ive done all the college meetings and the only thing i wanna know is how cool are the people there and r there hot girls in the area since the college is mostly guys.

@patrickmollette15 hahaha funny you'd ask... yeah the people here are pretty chill and the IP's are really cool (if you get the cool ones). Girls?? ehhhhhh yeah the ratio is really low, but im sure you can venture off campus and see them there. All the other colleges have normal ratios

@Godiscool2010 Before uploading the video, youtube asked me if i wanted to upload a video that was more than 10mins long. I clicked "yes" and it said as long as the video doesnt contain copy writen material (movies, dvds, music) i can post it..... and yeah it wouldnt be a good video if it was less than 10mins. All my flying videos ive made are about 12mins or more

@geekman300 I think that they gave you a special privilage. You do great video work. You are probably going to be flying cross-countrys now. You can do a whole cross-country and put it on here.

@Godiscool2010 Thank you very much!.... i just did my solo earlier this week, and now im on short/soft field take-off's. After that i move on to night flights and then to x-countries. Im shooting to get my private by mid-late february

I miss flying at Riddle sometimes, but I def do not miss people being toolbags there and doing things like ramping in and out like you're talking to ATC with full callsign and saying "fife" and "tree" and reading back and acting like their just a bunch of shithot pilots, but in reality when their AHRS fails, they end up nearly crashing.

@DiamondPilotDan Yes we have fixed pitch 172's... Its the 182's that can change pitch, but we dont fly 182's. Riddle flys C-172, Piper Arrow, and DA-42 Twin Star. The Twin Star and the Arrow both have pitching propellers btw.... the reason for the twisting mixture is bcuz at cruising altitude they teach us to lean the mixture for best engine performance and to decrease the amount of fuel burn to save gas.

Hate to burst your bubble but all the money you are pouring in to that school could have gotten you all of your ratings, a bachelors from a normal university and still have 100K left over. Something to think about, by the way, the regionals pay 18K a year for a first officer. STAY AWAY FROM LOANS.

@rev4life03 i already knew what i was getting myself into in the first place before i even got accepted to the school. Despite the high costs and everything, Embry Riddle aluminies turn out to become some of the best pilots that airline companies look for. Not saying that this school is the best in the world, hear me out, 1 out of every 4 pilots in the world graduated from Embry Riddle because they know that they are quality pilots. But your right, your paying more for the name than anything

If that was the case, none of the CFI's at riddle would be graduates. Here me out, How could someone who learned at riddle who learned to fly in awesome airplanes, glass cockpits in mostly decent weather possibly be the best pilots? Most riddle grads i know havent even flown in IMC, flown with the six pack.

@rev4life03 Riddle Grads are called Riddle Rats at the airlines for a reason, it isnt because they are the best, you sound like a decent guy, so dont take this personally, but riddle grads have been given this stereo type because riddle turns them in to these cocky kids who think they are gods gift to aviation. That is not what airlines look for. Funny thing is that they have a bachelors in aeronautical science and dont even know how to fuel a citation..

@rev4life03 ok so maybe i worded that wrong.... ive known some pilots who have graduated and different school who are some of the best pilots that i know to this say. I could say it is the training Riddle gives, but ehhhh i dont necessarily agree to everything they do hahaha....

@geekman300 Dont get me wrong, riddle seems like a good school, but some things are exaggerated, Ive met some who loved it, and met some who hated it. Best of luck in school, who knows, in ten years we could be next to eachother flying the 787!

@rev4life03 I chose my words carfully.. thats why i said "some pilots" not all pilots, and yeah the school has been know to have some stuck up pilots in the recent years so ill give you that one. But, we do fly the Piper Arrow which is all round dials, and some students, like myself, want to take that route only because we want to be proficient in that as well. I dont take offense to that at all. Ive always liked to hear what the people from outside looking in have to say
