wire running from your amp to your subs.. then when the bass hits your light will light up

@AlexCainMusic6661 i never took it that far.. i just ran my lights to a switch that i could use to turn off during the day. but you really cant see them during the day anyways. the toggle switch was mainly for my underbody LEDs

@Bassislife100 i did it myself! and all you do is twist the neg light wire with the neg speaker wire and the pos light wire with the pos speaker wire.. plug into you sub box and your lights will pulse with the bass! thanks for the view and comment!

@2jaalbass I have the same basic set up, and after a few months the lights kind of just "blow out". By that I mean that they don't light up like that anymore, I don't know if the current is too strong or what but they only blow when I crank my system.

I have the same set up as this guy, I have my LEDs hooked up to my amp, but sadly if they're hooked up to your amp they'll only come on when the bass hits. I wondered the same thing and tinkered around for like a week and it never did work, so yeahh.

Guys they are just normal led strands.. They are wired into the amp. its not rocket science.. If you can install a sub with a amp you can hook up a led strip..

@pgomes1150 in michigan its illegal if the light strip is visible from the outside of the car. thats for colors such as green and blue and purple... the only colors that are legal and can be visible from the outside of the car are, red, white, and amber.

@OfficeMussik it depends on how many light strips ya got! lol.. ive got them everywhere now.. under the seats in the front and back, all around my sub box, down by where click your seatbelt when your driving, i have 2 strips on each side of the center consol.. then i have a bunch that i stuck to the top of my trunk (inside).. that way they shine down ot the sub box! it looks really awesome.. if you have a ported sub box, you can reach in the crack and instal a strip there! thanks for watching!!!

@Hav0K923 nope.. i took the light wires and hooked them directly into my sub box. just twist the light wire and your speaker wire together and whenever the subs get power to pound, the lights will get power to flash. make sense?

@justindowty I have ordered LED strips off eBay from multiple sellers and they have all worked. Get 5050 LED strips for maximum brightness. :P Hope this helps.

@Kjintae yea, when you get it, its just a positive and negative wire coming off the light strip. plug each one into your sub box and they will pulse to the bass.

@Kjintae yea there is always a possibility of a fire. the best way to prevent that is to make sure all your connections are solid and taped really good. dont leave any wires exposed and you should be fine. ive ran my system to the max with the lights blazin. you can hook them up to a switch too. your light wire will have one (+) and one (-) wire. take 2 speaker wires and connect them to each wire. youll have 2 (+), and 2 (-) wires off the lights now. then run one (+) to the switch, and one to

@Kjintae sub box, and do the same with the negative wire. then you can turn them off during the day. i live in michigan and underbody lights are illegal here. but im running some anyways but running them to 2 switches actually. one switch so they stay one constantly, and one switch so that they pulse with the bass. im hoping to finish soon and post a video. please subscribe and check it out when i post it! thanks for the comment too btw

@SKolenc They sell them at walmart for $15 or you can get them on ebay for like $2 free shipping. But most are from hong kong so it takes forever to get here. Id go with ebay
