All those presidential candidates should have relinquished their bid for the role of president so that 1 person can challenge that dictator. With one opposition against the dictator change would have occurred and the country can start to move on and develop..In Office for the good of the country, not your pocket!

The Baganda themselves are not innocent. Baganda people killed many Tutsi's from Rwanda. Many Baganda don't even know that they are not true Baganda. Many Kings of Buganda killed many people but no one want to talk about it. Their parents have made sure that they forget Rwanda and embrace Buganda. Obote was very educated and not as stupid as Idi Amini. Obote never destroyed Uganda. He was just simply hated by the Baganda.

Aploo Milton Obote ursuped power by storming Lubiri - Palace - at Bulange with the help of Idi Amin who was the head of the Uganda Army then in 1966. He killed many Baganda, banished traditional leaders, abrogated the Constitution, concocted another one with Binaisa, and declared a state of Emergency for Buganda only all those years!!! Obote had class. Ugandan hate him because he led to the death of their beloved King Mutesa 11. If he didn't chase the King out of Uganda, he would have led Uganda to paradise. In Uganda if you want to be loved you don't touch the Baganda King. The Baganda are the mojority tribe.

I vividly remember what your Obote did to us. I was a kid then, but I remember well.. We used to sleep in the bushes, only to come out in the morning to go to school! And yes, this was in Ntinda, just outside Kampala where I was born and grew up. How can you justify playing the african freedom song to Obote, the murderer?

Ugandans can be idiots sometimes. Obote did not build the schools, hospitals with his own money. The real heroes were and have always been the poor farmers who fill the coffers.
