@ryder187mac I figured as much. The use of them has definately been abused over the years from what I've seen. I'm not one to say that and have much background behind it, as I've only been playing for about 9 1/2 months, but from my experimentation with them, I've realized how well they sound when you crescendo them. All in all, hail to Jojo.

@XxStrongDrums1996xX Yeah, they're often overused. It's a shame since many drummers have pretty sick technique but have little skill in composing so they just blast throughout a song. Though, agreed, and love using blasts in licks. But yeah, hail Jojo (I don't really follow him as much nowadays but whenever I see something of him he stuns me every time)

Folks, I did not really get what he said about the cymbals on the trash hats. Were they a 14" aax china and an X-celerator hat on top 13"? I am working on a 14" evo china and an aax 13" studio hat on top, and it seems not to match Jojo's sound. Need help.

none of those cymbals are anymore expensive then normal professional stuff.

sure its more then beginner's gear but the el sabors are mid priced, and the dont forget sabian's one price policy... any cymbal is the same price as any other cymbal the same size in the same series....

he just has quite a few cymbals for a 4 piece+2nd snare.

i have the fierce ride and it cost me exactly what i would expect for a signiture series ride cymbal

i bought it in australia in about 2001.

cost me about $650AU new. of course back then it was a signature, not a "vault"...

all the hand hammered rides and most signature rides hovered around that price point back then.
