If you liked the game, I really recommend the film 'Space Battleship Yamato' from 2010. Very much the same spirit of space-combat/space opera film as the game is. ^-^

By the way, I beat the game with an Absoluta (as my flagship), a Corsair and three Picaroons. The three Picaroon ships are at the front, the Corsair is behind in the middle, and the Absoluta is in the middle at the back.

Absoluta = ABSOLUTA.

Corsair = KRAKOLIO (also a good flagship).

The 3 Picaroon ships = PICAROON 01, PICAROON 02 and PICAROON 03 (they all had the exact same weapons and modules).

This song made the battle memorable. Btw, I did this fight with a Corsair and 4 Picaroons, all of them armed to the teeth. Took only Formation Foe and 2 Final Roars to destroy his fleet. >:D Took so much grinding to get them, but it was worth it :D

Finished the game yesterday and wow... How did this game fail to stand out? It's one of the best Platinum Games (they're all good tbh but hey) and a great novel/RPG but it sold poorly. ;_; I wish they'd give the series another go in the future. Great music too D:

And I havent met all of the characters yet, I still have only 92% of all persons and 98% of all ships, even if I use a full playguide.

But if we get a sequel, I want a Version for the DS too, I dont want to buy a 3DS.

Btw. This song ist soooo much cooler than One winged Angel from FF7, which was a long time my favorite song from Video games.

@Lisanimus Yes you can. If you haven't gotten them here's how: destroy the ZR2, but don't kill taurus yet. Instead go to area 4's center ??? and you will find a new starlane. Go to the planet and in to the tavern and there will be a cutscene. Talk to the twins and then you can recruit them after Taurus is destroyed. Their considered one person and have some poor stats for that point of the game, but they have a great lv.5 skill right off the bat. Hope this helped. ^_^

Anyone recommend if I should take the Zenito or Enemonzo route? I know everyone's raving about how divine the Absoluta is, but is it really worth an entire empire's worth of ships?

@Spaghetti775 I went Zenito route on the first playthrough but after going the enemonzo route on the second I can safely say that the ships are so much better.

For one thing you get the Zara which is the same class as Cico's Rudianos. You also get the Enemonzo which(while it lacks the absoluta's fighter space) has ungodly high durability(6700) and armor(72).

If you use the Absoluta as your flagship it makes the game a breeze. I had that and four Agrells loaded with as many Lanternos as I could fit in the hangars. None of the boss fights took over two minutes, I had to take my time one Eremon's cutscene just to hear the whole song. IMHO High Stream Blaster and similar specials are worthless, just load your ships up with Cluster Missiles and MRVs.

@starlightdraik Well, if you've got the Corsair , that's pretty much all you'll need. As for the rest, a Mayr and the most expensive Adis ship (forgot the name), an Eberlin-class carrier. If you've got the Absoluta, please make that your flagship as it's NOS control system improves dodge and accuracy of the fleet by a godly amount.

Congrats on grinding to get the Corsair btw. I don't have that much patience :( .

@Ganymede1986 Yeah, i'm gonna use an Eleganta class carrier. I don't have access to Myagmar's battleship unfortunatly. I also don't have the absoluta class in my best save sadly. As for the corsair, well i wanna try using the ship that looks like a flying skull for a "Sheild Ship" first. My flag is an Enemonzo battleship that I equiped for close combat. That and a destroyer from Libertas are my primary ships for killing the Elite Phage, provided i get past the first three battles with them.

@starlightdraik I got the Corsair, specially after I got that captain cabin lvl3 or something like that, made that a lot easier. A Corsair, 2 Eleganta an Absoluta (all of them with as much fighters as they can) and the Estvafi. I first beated the game with Two corsairs but I rather kept my money for a 2nd run.

Too bad our Corsairs didnt had the built-in void gates, uh?

Anyone know how to beat the Elite Phage? I recently bought a sheild ship and a Lugovalian battleship.

@starlightdraik Tip : Elite Phage can't do shit @ close range, so close in and use fighters first. When the phage has hit the full gauge, gently back off with dodge, wait for it's ultimate ability. Then unleash your own final roar, go back in close and wait for your gauge to refill.

In essence, pretty much the same strategy you use to beat the taurus.

@omivaun The Elite Phage was less of a fight than the one against Eremon's Nehelenia. All it took was 10 Final Roar's from my Evstafi to take it down, but Eremon's took a hell of a long time, even if I had a Corsair leading the fleet. His freakin' ship kept avoiding my High Stream Laser. Hey, does anyone know if you can get the Nehelenia as a blueprint? I've already got the Belenus (Minus the Katida Upgrade that makes it appear longer than the original version of the ship.).

Ok, so Im at Yuri the Man chapter 6, and right now, things really aren't that tough, I know someone before told me that the fight with Eremon is hard, but I still can't help but feel that he might end up being a pushover for me. @ROWROWFITEDAPOWAH Kind of easy for me. While it might be a good idea to use formation foe, I recomend taking out anyship in his fleet that can launch fighters. Then take out any leser ships, Then go all out. Be aware his ship can launch fighters as well. An squad of Intrego class fighters does the job of killing the fighters perfectly.

1)Yell at her in hospital.

2)Get her natural flowers.

@johncmcham Yep , this time..scream all the foul obscenities you can at her. Oh, I recommend finishing Extra Mode before you try New Game+ though. You can unlock some "Mecha" fighters that way for New Game+.

Keep a separate slot for Extra mode, don't overwrite the savegame you saved at the end of the game (The one that says Title menu data). I think it might remove the New Game+ feature if you overwrote that.

@Ganymede1986 Actually, upon further investigation of my memory, i lectured her. I did all the rest. (What kind of guy gets plastic flowers?) I also wondered if it was a mistake joining Nova Nacio but i know it's a good idea know. I just have to get past the Deimos fleet battle on my alternate save(long story). Any advice for that 'cause i could use some. I have a Eudora with interceptors, a novic class destroyer, and a Borodino.
