And no, I don't use my truck to race either.

@crazyminnesotan94 o yeah lol i went up and down the highway in full throttle in that thing and that was the loudest fucken thing ever. i have a new setup on my truck now . i put on a thrush welded muffler and it exits in a sidepipe behind the passenger door. it sounds good but not that loud but you can definately hear it

@xkyle1994x it shouldn't...it will equalize exhaust pressue and make it sound nicer...I'm not a fan of no mufflers...I drove my 04 with a cherry bomb extreme and the resonance on the highway makes my head queezy after 30 miles...its nice in town...but running like this guy is, gets old if you drive it often...My 95 has stock exhaust for this reason...it hasn't hampered the power much and I may throw a flowmaster on for sound...but don't mess with it too much if its the daily driver.

@xkyle1994x personally...2 1/4 looks too small on these trucks...2.5 is the ideal pipe with 3 or 4 inch tips and there seems to be more available in that size for mufflers and the like...plus you get ideal backpressure without choking the engine...at least from my experience...I used to run straight out the back dualed...but have now gone the way of dumps in front of the rear tire...cleans the ass end up and you don't have to worry about them rusting off...plus it sounds louder to me
@xkyle1994x well...if thats what you got...thats what you got...unless you upgrade to bigger pipe...but if it runs good and your torque doesn't suffer...which it shouldn't with 2.25...itll just sound raspy...not my thing...i like deep and loud...racecar type shit...raspy is too redneck to me...
dude shouldnt be puttin ture dual on a 95. with fuel injection true duel messes with the back pressures on each side of the block and you get less power. i did the same thing and went to a dyno and it turned out to be less than stock
@03chevyful what...the 95 only has one o2 sensor to start with...it only needs to see some sort of oxygen signal in the exhaust stream...doesn't have anything to do with back pressure...run the pipes as equal length as possible and nothing over 2.5 or 3 and you'll be plenty fine. TBI is simple EFI and it isn't monitored like a 96 and newer...it will only flow that much better. I never go without a muffler though...that is where the backpressure comes from...torque may suffer some...

@Denee6986 You will not burn a valve out with straight pipes. People have been straight pipeing trucks for a very very long time now. My Silverado/Vortec is straight piped into dual 6inch wide stacks, and my friend has a 2000 silverado with the 6.0 and he has 206,000 on his straight piped truck.
i have a 95 ford f-150 with a 302 with pacesetter headers into 2 1/4 inch pipe into a couple cherry bombs it sounds pretty decent. its true duals. i drove around for awile with open headers thats loud.
I also think that depend's on the width of the pipes as well. The smaller the exhaust pipe, the higher pitched the exhaust will sound. the wider you go, the deeper the exhaust will sound. I put 6inch wide stacks on my 2008 silverado, with the 5.3 V-8 and it sounds great. No muffler, but has a nice deep throb to it when Idleing, and when driveing.
If there is a truck stop somewhat close to you I would suggest going there. I drove an hour to a travel america truck stop to get all the parts for my CB. There is a CB shop near where I work, but they did not have the dual antennas like this one.

@Denee6986 You will not burn a valve out with straight pipes. People have been straight pipeing trucks for a very very long time now. My Silverado/Vortec is straight piped into dual 6inch wide stacks, and my friend has a 2000 silverado with the 6.0 and he has 206,000 on his straight piped truck.

i have a 95 ford f-150 with a 302 with pacesetter headers into 2 1/4 inch pipe into a couple cherry bombs it sounds pretty decent. its true duals. i drove around for awile with open headers thats loud.

I guess if you're just trying to be loud that's the way to do it....prefer a performance muffler to that any day though.

I also think that depend's on the width of the pipes as well. The smaller the exhaust pipe, the higher pitched the exhaust will sound. the wider you go, the deeper the exhaust will sound. I put 6inch wide stacks on my 2008 silverado, with the 5.3 V-8 and it sounds great. No muffler, but has a nice deep throb to it when Idleing, and when driveing.

me to man, straight pipes are loud but nothing beats the sound of a nice rumble from a performance muffler like Borla, Flowmaster, and Magnaflow.

If there is a truck stop somewhat close to you I would suggest going there. I drove an hour to a travel america truck stop to get all the parts for my CB. There is a CB shop near where I work, but they did not have the dual antennas like this one.

yeah keep on revin up that motor cold just wait and see u well fuck up ur motor so quick,, why don't you put a real exhaust on their, like some super 44 mufflers, with flowtech headers, that has some good sound to it, not just shitty,, not trying to be an asshole or anything but it sounds like shit,, and dont get me wrong i love loud trucks but they need to sound good

@dasnowrider I agree with the cold revs bit, kid you have a nice truck, take care of it, i love that cackle sound but you gotta let it warm up first. but as far as the performance mufflers, ive never really had a liking to, i prefer the somehting like that with a short glasspack setup, but to each his own.
