  • This guy is so dangerous- why wouldn't he want to get a homosexualhate bill thru unless he was evil incarnate?

  • Barton is a pathological liar and complete fundamentalist fraud.

  • For you people that are arguing over the "Treaty of Tripoli", you may want to read the entire Tready and not just the part that says we are not a CHRISTian nation. what it says it that we are not a CHRISTian nation like the CHRISTian nation we left in Great Britian, but we are a CHRISTian nation, we just don't come against muslims and Arabs. meaning we welcome you but whether you come here or not we are a CHRISTian nation. My And Our GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST BLESS You Us All Amen(-:!

  • @JCWarriorjrf 2 - from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed, by inserting the word "Jesus Christ," so that it should read "a departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion." The insertion was rejected by a great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of it's protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mahometan, the Hindoo, and infidel of every denomination.

  • @JCWarriorjrf No distinction seems to be more obvious than that between spiritual and temporal matters. Yet whenever they have been made objects of Legislation, they have clashed and contended with each other, till one or the other has gained the supremacy."

[James Madison in a letter to Thomas Jefferson Oct-Nov 1787]

  • Although Jefferson did admire the morality of Jesus, Jefferson did not think him divine, nor did he believe in the Trinity or the miracles of Jesus. In a letter to Peter Carr, 10 August 1787, he wrote, "Question with boldness even the existence of a god."

In a letter to Ezra Stiles Ely, 25 June 1819, he wrote, "You say you are a Calvinist. I am not. I am of a sect by myself, as far as I know."

  • To the United Baptist Churches in Virginia in May, 1789, Washington said that every man "ought to be protected in worshipping the Deity according to the dictates of his own conscience."

After Washington's death, Dr. Abercrombie, a friend of his, replied to a Dr. Wilson, who had interrogated him about Washington's religion replied, "Sir, Washington was a Deist."

  • Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

  • It should be noted. That the secular movement throught the U.S. did'nt come about until the late 60's. Lets take look back what was going about the country at that time. Yes it the coming of age of the baby boomers and the whole hippie movement. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll, right. You had a large group of young adolescents who wanted to live life without consequences. In which the natural passed those traits down to the next generation (X). The beginning to the end of our nation.

  • @ericlebo I vote for a life without consequences and to cut off the nuts of those who want to control me or anyone else with their religion...it's a control mechanism...take it and shove it. WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION, as the Senate UNANIMOUSLY said in the Treaty of Tripoli. Our country is BASED on NOT being of ANY religion, but for each PERSON to chose for themselves. PERIOD...stop all this religious CRAP.

  • Smartest guy on the planet. When you see 100s of videos about this guy you will faint with astonishment. The amount of knowledge this guy has about past present and future is staggering to say the least.

  • When presented with historical facts, anti-Christians will stop at nothing... Nothing is sacred, not choice, not life, not freedom...

All will see, and sooner than you think, that Jesus was good, and man is intrinsically evil... All you posers will need to go beyond FOX or CNN or ANY other major news organization to find the TRUTH!

    Seek, knock, ask...

  • @tomaji69 Nice try! Here is the entire quote:

"Twenty times in the course of my late reading, have I been upon the point of breaking out, 'This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it.' !!! But in this exclamation I should have been as fanatical as Bryant or Cleverly (Massachusetts radicals in 1817). Without religion this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company. I mean hell."

  • @grabfam1 - Please read the Treaty of Tripoli, which was passed UNANIMOUSLY by the U.S. Senate and says in Article 11..."...the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion...". Get it? Done...now, let's stop saying that America is a Christian nation, or any such rubbish.

  • @Tomaji69

The treaty of Tripoli was signed as a TREATY to assure Arab nations that the United States would not use religion as a means interpreting. Article 11 was created to assure the Arabs that no Christian-Muslim conflict would arise between the two nations. It is a matter of interpretation and a way of saying "no, we won't declare a crusade against you" rather than saying, "no, we praise God and came from Anglican England, but all of a sudden we're not Christian."

  • @mysturray Bullcrap....the U.S. Senate UNANIMOUSLY voted YES and they each had a copy in their hands and it was read aloud in the Senate prior to voting. If there was any doubt WHATSOEVER, there would have been debate, anger....SOMETHING...here is what was read LOUD AND CLEAR....."the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"...LOUD AND CLEAR....our founding "Fathers"...this is HOW they felt about religious freedom. Stop your lies.

  • @Tomaji69 I don't care to go back and forth on this. For all who are interested here's the article on just search for "Treaty of Tripoli" and read the wikipedia article. It's well cited. Look at the part on article 11. I just think of motive, and how you seem to want to claim something that seems to contradict history (coming from Anglican England). If what is claimed is true there should be some document specifically for the US, not a treaty with another country, at least in my mind.

  • @mysturray Deists believe in a God but are not Christian or any other religion.

  • Two hundred years later, much has been unveiled. Many theories have been proven to be otherwise. It's time we stop quoting our forefathers (mostly slaveowners!) and start "thinking" for ourselves. The most important words in the Bible are, "Love one another." Why aren't republicans more in tune with this? Perhaps they could ask God for more wisdom in deciphering truth from fiction (Fox News). God is LOVE...not FEAR. Let's start using our God-given brain to decipher, not follow blindly.

  • @gingerbread3100 Its already been stated in the Bible, All men are LIARS and Jesus is the only TRUTH!? That includes You, and every body else that would like to be a LIAR too. Everybody are all LIARS. Jesus is the only Way,Truth, And the Life. And without him you are simply NOTHING. Stop worrying with this world it is fixing to shake like you would not believe. Repent and get to know and obey Jesus while there is time. Nobody else will help you, family, etc. Just Jesus.

    Jesus Bless All!

  • “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36)

If you try to change a government of men into the kingdom of God you both reduce him and sin. David Barton and others like him are slaves of a power seeking Devil. The devil has taken over countries like IRAN with theocracy. The Devil is aiming for the purest of his creations of free will. The USA. His messenger?

  • "This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it." - John Adams -- (Yes, John Adams...the founding father who CREATED our Constitution).

  • @Tomaji69 If you look up the history of this quote you'll find that you've taken it out of the context of the original and changed the meaning.

  • Pelosi is on Paxil, Wellbutrin and thinks she is God. I wish she would be nailed to hell or maybe a nice car crash maiming her.

  • @Transcribes

Such a loving and Christ-like thought.

  • The first bible printed in English in America was printed by the US congress in 1782 as shown in US records, Congress wrote," This bible is a neat addition to the holy scripture for the use of our schools." This bible can be seen on display in the US capital building if your their. So much for not being based on Christianity. These are simple facts.

  • @ddfrankdd Debunked by Chris Rodda. Check it out on youtube and accept the facts.

  • @ddfrankdd

It says "for the use of our schools", not "for the basis of our constitution on the principles of Christianity". And I'm sure there were math books available "for the use of our schools" but that doesn't mean our constitution was based on math!!! I have a bible on display in my storage room if you're here. So what? My goodness, these are simple facts.

  • This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it. - John Adam -- (Yes, John Adams...the founding father who CREATED our Constitution).

  • "This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it." - John Adams -- (Yes, John Adams...the founding father who CREATED our Constitution).

  • @ddfrankdd almost correct - in 1782 the government was the Articles of Confederation not our current Constitution

  • @ddfrankdd Barton is a complete liar! go to Liarsforjesus (.) com

  • @ddfrankdd And what does the first bible printed in America have to do with our Constitution? Oh, nothing!

  • @ddfrankdd That quote was from a memorial written by Robert Aiten to Congress not the other way around. This is from Barton's Wallbuilders website:

On January 21, 1781, Robert Aitken presented a "memorial" [petition] to Congress offering to print "a neat Edition of the Holy Scriptures for the use of schools."

The text is on the Wallbuilders site.

  • Sorry, I cannot see how my last comment was clueless... perhaps if you'd like to expound on that so-called observation. I'd really like to know what "Obama-Pelosi-Reid" kind of conspiracy Mr. Barton has drawn up. Sadly, all that was expressed in this video was more pandering to the American Christian demographic by telling them what they want to hear. If you believe different, feel free. But, as far as clues... I hope you one day find one. Peace.

  • Yes...we should keep religion out of politics. Like the Muslims. Oh wait...

  • @january91 i agree keep religion out of politics ,our country is made up of many religions. i see this as a lot propaganda to win over republican votes. God lives in us we are the house of the lord, to say that the white house was once a church is just a another scheme by the same people that helped elect x president Bush.

  • hmm... David Barton wants to point to killing homosexual hate crime bills and pro-life/anti-choice bills being struck down or not coming up for vote as a problem? This is the kind of strange duplicity that I find in 'caring' ''Christians'' who put their opinions into politics. The United States were not founded on Christian principles, and the idea of placing theology into the same realms as history and politics, no matter what theology, is dangerous and foolish. Keep religion out of politics

  • @universalvagabond Please don't comment if you are that clueless.

  • you want congress to make things better, bring home the troops, vote no on torture, climb out of special interest pockets, and audit the feds. cool?

  • arn't we here to help one another in our faith? not batter eachother? god said above all, love one another. period.

  • One was removed and it was a direct quote from the bible, it was 2 Machabees 8:21. Which obviously someone didn't like. Why would only one of five be incredibly hateful? I know it wasn't because I wrote it, I think you are confusing me for someone else.

  • ON and ON FREEDOM is NOT free, neither is the practice or speech of your faith, God said and knows this, Christians were imprisoned because of their faith and the day, God knew, will come again if for not war. If we let the oppressors get bigger they will invade, as they already are, and we will become the oppressed. Tomaji try moving to Pakistan or Iraq then comment on what the Lord wants YOU to do, I bet He doesn't say "Stay home and type for the oppressors"

  • @acenflstar1 - Fear is behind all anger and hate. Let go of your anger and you will find what you fear. It is yourself. There is nothing to fear if you TRULY believe in Jesus.

  • @Tomaji69 If you TRUELY believe in Jesus you would fear making Him cry. I do. You would fear the feeling of ever hurting Him. I hate no one and anger lives no where near me. Psalms 36:8 Cease from anger, and leave rage; have no emulation to do evil.

  • @acenflstar1 - I think one or more of your comments were removed because they were incredibly hateful. What makes Jesus cry is war, greed and people using the name of Jesus to further their political agendas.

  • @Tomaji69

    Exodus 17:16

Because the hand of the throne of the Lord, and the war of the Lord shall be against Amalec (enemies of Lord's People), from generation to generation.

This is the bible of your Jesus and mine. Notice this is just the second book of the bible, the Lord knew since the beginning war will always be waged against the Christian religion and beliefs. I have no political agenda.

  • Numbers 10:9 If you go forth to war out of your land against the enemies that fight against you, you shall sound aloud with the trumpets, and there shall be a remembrance of you before the Lord your God, that you may be delivered out of the hands of your enemies.

  • Jesus is a Socialist. He would DEMAND that we have Universal Health Care, for example, AND for those accumulating wealth to give up ALL their worldly goods for the benefit of others. He would NEVER allow anyone to go to WAR, or to torture. He would recognize that most social systems have "leaders" and those leaders are NOT to put themselves ABOVE the citizens, but to SERVE the citizens. This means wealthy people are to SERVE those who work daily to serve them so they can be in those positions.

  • @Tomaji69 you are so right

  • November elections are almost here. Remember Christians, we should never vote for someone that supports abortion. How can we claim to love God and be complicit in the killing of his children? The Democrat Party Platform proudly supports abortion. Even a pro-life Democrat will never have any clout because of THE PARTY. The Republican Platform is pro-life. A Republican Congress can tie B.O.'s hands. So make your vote count! Also, at least 95% of Independents vote with Dems. God bless America.

  • @GodsGalaxy It is not about killing children it is about individual freedom God granted to every man. I cannot force my Christian beliefs on other people and if women choose to get an abortion (and I am against murder) I cannot force people to do what they do not want to do. Barton and his ilk want to legalize Christianity as did Constantine of ancient Rome...and we all know how that went. Dark Ages ring a bell? I am not a dem or republ.

  • @GodsGalaxy My oprayer is not for God to bless America but for God to save the lost inhabitants of the world!

When God saved me he gave me love for all people, all nations all continents and all villages all hamlets all countries.

  • @GodsGalaxy - Jesus would say it is up to each individual to decide what is "moral" and NOT up to the mob who would throw stones.

  • Isn't Pelosi a Catholic and Reid a Mormon????????

  • @Eaglesfaninca - Go start your own country somewhere and have it run by whichever religion YOU think is best. I'm sure that's what Jesus would do...ha ha.

  • Didn't realize the margin of win was that low...Dems are in some trouble come November...Landslide baby.

  • @mdbarnes21 - Dems don't tell lies in the name of Jesus, like right wing extremist Republicans do, so they have my vote. I hope all those who voted Democratic in 2008 come out and do it again, so those who care about people instead of money can take our country back and do what Jesus would do...help each other and take care of the social needs of community. Jesus is a socialist and America's capitalist system is WAY out of balance with greed and corruption.

  • Wow! How correct David Barton was and is!

  • @yakyakyak69 Barton is as correct as a three dollar bill!

  • By the way, kressink is not an educated moral objective reviewer as he claims.....he is an amoral atheistic liberal, Marxist partisan. He intends to do well but instead his beliefs and actions are nothing more then the propaganda of his kool aid drinking handlers. People seeking to be Patriots might be wary of blindly following his hatemongering rhetoric.

  • @JohnQPublic11 you are correct sir!

  • @JohnQPublic11 - We are FREE to be "immoral" or Atheist or Socialist or anything we want to be or think. It is OUR choice and NOT yours. Get out of my bedroom. Get out of my life and try to simply run your own with the choices YOU are FREE to make for YOURSELF. You are not my parent and I refuse to follow your "directions". This is America and America is about FREEDOM, so LET GO of the controls...it's OK, we'll be fine if you just LET GO. You see, THAT's the problem....YOU trying to control me.

  • By the way, David Barton is not a historian as your description claims ... he is an evangelical, conservative, political partisan. He is a pious fraud, meaning he probably intends to do well in the mission of making America a Biblical nation, but he distorts and lies to convince others. Christians might be wary of blindly following his rhetoric and claims.

  • Kressink. funny how you can out of nowhere only havent even been log in for 2 monthes just long enough to comment on this video. You must be one of those worried Liberal trouble makers just triing to bash a good man telling the truth that you cant handel.

  • @viperBSG - Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Stop trying to control everyone....FREEDOM is what America is about. Freedom to CHOOSE for ourselves. That's about abortion, about when to have sex, about who to marry..it's the RIGHT of Americans to have the FREEDOM to choose for themselves - NOT YOU. We don't need YOU to be our parent, so let go. It's none of your business. Right wing extremists sound just like Nazi Germany!!

  • @kressink Barton refuses or is unable to see that what he wants never existed in the first place...this nation was never about God per se but about individual rights and to their credit the writers of the nation's guiding documents realized you could not legislate morality but gave rights to each human being knowing each was created in God's image. Barton cannot see this!

  • @wonone100 Freedom requires responsibility and self-control.

“If some men are entitled by rights to products of the work of others, it means that those others being forced to provide are deprived of their rights and are condemned to slave labor. There can be no such thing as the right to enslave even for the welfare of others.”

You have the liberty to make free choices but you don't have the right to kill another person iof ANY age or force others to pay for your mistakes or misfortune.

  • @yakyakyak69 I agree but we live in a sin cursed world where those who are wrong threaten violence and murder if their rights are not given top priority. As A Christian I have no rights only commandments given by God and one is to love even my enemies, tho I do not agree with them

This is the problem if everyone's rights were recognized how could two walk if they disagree? It is up to the Christian to turn the other cheek because the one demanding their rights is the one who is wrong.

  • @wonone100 someone who demands their rights is wrong? what kinda stupid shit is that? whatever i expect that kinda stupidty from a christian.

  • @anthonymbichara Whether we like it or not it is what they do. Like the atheists and the homosexuals;ey demand their rights. Christians do not do this but the world does.

I recall the man who demanded his rights be honored because he said his daughter was being forced to listen to prayer in school (under God) in the Pledge if Allegiance it was wrong he said.

Christians do not demand their rights I know I don't God gave me commandments not the right to sin against him.

  • @wonone100 - Very well put.

  • Barack Obama's mindset is opposite of Christian values??? Are these the values of Jesus, the old testament, or the new evangelical prosperity values?

  • Kressink, ask Jesus and see what he says. Being a Christian is about a relationship with Christ. Jesus is there for all who are willing to seek him. If you want to know if President Obama's values line up with Christ, ask Him. Ask Him to reaveal himself to you. He is real and He has the power to change lives. I'll be praying for you.

  • @skharvey4 Obama is not a Christian; he mocked the Bible. He is ignorant of the Mosaic Code and this was evidenced by what he said concerning the law....he doesn't know the difference between the civil law & the ceremonial law. He doesn't understand the prophets, the kings, the writings, the psalms, the proverbs; he made this all clear in his asinine statements including his ludicrous description of the sermon on the mount.

  • @wonone100 and thought I am not a religious right or agree with the christian coalition; James Dobson did nail it when he said Obama has a fruitcake theology.

  • @wonone100 - I think Obama, like me, is not someone to have blind faith in the particular dogma of a church or religion that is about greed or fighting wars, conquering or torturing people, etc. Many things done in the name of Jesus are HORRIBLE and NOT what Jesus would approve of!!

Instead, to do as Jesus would do as much as you can. That's what I try to do and that is how I administer what I believe Jesus is all about. Caring about others and the general welfare, compassion, and brotherhood.

  • @wonone100 There are many hateful, greedy people using the Bible to somehow "Justify" their horrible political viewpoint as propaganda, rather than doing as Jesus would do. Jesus is about GIVING, not TAKING. About helping ALL those who need help. It is NOT making WAR or torturing people or holding onto money when others have none, etc. Those who deny Jesus should not present themselves as "Christians" or Hell will surely await them.

  • @Tomaji69 Jesus also cries when you judge others, especially Jesus. You're pretty sure He's a socialist???

  • @acenflstar1 i'm pretty sure he was a hippy. what's so funny bout peace, love and understanding?

  • @palmostositive Elvis Costello? Not quite a hippy..more of a Buddy Holly I think....

  • @mav616 that song was actually written by nick lowe, but yeah, i love elvis costello. and the question still holds true. cheers!

  • @skharvey4 - You know very well that Jesus is a Socialist. He would want all people to share what they have with their neighbors...to help each other. But, no Jesus wasn't half BLACK, so maybe that's your issue...how can someone be half black and act more like Jesus than any president since Carter? This just can't be, so Obama must be condemned because he doesn't "look" the part....? Jesus was NOT a "Christian"...he was Christ. There's a huge difference.
