I haven't used an open "spinner" Reel since the first day I picked up a Bait Caster. The best Reel for acuracy and flipping. Just learn how to do it. Like he said in the Video...use more brakes and tension until you get the hang of it. Man, I can't believe all the whinners in here. Just go out and practice if you want to fish with the big boys!

some key tips with a baitcaster not mentioned here - 1. (most important) is spend the money on a baitcaster, or you'll never learn to use one, don't go buy a 30 or 40 dollar combo from wally world, spend at least 50 on a reel alone (the abu garcia black maxx is a decent reel for the money) 2. line is very important, heavier lines are easier to manage with a baitcaster for learning purposes, my favorite for managability is trilene xl 14lb mono clear 3. don't be scared

These are soo much better than spinning rods. Been using these since i was like 10. The hook set on the fish is effortless. If you do not have one of these set ups i highly reconmend it.

Casting: the rods are smaller a lot and have a faster action, the line are can be more thick as spinning.
