Ugh, Domovoi... the reason I had to redo 2/4 of the game the fist time around because of the bug.

Oops, above, I meant I redid 3/4.
A very famous bug for fans of this game. If you don't talk to the Domovoi before day 5(?), he disappears and you can't get the item you get for helping him. This item is key to advancing the plot very late in the game, so not being able to get it causes a dead end and forces a restart. Arguably worse than the famous game crashing bugs, but at least you can work around those by saving often and now using DosBox.
