  • I want a rice cooker... About how much would one set me back to get a real one in America you think?.... Serious question... kawaii

  • @6Epigone9 You neededn't buy a rice cooker really. I mean if you want one, by all means do so... but for most Japanese dishes you can just steam your rice which you can also do without a steamer. You just place rice into a pot of boiling water and cover with a lid, do not stir it or it won't work... them BOOM in a few minutes (10-15 / until all the water has evaporated or been soked up) you have rice at the same consistancy you get from a rice steamer.

  • You have a really cute voice!

    Anata no koe kawaii desu!

  • what kind of rice?

  • @shibby1998 if you go to your local asian market, ask the people who work there for the sushi rice. i'm pretty sure it can be used for this cuz it's reallllly sticky :)

  • Thanks for English subtitle, I like the way you teach to cook, Thanks again

  • Thank You, I will make these this weekend. :-)

  • thank you so much for taking from your time

to teach us how to do rice balls pretty awesome. (^_^)v

  • Yum yum!

  • i watched this video at least 5 times...im hungry

  • what kinda rice do u use... sushi???

  • @420phishingformoe420

Japanese rice. It'll become sushi rice if you add the vinegar.

The rice is short and round grains. Japanese rice has an ability to become sticky, so that you can compress together!

  • Easier way to add the water: Make sure the rice is even. Stick your finger inthe middle of the bowl. Look and see where the top of the rice is on your finger. Puter the tip of your finger on the top of the rice. Where the rice was measure on your finger is where you fill the water up to.

  • i sow a star and a sphere with a flat bottom, but no ball??????

  • Best video I saw this morning. I'd like to learn more ways to prepare salmon.

  • how to make BALLS

  • Once I taught myself how to create triangle shape onigiri, but the result is always gets round shape lol

  • YOUR RICE BALLS ARE SOO PERFECT :OOO

  • can everyone tell me the meaning of cod roe in Indonesia?

  • @renrenchan62 I cant tell you the name in Indonesian, but perhaps if I explain better in English.

Cod = Name of the fish. Roe = A meat part of the female fish where the eggs are held.

So you need to find what name is used for "Cod" fish then identify the part "Roe"

Cod maybe "kulit buah" or "ikan cod" perhaps. Here is a you tube video explaining the fish. Hope this helps /watch?v=vsTG9xTMsyY

  • can everyone tell me the meaning cod roe in Indonesia ?

  • @renrenchan62 cod roe in indonesia is like 'telur ikan cod' (roe = telur/ bibit). kayak telur yang masih dalam ovarium ikan betina. di jepang, cod roe namanya mentaiko. bila u penggemar sushi, ada menu yang menggunakan bahan cod roe (ex sushi tei). I've never tried it, cant tell you how it feels ^ ^;

  • Can I use any kind of rice for the onigiri?

  • @princeAce12 Short-grained rice is better, because it likes to stick together better. Also, the instant rice you get in the US is treated to make it fall apart easily, as opposed to the sticky Asian varieties. I have used Minute Rice for my onigiri at home, but they tend to be kind of crumbly and hard to manage. Still tasty though!

  • @princeAce12 Regular white rice works best, but you can use jasmine. Brown rice works so-so, and wild rice really sucks for onigiri. Rhye berries are the absolute worse. You want a sticky rice that won't fall apart.

  • eso se ve rico! :D

  • awesomeness thanks for making this I might give this to my boyfriend with the next anverisery comes around ;)

  • love it! ( and you) ~

  • love it! ( and you) ~~

  • Well I'm making some onigiri and I'm using Spanish rice and it's just as good as Asian rice, very sticky. The name is Canilla rice. Hope it helped.!!! ^^
