Mom: I think I keep getting messages

    or missed calls or something.

    Son say : From who?

Mom say : Some woman named... Betty Low?

Son say : Um, BATTERY LOW??

Mom say : Yeah, that's it!

    Son say : =.=

  • so 6 cups is 100 calories? holyyyyyyy

  • @theycallmedumb Yes, just read the label and pick then one that says 15 calories per popped cup!

    --Betty :)

  • Wow, you must have great will power, with all the great food you make. I love your channel and your recipes. Keep cooking. Xo

  • Betty, do you ever eat the food? You're so thin.

  • @checkoutmrpushypants I always eat a small portion of the food from bettyskitchen, but my main diet is egg whites for breakfast, tuna for lunch, and broiled chicken with steamed vegetables for dinner--no snacks.

    --Betty :)

  • Can this spray be used as a alternate to cooking oil. like just enough so that your fish or chicken doesn't stick to the frying fan.

  • @waseem1173 Yes, it's great for that! I usually bake with it sprayed on aluminum foil.

    --Betty :)

  • How clever

  • @Mrugeshaaa Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • She Is Betty Crocker!! LOL!! (The Food Company For Cake Mixes!!)

LOL!! I MET HER ON MY LAPTOP!! LOL!

  • @ThePessaYard Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty! You're rich.

you have an movie theatre in you're house!

  • @NiKKiBSEXCii We're not rich; we just spend money on things that interest us.

    --Betty :)

  • this is one of my favorite recipe's that you showed us! its so simple, and the herb flavor is my favorite afternoon snack!

  • @112WildCat211 Thanks for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

  • Ru anorexic sorry but u focus too much on calories

  • @spicychick1172 Some people think I don't focus enough on calories--like with the recent deep-fried chicken and the Italian Cream Cake--very calorie-laden! I just make food for everyone--a little steak and potato type food, some vegetarian food, lots of casseroles and soups, plus side dishes and desserts.

    --Betty :)

  • This is intertesting. Waka video!!

  • You now can purchase omega 3 butter its much more healthier than that spray cause the omega 3 have no cholesterol in it and that spray may have some.

  • To everyone out there who worries soo much about calories! Just do exercise! If u dont have time, then do exercise. Yeah. Do that. It's better for you, PLEASE.

  • @babyface043 For microwave popcorn I always use Kroger's 94% fat-free. It's only 15 calories per popped cup. I use spray "butter," which is 0 calories.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen spray butter is NOT zero calories. it has 9 calories per gram like EVERY fat. it is a marketing loophole that allows them to say it is zero calories or fat-free by making the serving size less than .5 grams which rounds to zero, when in actuality, it is 100% fat.

  • @hippymobster That's true; I would advise anyone using this to spray on a small amount, and that way you know you are getting very little fat--but, you're right, it's not totally fat free!

    --Betty :)

  • *Flamming HOOOOOOOOOOOT PoP corn *

    *BUUUUUt burning HoooooT

    *How to make flamming hot

    *Great video

  • Use flavored cooking spray alone or before you coat your popcorn with whatever flavoring/seasoning to get it to stick better.

  • @GurlPrincess Thanks for the great tip!

    --Betty :)

  • can u show us how to make a easy peanut brittle recipe :) ?

  • @Dreaminstar64 Peanut brittle is on my list; I will probably make it in fall or winter. Right now I am trying to catch up on seasonal foods. Thanks for the reminder!

    --Betty :)

  • Nice But can make a Extra Buttery goodness popcorn i love mine with lot of butter!

  • @Chickenbandana Sometimes I pour some of the fat free spray butter into a small dish and microwave it for a few seconds and then drizzle it over the popcorn. You may get some fat that way, but not much.

    --Betty :)

  • like your shirt

  • @MrNoncomputerfreak It's great! It's tastier than regular popcorn; it has a cheddar cheese flavor!

  • I want cheese popcorn =)

  • Cheese popcorn is my favorite--just shake powdered cheese on popcorn that has been sprayed with spray butter! Yum! Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • That;s a great idea! I LOVEEE popcorn and had never even thought of this!

  • I'm glad you can use these ideas! Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • mmm i luv popcorn thanks for the recipes :)

  • You are welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • ummm does the brown sugar one have to have cinnamon? thx you

  • No, no need for cinnamon!

    --Betty :)

  • I couldn't quite see the brand on the popcorn box, could you please tell me what it was?

Great tips, I'll surely try it. When I was seriously dieting I used to eat store brand dill pickles (zero calories) with yellow mustard (also zero calories). I know it sounds crazy, but it took away that late night snacking urge.

    I lost 130 lbs.

  • Wow! 130 pounds! The popcorn I use is Kroger store brand. It is 15 calories per popped cup.

    --Betty :)

  • We don't have a Kroger out here in the Bay Area. We've got Lucky's and Safeway, Andronico's and Nob Hill, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. . .but nooo Kroger's. Guess I'll have to hunt and read labels. Yes, my little girlfriend from Nepal only weighs 130, so if I ride her piggieback it feels just like being fat again. LOL. It took me 9 months to lose it, but I should have gone slower I think.

  • The brand of popcorn doesn't matter to me. I just look for the kind with the lowest calories. it really varies for popcorn, and I like to know what I'm eating. That's why I cook most of my food, rather than eating out a lot!

    --Betty :)

  • Wow, you've got that right! It's so impossible to know what you're eating when dining out. All the restaurant cares about is that it's yummy and satisfying, with an eye on their bottom line. It's easiest to load things up with fats and salts. . .and you'd never know how much. I've eaten at Subway for the last 3 years specifically to know my caloric intake and eat whole wheat bread and veggies. It worked out well.

  • Yes, at Subway, you can actually see what they put on your sandwich!

    --Betty :)

  • What's better is that they show each item's calorie count, it's even right there on every napkin. . .try to find That at a fast food place.

  • I can see how you lost the weight--by paying attention!

    --Betty :)

  • The most important element is Motivation. I had a Huge helping of that. . .but it's kind of a long sad story, so I'll spare you. Anyhow, it worked.

  • i'm assuming that you are referring to health issues. I don't have health problems, but I really want to avoid them, so I am very disciplined in my eating habits. Probably not as much as you, because I do eat things that would be on your 'no-no" list!

    --Betty :)

  • betty I love you!

  • I love all of you, too! I hope you enjoy the recipe!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty, I watch alot of your videos and am curious on what is your secret to keeping your weight in control? Any tips?

  • The main tip I have is not to deny myself anything, but to allow myself anything high in calories *ONLY IN SMALL PORTIONS*! I try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables and lean meat--not a lot of sugars and starches. If I want some rich chocolate cake, I eat a large apple first, then have only a sliver of cake. I feel very full and satisfied. I also work out at the gym. This has worked for me all of my adult life--It's not a "diet," just a lifestyle choice!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty, I love your videos - but I have heard that using the microwave zaps nearly All nutritional value from foods.

Also, you might look into using coconut oil to pop it on the stove top as an alternative. Turns out that coconut oil is actually very healthy. Just google it.

My favorite way is to pop the corn in organic coconut oil and drizzle it w/ raw agave nectar & a sprinkle of sea salt.

Keep the vids coming. Great recipes and I luv your fashion style!

  • Those are some interesting ideas! I will look into the microwaving of popcorn, and also using coconut oil. The agave nectar and sea salt sounds great! Thanks for your tips!

    --Betty :)

  • That's a great idea--popping the corn in coconut oil and drizzling it with agave nectar, and adding some sea salt! Sounds luscious!

    --Betty :)

  • those are very clever ideas ! I have sprinkled parmesan cheese on popcorn and it was pretty tasty .Thanks for the tips.

  • Oh, the Parmesan cheese is a great idea! There are lots of tricks to keeping the calories low, and yet have a very tasty treat! Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • try Mrs Dash its really good and no salt or calories

  • That's a great idea! I used to use that, but had kind of forgotten about it! Thanks for the tip!

    --Betty :)

  • What does the spray do?

  • You need the spray in order for the flavorings to stick. If you don't like to use spray, you may use melted margarine or butter, but that will add more calories, and this was designed as a low calorie dish! Please change it to meet your needs! Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • Awesome. Love popcorn. Will definitely try!

  • That's great, Deb! Nice to hear from you! I hope all is going well. Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • Yes, natural popcorn is very healty.

Thank you Betty for bringing up this topic!

  • I tried to look for ways people could shave some calories off without giving up the flavor. I hope this will help! Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • MMmmm Popcorn. I didn't know you could do so much with them. All this time i've just been eating regular microwaved popcorn as is. Thanks Betty, you're the best!!!

  • Yes, you can do a lot with popcorn; I plan to do some things with snack mixes next week! Thanks for your lovely comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Thanks for your sweet comment! I really appreciate it!

  • This is great, Betty. My oldest son lost 65 lbs after college, and one of his "ammunition" items was air popped popcorn (your microwave low fat popcorn is only a few calories more than that, and more convenient). We discovered the butter spray, and then used salt free lemon pepper, etc.. Your ideas here are so great! I am sending them to him. DORITOS BE GONE! :)

  • Thanks, Patsy! One of the things I was trying to get across is that the three flavors that I chose are just some options. Everyone can just choose herbs & spices & flavors that they like, and this can be a treat that can be enjoyed almost every time you want a snack with getting tired of it! Thanks for your agreement, Patsy!

    --Betty :)
