In Romanized Chinese it is qingzang gaoyuan . Qing is Qinghai and Zang refers to Tibet. The song title means Qinghai Tibetan Plateau.

"Basang" is a common name in Tibet. I think you are talking about another one. :)

The singer is said born in 1969. She is a PLA member. I like her version of "Tian lu" very much. She is the original singer of the song. I think her version is better than Suolang Wangmu, Alan and Han hong's versions.
