  • I remember this SO well, it's classic LOL

  • 1:59 - LMAO

  • It would be nice to have Acy Baby around sometimes when the can at work is out of toilet paper.

  • Mike was a face here as part of the US Express with Barry his IRL Brother In Law Mike was a heel as Varsity Club then as the Wallstreet Character which turned in IRS and barry was Great as a face here but he spent alot longer as a heel in NWA/WCW solo and with the Four Horsemen

  • Rotundo was over twice in his career with the WWF. As a heel and a face. That's the sign of a good wrestler and performer.

  • @zzDzCzCzz he was way underrated... i dont actually rember him being a face..in wwf

but he was definetly big in wcw as varsity club member ..barry windham is a hall of famer no doubt about,,

  • That's Randy Orton's dad at the back ;-)

  • the early years of irs and the widowmaker.

  • Barry Windham THE STALKER!

  • I.R.S.!

  • classic Piper....Go Hot Rod

  • So if Rotundo was in the WWF before why the need to change his name later to IRS. He was great in Sullivan's camp. I know Flair was really the only guy able to come to the WWF after being a star in NWA/WCW w/out changing his name/image but if Rotundo had already been in the WWF why the need to change it?

  • @traviskearney they changed names often. Barry Wyndham was later "The Widowmaker" which didn't work and I think something else. Masked Superstar became Axe. When a gimmick was over you moved to a new one.

  • Husky Harris's real name is Windham Rotundo!! How ironic!

  • @OatmealForEver1 that's just sick and retarded

  • Oh yes, Roddy Piper at his best. Ya gotta hate him, to love him!

  • man husky is the spitting image of barry

  • @rocker66669 Husky is Rotunda's son. Not Barry's

  • @callmeror i know he still is the spittin image of barry

  • I always said it and now I have proof. Nobody...and I mean nobody sells gettin hit with a roll of toilet paper like Piper.

  • Did Barry throw that toilet roll at Roddy?

  • so thats why husky harris`name is windham. He should have been in wwe as windham rotundo and thats it

  • Mike Rotunda looks a little like Rob Lowe here!

  • windhams proper tall he towers roddy and orton who's about 6ft3 himself

  • Aren't they brothers

  • Piper is awesome !

  • Windham should have known Piper's credentials, since both came from the NWA world championship area.

  • @bearpaw72 Back in that time, McMahon wasn't recognizing or promoting other territories or companies. He was criticized for it by PWI for instance, but he was being the smart businessman who knew how to build his company, not his competition.

  • @bwashinski

And funny should you mention it, but when I watched wrestling back in the 1980s, I was under the impression that the five U.S. promotions with world title status back in 1987 (NWA, WWF, AWA, UWF, and World Class) were all national.

And I recently did watch some WWF footage from 1984 of McMahon promoting the Von Erichs, and he might have mentioned their concurrent promotion. And knowing how popular the Von Erichs were, McMahon might have made a mistake and learned from it.

  • @bearpaw72

The UWF title was not a world title. One thing to realize is that World Class used to be part of the NWA, and so was the WWF before Vice Jr took over from his dad.

  • @MrNWA4Life

I don't know if it's a reliable enough source, but the WWF (as the WWWF) was not part of the NWA. It withdrew from the NWA in 1963 when it was still called "Capitol Wrestling Corproration". Nevertheless, Vince McMahon Sr. was still on the NWA Board of Directors. But to support your statement, however, the same source stated that the WWF was one of the most vibrant NWA members.

  • Vince Sr. rejoined the NWA in 1971 and remained a member until he sold the WWF to Jr. in 1982. Jr. opted not to join the NWA but instead put them out of business. Between him and Jim Crockett Jr., they bother did a pretty good job. BTW, the WWWF became the WWF in 1979.

  • @MrNWA4Life

Thanks. That explains everything. BTW, I already know the WWWF became WWF in 1979.

  • @MrNWA4Life NWA would STILL be #1 if not for Vince. Everythime I think of what he did, it makes me mad.

  • @CadillacL why? if it wernt for vince mcmahon wrestling would still be wrasslin

  • @ant8tfive & for that I don't like Vince. I prefered it as 'rasslin.

  • @CadillacL i agree he has done things that have pretty much killed off the enigma to wrestling maybe forever. but wwf 80's/90's and wcw 90's were awesome.

  • @ant8tfive Oh I totally agree. Heck I was bout 13 when Hulkamania hit, & loved alot of what he did. Lookin back though, the cartoonish was a joke. Now, WCW? WOW, talk bout awesome. I went to quite a few Nitro/Thunder's. The NWO era was AWESOME. IMO, WCW went down they tried, toward the end, to be more like Vince. When they turned Mike Awesome (R.I.P) into the 70's guy, that was nuts.

  • @CadillacL Before WCW there was NWA Crockett. Check out Steamboat/Youngblood vs The Briscos. Dusty Rhodes. Ric Flair vs Harley Race,Rhodes,Lex Luger,Ron Garvin. Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard and Nikita Koloff. You will be surprised.

  • @MrNWA4Life

As for the UWF and World Class, I am probably referring to their status as of 1987. I don't know about the UWF's singles title, but I KNOW the league christened their tag team championship with world title status. That's because I watched the match in which Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner won the league's tag titles from Sting and Rick Steiner, and the announcement was "WE HAVE NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!"

  • @bearpaw72

When Bill Watts created the UWF titles, he himself said they weren't world titles. The only time any of them were ever referred to as such is when Jim Crockett Jr. bought the promotion. But they were never world titles, they were never defended outside of Oklahoma, Texas, or Louisiana until the Crockett buyout and even then were never defended outside of Crockett's shows.

  • @MrNWA4Life

By any chance, did Jim Crockett Jr. buy the UWF at any time before June/July 1987? - Because that's when Armstrong/Horner won the tag titles from Sting/Steiner.

  • @bearpaw72

I believe it was around March/April of 87. Shortly after Crockett's buyout is when Big Bubba Rogers won the UWF Heavyweight title and Armstrong & Horner won the tag title.

  • @bearpaw72

As for World Class, their title was defended outside the US (Japan and Isreal are the only other countries it was defended in), but as for the US, other then one tour of Massachusetts, the belt wasn't defended outside of Texas. No one really recognized it as a world title.

  • @MrNWA4Life

I could have sworn I saw a picture of Kevin Von Erich as World Class champion in one of the major wrestling magazines with the title belt saying "World Heavyweight Champion"

But I did see a PWI poll of five promotions (NWA, WWF, AWA, UWF, and World Class) in 1987 asking which ones should have world championship status. The NWA and WWF ranked first and second in the poll respectively. The UWF and World Class were the two promotions that got an approval rating of less than 50%.

  • @bearpaw72

Well yeah the belt did say "World Class Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion". They paid for the belt, and Reggie Parks put whatever they wanted on it. But outside of Texas, no one recognized the World Class title as a world title.

  • @bearpaw72

Actually Windham & Rotundo had just came from Florida where they were US Tag Team Champions

  • IIIIRRRRWIIINN!

  • its time for all you cry babies & finger pointers to pay your fair share!

  • 6'4 windham has more height on piper than what billed 6'8 hogan had lmao

  • @xismxist Barry Windham is 6'6 and 3 quarters..

  • @jmSadated windham was not taller than 6'4 scott hall in wcw so... fat chance

  • @xismxist you don't know shit , you were wetting fucking Diapers or Pampers when was at the Arenas and watching Territorial wrestling Back in the Day..

  • @jmSadated did the wrestlers became taller because of that?

  • @xismxist u must be a Midget..lmao

  • @jmSadated a 187 cm midget

  • @xismxist i think you've been Creating entirely too many WWE CAWS LMAO..

  • I love it when he throws the roll at his face, it always makes me laugh.

  • Vince dropped the ball here. This should have led to a whole series of tag team matches between Windham & Rotundo and Piper & Orton. As well as singles matches between the 4 of them as well. IWould have love to see Windham vs.Piper.

  • @Lfdjake91 Youre right it would've been a bitching fued. Maybe better than the Piper/Orton vs Snuka/Tonga Kid (JYD, Andre) fued.

  • @Cavillier1970

I know Jimmy Snuka and Tonga Kid were cousins and all, but I never knew they were a tag team in the WWF. But that's probably because I only started following the promotion full tilt in October 1985 - after Snuka left.

  • God that ending was hilarious!

  • @carl22069

unfortunately i didn't remember them as i only started watching, period in late 85( at 4), but only knew the big stars, so these guys, back then i never saw, but in 87' is when i really started to comprehend all the characters. this was great

  • Spivey sucked balls. And incidentally, so did both Rotundo and Windham after they stopped teaming up.

  • FU Barry Windham was awesome. His heel turn & joining of the 4 Horsemen ruled too.

  • Weelllllll.......EFFFFFF UUUUUUUUUU BUdddyyyyy!

Every move Barry Windham made in the ring you could practically see the delay it took for the brain signal to reach his limbs. He was awkward as hell to watch.

Him and Mike Rotundo together were about a wrestler and a half. Good as a team. After that they both sucked forever. Windham practically needed a disguise to wrestle again and Rotundo needed the whole WWF fanbase to get Alzheimer's to buy into his IRS thing.

  • LOL No FFFFF UUUUU moron.

U sound like a typical know-it-all mark, trying to sound all analytical on the intricacies of Windham's wrestling stlye, like U know what your actually talking about.Windham was always able to find work wether w/ WWF,NWA, WCW or Japan b/c he was a dependable, talented worker who could be counted on to give great performances. He was chosen 2B a Horseman, a rare honor @ the time, for the same reason. How many title have U held douchebag!

  • Comment removed

  • No FFFUU pal. U sound like a typical know-it-all mark, trying to be all ananlytical on the intricacies of Windham's performance, like U have a clue what your talking about. Proof of Barry's abilities is that Windham was always able to find work w/ either WWF, NWA, WCW, or Japan b/c he was a good worker who could be depended on to have great matches. He was selected to be a Horsemen for the same reason.

  • wow i pissed you off so bad you had to come back 8 hours later and alter your FU. I would say that's somewhat pathetic, but you would just accuse me of being logical and having no life.

  • @Snailbarf And about the no life part I would be 100% right douchebag.

  • @Snailbarf Barry Windham was one of the best. He slowed down due to injuries and I believe weight problems. He had great matches with Flair, and probably should have been allowed to win the title. Rotundo also had a solid career and did well in Japan in the 90's.

  • @Lfdjake91

Thats when Barry was really awesome. Heel Barry Windham ruled

  • this was when wrestling was good.

  • IRS was the best gimmick.

  • @kmg4 So was the Varsity Club.

  • I remember this segment of Piper's Pit quite well. One of the funniest!

    Ken Palmer

  • they didn't get broken up... Windham decided to leave in '85, but Rotundo stayed until early '87. They teamed Rotundo with Danny Spivey as the new US Express, but it wasn't the same. By '87, they were both being used mostly as glorified jobbers.

  • the toilet paper roll throw at the end was funnier than hell. didn't expect that and I don't think piper did either! haha

  • due where did you get all this footage its awesome...piper is my favorite of all time hands down!

  • "I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid"....Ahhh, priceless.

Piper really did get Hulk-A-Mania running like a freight train.

  • love it thank you

  • Piper lost that one!

  • IR-WIN

    IR-WIN

    IR-WIN

  • I thought the boxing match with Mr. T was pretty funny.

  • @AdoribleAdrian This took place after Wrestlemania I, so this was a year before Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Mr. T.

  • thank you crowbar2009.....you are so right

thats what im trying to tell this moron.

Cowboy Bob never competed in a match of any worth

  • My God...why hate on Bob Orton? If you think he was that worthless, try talking to Piper,Valentine,Hogan,Orndorff,Santana, Flair. They all respected him as a worker. As far as great matches-his Georgia work, NWA work, and wwf work- I mean the matches w/Dick Slater on Starcade. He had great matches v Orndorff, Santana, Steamboat,Backlund. Tagged w Piper and then Muraco. He wasn't just some flunkie that stood behind Piper. Watch Roddy's dvd and see what he says about Bob.

  • Playboy buddy rose says bob was the best worker that he ever saw and the playboy wrestled them all...

  • never saw cowboy bob have a good match in wwf,his greatest claim to fame is a boxing match with mr t & that was a disaster.

  • List Cowboy Bob Ortons notable achievements shitforbrains...and i dont mean his ridiculous induction into the Hall of Fame

  • WHAT A TOUGH COMEBACK FUCKHEAD...LOL

  • Shut up u fuckin' troll. Your exposing your ignorance to the entire world.

  • rotundo is IRS.

  • You know what?? Piper was and is still so fuckin cool, they should induct him into the hof again just on that alone!!

  • sit down, sit down, sit down boys, lol

  • I wish someone would upload the match when the Dream Team beat US Express.

  • they were a good tag team, and to beat real life brother in laws

  • Piper was a master on the mic, no one better to work a crowd up. He should have been a heel all his career

  • only the rock was more electrifying. but piper was damn good.

  • I always thought the funniest part of this Pit was the end when they trew the tissue at Piper!!

  • Windham improved greatly on the mic once he went to the NWA in the late 80s

  • I agree this was a weak Piper's Pit. Windham & Rotundo were not very good on the mic so they had trouble interacting w/ Roddy, but they really did stump him with that "where isyour belt?" line.

  • Classic Piper!!

  • Piper & IRS YESSSSSS! 2 of the best ever! Hope IRS(Rotundo) gets inducted into the hall of fame.

  • You are an idiot, the guy is a 5 time WWF tag champ, NWA Tag and TV champ (one of the longest reigns ever) , Florida champ, and one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. He made crap like Beefcake and others look like a million bucks

  • IRS!

  • LOL
